    Love the outdoor patio!

I love shipwreck. My family and I go here all the time. I love the crab cakes, the shrimp, buffalo shrimp, ragoons and I always get the blackened grouper! The service is absolutely amazing and I love the owner Alex! The team goes above and beyond to make us feel special! I also hosted a party in the event space and they did such a fabulous job! I highly recommend Shipwreck if you are looking for great scratch cooking and seafood! I also had the best key lime pie of my life!

Another outstanding meal!! Love this place!! Highly recommend for lunch ,dinner or drinks. Staff is amazing!!

We have tried this place before and was not up to what I would say was good that was before we even tried the food since we left before being served. The name fits the decor perfectly it took a several minutes to be noticed at the hostess station right there that's points off to me since that's why we walked out the first time. The gentleman came told us only the bar area is available since they like everyone else is short staffed this in turn effected the service all around but yet he sat people dinning room after we sat at the bar kind of strange. The food selection went along with the name nothing mind blowing. Was hoping the first try there was just a bad day for them but after the second visit nope

Burned chicken from Shipwreck in Griffith, In. The other side looked even worse but Sharon didn't want me to be so obvious.

After jonesing for some shrimp from Shipwreck for a couple of weeks, we finally get back there. I got my shrimp, and Sharon got fried chicken. The chicken was burned (photo attached). I finally talked Sharon into sending a dish back. Yay! The waitress, who was great, said 'ya a lot of people ask about that. It seems like it's the oil they use'. Um, ok, but we don't want it. So we split my shrimp dinner while the plate of burned chicken sat on our table waiting for the manager - who never came by our table. Instead, the 'manager' put it on the waitress to apologize on his/her behalf. The place was not that busy and that is a classless and gutless move. My rating drops from 4 to 2.

Cozy nightlife at Shipwreck in Griffith, IN.

Through the breaking sun light from miles of greenery lies an island of exotic artisian entrees over fresh cut fries keeping the hot summer nights wildly tasteful and original. The refurbished atmosphere brings a satiating and savoring seafood excursion with music, key lime sweet finishes, and an outdoor cozy eatery for a dinner as intriguing as the location away from the daily grind of after work traffic and shopping mall madness. First time I enjoyed the pig bread, and the fries are delicious. Voodoo sauce was new too, pulled pork, crumbled cheese I love, and a little buffalo sauce always wakes my tastebuds. Wish I had two stomachs for the shrimp that can be ordered on a wonderful plate made from true hearts of Florida. Ahhh! a place to feel closer to oceanic crustacean creations with white sand beaches in mind, and a welcoming and friendly tropical staff at this enchanting restaurant shipwrecked in the quiet wooded area of Griffith to getaway for a bite of Floridas finest seafood cooked and served nicely. Gotta go back.

I looked at the menu on the wall. There was a sign that stated 4% Higher with CRedit CArD . I looked at the menu the arrow pointed to. I went to the counter to order. The PIZZA section stated Our Pizzas are Hand Tossed to give you that Personal Touch! We went with a SMALL Cheese Pizza for $10.92. From the FRIED FOODS section, we got Cheese Curds for $6.24. From the same section, we got Mushrooms for $6.24. From the SIDE ORDERS section, we got Garlic Bread for $3.12. We sat at a table while we waited. Our order was ready fast. I was given a free menu, so that was cool. I was excited to try everything. All we had to do was get back to our place. We were given a free red sauce and a free ranch. The Cheese Pizza was beautiful. Every bite was delicious. The Cheese Curds were decent. With the red sauce, they were better. With the ranch, they were awesome. The Mushrooms were okay. With the red sauce, they were a little better. With the ranch, they were tasty. The Garlic Bread had a nice flavor. I enjoyed it. The service was great. I didn't have any issues. I'm torn between a three or a four star rating. I placed a to-go order on a Friday night around 6…read moreand was told it would be an hour and 15 minute wait. No problem. It's about 15-20 minutes from my house. I showed up about 50 minutes after I ordered. The lot next to the business was pretty full but I found a spot. The lobby is very tiny, but there are a few chairs for people waiting. When I got there it was a line out the door but it moved very quickly. When I got my pizza I could tell that it was probably sitting for a bit because the bottom of the pizza was moist with condensation. By the time I got home the pizza was barely warm. Next time I will be there earlier to get the pie fresh out of the oven. Even though the pizza was definitely not hot it was pretty good. The crust was thicker than I expected. Everyone kept talking about the thin, cracker-like crust, but the crust was actually kind of thick. I appreciate that they have a non-pork meat option (beef). I wish they would offer turkey sausage. More people are giving up pork and it would definitely give them an edge. Anyway, was it the best pizza I've had in Notthwest Indiana/Southeast Chicago suburbs? Absolutely not, but it was solid. I have to give them another chance and eat it while it's hot and fresh.

Ordered a medium sausage and it was delicious. $16.21 and it was actually huge. It was ready in 20…read moreminutes.

NWI you should count your blessings to have Squigi's 'zza in your backyard! This is damn good…read morepizza! When I opened that box and saw those square pieces of pie, I got excited, but then I took a bite and WOW! The crust had phenomenal crunch and even though it qualifies as thin crust, it is almost like thin crust had a baby with thick/deep dish. It was crunchy on the outside and soft airy dough inside. But crust alone can't make a pizza if the toppings don't taste great. And these toppings were the perfect marriage with this crust! They really are fresh, quality ingredients. I'm jelly I don't live nearby because this would be my go to place for pizza. I was staying in a hotel nearby and had it delivered and it was piping hot upon arrival and was not the least bit soggy/steamed. Can't say enough good things about Squigi's!!
