I been eating these donuts since I was 8 years old, and I still haven't had a better donut. It's the Kolache's what makes it for me. I always order the jalapeño ham or sausage. So worth trying if you get to read more

I think this is the location I visited this morning. The drive through went really fast. The donuts were delicious and warm, the lady that took my order was extremely present! Thank you! read more

As a northerners who loves a good donut, I found these to be decent. Everyone was screaming about how good they were. I didn't get it warm, though, which might have elevated it. I got a glazed with vanilla cream. The donut was soft but not overly doughy. The cream was thick and viscous but not overly sweet, either. I wouldn't give it KK, but I wasn't disappointed. read more

Sad donut. Decided on the nut topped donut. There were plenty of walnuts on top. It was basically a glazed donut with cinnamon into between the rolls. The walnuts were not toasted. This would Have improved the taste. What would have improved the donut even more was to be cooked through. The centre was uncooked dough. read more

Finally! A good Shipley! I have been so disappointed in Shipley lately. Get this straight, a hot Shipley glazed doughnut is the best in the world. Better than Krispy Kreme. However, a non-hot Shipley doughnut is just pretty ordinary. Of late, every time I go to a Shipley, they never have hot doughnuts. Never. Even the busy ones. Never. When I went in it was obvious right out of the gate they didn't have any hot doughnuts (you can see the kitchen). I asked anyway and she said I could have three. I waited a bit and they went back in the kitchen and fried up three doughnuts just for me. When I got them they were too hot to eat. HEAVEN! Unbelievable service. Wish they were all like this. read more

It was located along Kirkwood and I10.A lot of parking spots.Very clean.I bought a strawberry donut for $1.Super cheap. Wikipedia says" donuts are unhealthy.A lot of calories and sugars I was wondering why Americans eat such a unhealthy food in the morning. This is not a breakfast food.Donuts are some sweets. I am from Japan.People don't eat such unhealthy sweets in the morning.I can't blame Shipley. But to eat sweets is some guilty pleasure once a week. So sad to say but I've never been to a Shipley's until today. It was 2pm and I had no idea they were still open. With my sweet tooth I had to try a couple donuts. I ordered the powdered, glazed, blueberry, and the cinnamon sugar. All very sweet, but the bread itself was very soft and fluffy. I would say I enjoyed everything but the powdered. It needed to be more sweet. The blueberry was my favorite. I think I'd still choose Dunkin donuts over Shipley's but still not bad place to go since they're everywhere!! read more

It's so hard to stay away from good donuts. I try to lose the darn belly fat and stay away from carbs and sugar but the glazed donuts, kolaches & strawberry milk is usually too tempting when I pass by this place on a Sunday. Every now and then, I'd give in to the temptation if some glazed donuts or a bag of their donut holes. The kids like the ones with sprinkles after they have their sausage and cheese kolaches. I like the jalapeño kolaches read more

I received shitty racist counter service from one of the cashiers who spoke Spanish. I speak Spanish and I spoke to everyone when I came in. Even though I was ignored. The cashier proceeded to ignore me and leave me to go do nothing at the drive thru and didn't complete my bag of what I just ordered. She left me to get it myself when the ppl before and after me got small talk and items handled to them. She wanted nothing to do with me. And she made it known. I come and support every morning on my way to teach in this community. I teach your children. And I love them all. But I see and pray they are different than this at home. I'll be honest.. I only come here for their glazed donuts. Lol For the past 9 years, this place has been my favorite! I take my kids out here every Saturday morning to pick up some FRESH made, hot donuts! Mornings are pretty busy, esp on the weekends. Drive Thru is also long, but it goes by quickly. Their kolaches and other iced donuts are alright.. but their glazed donuts are aaaaa-maazing! If you come here in the morning, while it's busy, don't fret. It's a good sign! Due to high demand, they have to keep up with their glazed donuts, meaning that 95% of the time, you'll get steaming hot, glazed donuts/very warm, fresh ones! Service is friendly. The ladies here work fast and are real nice. Facility is clean, and they have a patio in front with benches and tables. Parking is abundant, and there's a shells gas station right next door. read more

Went in here today for the first time. Its in a great location at the Kirkwood / I10 East bound intersection. Lots of cars in the Drive Thru but they were moving quickly. There were about 10 people inside but they have 3 registers so now I know its most definitely quicker to walk in. Lots of bilingual employees which is a plus because it kept the line moving. I ordered 4 Sugar White donuts and they had EXTRA EXTRA powered sugar. I'll be back. I also LOVE that its in the same parking lot of of Starbucks and Spicy Pickle. read more

I effin love shipleys and grew up eating kolaches. This specific location is mostly a miss. Kolaches are usually stale after 9 am and is it really that hard to crack a smile at the customers?!? :( I'm just happy to eat a dang kolache, you guys are the first people of my day. Heck! I won't stop coming bc I'm addicted and where I currently live, good ol west coast, ain't never heard of kolaches so I'm just complaining to let off some steam. If you wake up chipper, don't let the no smiles at this location taint your day. Keep on kolachin. read more

Be very careful when you order a cake donut. It might be one of six that they dropped on the floor when they dropped my box. They grabbed it off the floor, walked right by a trash can on their way to the back, and put the six donuts on a donut rack. The big earl lost a lot of its flavor as well, but it could have just been a bad one. But still...the donut on the door back on the rack.... read more

Bummed Saturday morning we hit this shipleys and there were no iced donut holes or any kind of Powerade/Gatorade type drinks. That's all we wanted! The drive thru line was insane too.. only one window. I undeed stand it's custom orders but I felt a menu outside in the drive thru and maybEE a second window would eliminate some of the wait process and move the line smoother. read more

Show up early and order a few hot glazed donuts. Shipley is a class Houston staple that has expanded across the south.

This Shipley's is really close to my job and always gives fast service! I've always gotten great service and attitudes from the staff. One time someone had a big order in the drive-thru and a man came outside with a pen and paper to take the cars behind him orders. That's GREAT customer service to me. So when I pulled up, my order was hot and ready for me! The parking lot is kind of crazy in the mornings since there's a lot of business around! But the drive thru goes really fast! No complaints here! read more

I try and be the nice guy at work and bring donuts on Friday. What better way than Shipley's. The drive thru is always jammed, but it seems to move quickly - I've always gone inside. They do donuts and they do them well and fast. I have had better kolaches, though the Demeris pulled pork + jalapeno one is awesome, but those are nearly a buck more than your generic kolaches. I love that whenever I get plain glazed donuts, they go to the back and get them and it's cool to see the employees in the back whipping up magic through the outside windows. I'm usually in and out in under 10 minutes - there are usually 4-5 people taking orders and three registers, so things move quickly. On top of that, everyone is happy, even at 7 in the morning. Be the nice guy at work and go here. read more

Fast service inside. I go there for donuts. Kolaches are ok but not great. Donuts are fresh most of the time

This place might be the worst drive thru restaurant I have ever been too! We are from California and took our family to get some donuts (have tried it twice) and when we pulled up the employee stares us blankly like he/she are completely at a loss as to why a car just pulled up lol no hello, how may I help you or anything! They don't have a menu, and they couldn't identify what they had and we asked how are we supposed to know what to order if they can't tell us what they sell lol the employees couldn't answer! We finally arrived at a simple 4 donut order, got back to our hotel and the order was all wrong!!!! Lol what a joke. Honestly dumbfounded how a place like this stays in business. read more

As I exit the store, I didn't see the 1 step down to get to my car. I fell and twisted my ankle really bad. I sat there for a while till a crowd of people saw me down and helped me up. One lady called for the manager (I think his name was Zack), he made a big bag of ice and let me sit in the lobby for a while to rest my ankle. Im ratting because it was the most humane thing anyone has ever done for me even though they were busy. Thank you to this location, ya'll have some caring people/manager here! read more

Drive thru wait is ALWAYS over 10 minutes. Also, my total was $2.94 in drive thru this morning. I gave the young lady $5.04, she looks at me and says, "it's 94", and I told her, "yes, $5.04". She says it again, and I repeated myself. She then hands me my change which was $2.06. I didn't want to argue over $0.04 because I was sitting in drive thru for over 10 minutes. I'll just continue to go to the McDonald's next door! read more

I started going back to this location, and what a difference! The Big Earls are back, and they're the best at any location I've had - they get the dough flakier than anyone else. And the kicker is that this location also has the best plain glazed donut I've had anywhere (The "big" Shipley's has more kolache's, but their glazed is denser than this location). And get there before 8am, and that glazed donut will be piping hot, but the nice thing about these are that they're excellent all the way to room temp. read more

Many mornings in my lifetime I've stepped into my 5 speed 95' Ford F-150, and hit the gas with only one goal in mind: satisfaction. There's a place where I know I can find satisfaction. Not just sometimes like my previous marriages, but all of the times. This place I'm speaking of is Shipley's Donuts. You can try anything from them because it is all incredible. But I suggest the devil's food, glazed, and chocolate iced. No matter what donut(s) you order make sure you get a kolache. I always go for the big earl to quench my big appetite. One bite and you'll be taken back to Warren Moon handing off to Earl Campbell in the Oilers backfield. Spoiler alert! It's dive right, Bruce Matthews opened up a whole wide enough for a semi, and Big Earl is taking this one to the house. Touchdown Houston! Just thinking out loud here but any chance we can fire Rick Smith and send Osweiller back to the liberals in Denver? Treat yourself to Shipley's this morning, tomorrow morning, and every morning for the rest of your life. read more

I was pretty bummed to be here early (6:30a) on a Monday to find out that they didn't have cinnamon twist - my must have at any Shipley's location. A bear claw is always offered in its stead, not quite the same but close enough. The bear claw is huge, and so was their glazed. I would have appreciated a warmed up glazed though but it was still fresh, though a tad too tough - overworked gluten? read more
