So after saying that, I didn't necessarily need service because I use a self service stations. They're very easy to navigate if you take your time reading directions. Their pickup truck wasn't even there yet and they totally could have accepted it, but they just wanted to make things difficult. Editing to add that we drove all the way to the other FedEx, only to learn they didn't have a printer, so they couldn't print our label. We then turn around and head back to this FedEx. When we arrive at 4:40, we see the truck being loaded up. We asked the driver if he would take the package and he agreed. Lots of wasted time over nothing.

It's been my experience that the nice guy is super nice and even remembers my face from visit to visit. He goes the distance when I come in with a mismatch bunch of unpackaged stuff and ask him to ship this here and that there. No complaints, just knocks it out with a smile, and most times, a funny joke or friendly observation. Anyway, he certainly keeps me coming back. I keep asking if/when they'll get/use NFC payments (e.g. Apple Pay), but that doesn't keep me away. I'm happy that they keep my info on file from visit to visit, good enough.
