It ended up taking about twenty minutes to arrive. Maybe there was a shift change or something behind the scenes, but for a quick recommendation, it missed the mark. Between the wait, the cost of the well whiskey coke, and the burger itself, it did not feel worth it. The burger was dry and overcooked, and just not very flavorful. I usually treat burgers as a baseline test for a menu, and this one did not impress. That said, I would come back to try other items. The wings looked solid, and the atmosphere is still a draw. We ordered three of the choices from the Devour menu. Of note: the breadsticks. Just stop me there. Garlic and bread cooked to perfection! The slaw: delicious! This serving was so large I couldn't even touch the pizza and had enough for a meal the next day! Dragon Wings: I don't eat much meat, so I didn't try them. My dining companion gave them a thumbs up! The food was perfect, we got Nashville Hot wings, it came with pickled carrots (which I think they should sell them by jars!!!) and cucumber. Some friends and I were on on the hunt for a business that we all haven't checked out yet, and ShinDig popped up on Yelp. What a fun surprise to see this addition to the Windsor Park neighborhood neighboring so many other great businesses like Boulder Mass and Digs Garden Center. We were warmly greeted by the hostess, and our waiter was friendly as well. I was impressed by the variety of salad offerings despite a lot of the other menu offerings being on the heavier side like wings, pizza, hardy appetizers. I thoroughly enjoyed my cauliflower wings served with carrots and cucumbers along with a salad. The salad was a little overdressed and salted for my taste, but I'll chalk that up to them getting in the groove with the new menu. The manager came over and visited our table to check in and see how things were going. He was very friendly and on top of things. The space is very kid-friendly, and features a large wraparound bar with big-screen TVs. Based on what I've heard from friends, it's a great place to take your kids. During my visit, we didn't have any kids along. So happy to see this new development in the neighborhood and can't wait to see them succeed. What a great place to have a solo "hot-girl dinner," as they say. You know: a meal at the bar, eating a little of this and a little of that, phone out and scrolling Reddit, sipping a glass of wine. Also, A+ to whoever makes decisions about the lighting. I visited during the nighttime for dinner, and I stepped into a restaurant with soft, cozy lighting, which immediately made me feel calm. I ordered the Caesar salad and a side of fries, with a glass of Cabernet. The Caesar was very good, with romaine lettuce, charred red cabbage, focaccia croutons, marinated tomatoes, parmesan and a fancy sunflower seed pesto swirl on the plate. It's definitely not a classic Caesar in any sense, but it was tasty and cold and crunchy, with just the right amount of dressing. My fries were my favorite part of my meal: beer battered and crunchy on the outside but mealy and warm on the inside. The menu said they were supposed to come with a jalapeno cheese dip, but mine were served with ketchup, which was perfectly fine by me. They have a full bar here, with lots of beers on tap, as well as cocktails, cocktail slushies and wine. The service is excellent. They just recently opened, as of this writing, so the manager came up to me to ask me how my food was and encouraged feedback. I told him what I'm telling you: Everything was excellent! I had been seeing Shindig highlighted from several food influencers I follow. A friend had sent it in a text this day and I decided to give it a try. It's conveniently located near my home so the commute was great. It's back behind North Mass Boulder for a nice low key spot. Parking was a tad frustrating only because I parked where k though the entry door was as a "great ass spot" to find out we had to walk towards south of the building as that's where the entry door was located. There was signage just did not see from my car when I initially parked. I had gone with a friend and we were enjoy trying new places so we were excited to try Shin Dig for some wings and pizza. We both quickly decided on the Dragon Wings which came with a PHENOMENAL roasted garlic ranch. They have a Szechuan chili oil, which if you didn't know contains a pepper that gives a numbing sensation. These wings STOLE the show for both of us. Rip it in the ranch and MY. GOODNESS!! The menu curators did they thang with that combo. They seemed to be smoked then maybe baked. Not sure however it was a nice crisp, I could have used a tingy bit more, and extremely flavorful. We then contemplated between creating our own pizza or an original. We landed on Bee Sneez. After you check the ingredients, yes. We enjoy spicy foods. Haha. The pizza was good however was not anything spectacular in our opinions. The crust was balanced. I would have appreciated my bacon slices being more spread out. The service was unfortunately not very welcoming. We had a young gentleman that served us and for this to still be a fairly new restaurant (less than 6 months) we were hardly greeted, not asked if this were our first time nor given some insight into the menu and or maybe items they might enjoy. My friend got an ipa and wasn't offered a glass. It just was t the most pleasant experience. Maybe it was because the bar was extremely busy but customer service is customer service. We hardly received the bare minimum. I had peeped that the manager had come out. I'm assuming maybe he wasn't floating f around check in on guests asking their experience etc because maybe he was assisting with orders. However, again this is a new restaurant (I've served and hosted before) and it's a pleasant feel when you are checked in on )again considering it's a new establishment. Shin Digs may be Indy's best kept secret. We stopped in after an appointment at IU, and it did not disappoint! This place is modern and trendy with an 80's retro vibe. The food was absolutely incredible! We ordered the butcher block pizza, the boneless wings with the Korean chili sauce (with a side of garlic ranch), the garlic parm breadsticks with marinara and an order of the beer battered French fries with jalapeño cheese sauce. Everything was AMAZING! It was more food than we could eat! The breadsticks were fresh and soft, the butcher block pizza was loaded and cooked to perfection, the fries were crisp and delicious, and the wings had the best wing sauce I've ever had! Food-wise I tried an assortment of plates. The best were the caesar salad (not pictured but it was GREAT) and garlic butter breadsticks. This place is new and cool- but you definitely have to know what you are in for. While this place may have a menu of pizza and wings, this is not a "pizza and wings" place. The pizza and wings are innovative and experimental, not classic, cheap and reliable. While I love this, this may not be the place to bring your grandpa or father-in-law looking for some cheap wings and beer as they watch the game. The wings, while amazing and expertly prepared, only come with 4-6 per order according to the waitress. You can build your own pizza if you are looking for a more traditional one, but the ones on the menu are so good! If you are feeling experimental, definitely give one a try. The cocktails were going rate nowadays (above $12) so we opted out of those, but the appetizer we tried (the slaw) we pretty good! It did come cold which i was not expecting but it worked still. I would highly recommend this place to anyone I know. My wife and I came in on a Friday night. We were greeted promptly at the host stand, and the two hosts working were very friendly. Seated quickly, and in a quieter part of the place. Server greeted us quickly, and had our drinks to us within minutes. My drink was strong, and wasn't lacking quality ingredients. We shared the breadsticks with the garlic ranch- would highly recommend to anyone coming here they get the breadsticks- some of the best sticks we've ever had. I also got a Caesar salad. Very cheesy. Only complaint about it was it was about 50% cabbage- the menu mentions cabbage, but didn't think it would be a large part of it. We got a russet pizza and a sweet onion one to share. Another great addition to Indy from the Cunningham Group! My husband and I came in on a Friday evening for dinner. As they just opened a few weeks ago, they weren't super busy. The space was nicely decorated and seemed like it will have a great outdoor appeal once summer! Service was great, with our waitress following up with us several times and was always on top of things. For food, we started with the garlic butter breadsticks and the garlic ranch. Dare I say, these are the best breadsticks in the city. They were so good, they probably don't even need a sauce, but the ranch is to DIE for. Next time I will definitely get a salad so I can have more of that, LOL. We got smalls in both the Russet and Sweet Onion pizza. Each had 6 slices so we had plenty to take home. The ingredients of the pizzas were high quality and tasty, but we were crazy about the combinations. Next time we will try a different pizza or make our own. This is a great spot. I met here with a group of friends and we met kind of late night. We had a couple of drinks. Some of us grabbed a little bit of food. It was great! It is a family friendly spot. Our server was fantastic! She was really on it! The only thing I was not excited about was the parking situation. I had no idea that the door was on the south side of the building and so I parked on the opposite side and walked in the blistering cold to the front door. So definitely recommend using the parking lot by the south entrance so that way you have a shorter commute, especially in these cold months. I made a reservation on open door which prove to be great because we were seated right away while others were waiting. The menu is primarily focused on pizza so that is what we ordered. We got the 20 inch sweet onion pizza. It was good, however I felt it was a little too sweet. The arugula gave a bit of balance to the sweetness. The real star, however, was the garlic ranch dipping sauce for the breadsticks!! 11/10!! The breadsticks themselves are dusted with tons of Parmesan, it fell all over the table as you picked each one up! The ranch sauce has dill in it, which gave it a super unique flavor, and it was so good!! I would return just for the breadsticks alone hands down. The pizza was good. I visited Shin dig on a weekday night and the third week of their opening. There were probably only four other diners at that time in the building. the facility is huge and I was able to walk through and check out some of the space and it was amazing and open and had an environment of welcoming and fun. The vibe that I got when I attended shindig was that of a family sports bar. there were board games but also a full bar and yard games that folks could play. The menu was more casual dining. There were options for pizza, wings, and salad. I opted for the Dragon Wings, Beer Battered Fries, and the Dig's Salad. The dragon wings were something I wasn't expecting. The wings were like "stretched" out. The pictures show this. They had a lot of flavor but maybe too much flavor. They had a dry rub that wasn't consistently coated on the chicken. The fries were iconic but CRG can never go wrong in the fry department. The Dig's salad was almost like a pizza salad. It didn't blow me away but it was pretty good. Overall pretty good experience and I will definitely be back to try some of the other wing options. This is a great place to go before a Pacers or Colts game. read more
