The customer services was horrible here. and i would suggest to others buying paint to do as i did & drive a block away and get your paint from sherwin williams. So it sort of doesn't matter what I say in this review. You'll go there when you need what they sell. It is distressingly common for reviewers to downrate a store because they once had bad service there. "I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 5 because this morning I had to wait 6 minutes to get my paint mixed." Sheesh, people. Look at the big picture. I live about 1 mile from this store, and I've probably been to it 50 times. I've never had any trouble getting someone to help me or answer a question, and if I did have trouble, I'd be patient, because the wait is faster by far than driving somewhere else or ordering it from Amazon. Great store. Great location. Great selection of merchandise and great use of their limited square footage. Denault's Ace Hardware is a treasure. I hope that it survives real estate growth and development.

Despite my extensive experience with similar products, this unit's design significantly deviates from industry standards. The primary frustration stemmed from the mounting bracket's incompatibility with standard residential electrical boxes, alongside the difficulty of housing the remote control and wiring. This necessitated unconventional and time-consuming modifications, including anchoring the fixture directly into a ceiling joist and purchasing a separate ceiling medallion to conceal exposed gaps. The need for longer machine screws further highlighted design flaws to conceal the wiring and brackets. This installation process for the Oaks Aura ceiling fan light fixture was arduous, demanding a level of improvisation, technical skill, and specialized tools well beyond what an average consumer possesses. As a registered Civil Engineer, I view this design as a potential safety and liability risk for homeowners. My review has not reflection on the other ceiling fan light fixture products that I have purchased that are sold at Lowe's but consequently, I cannot recommend this Oaks Aura products for general consumer purchase due to its complex and non-standard installation requirements. Lowe's needs to consider removing Oaks Aura product from its shelves.

There's nothing wrong with the paint crew itself: they are hard working and professional. Unfortunately, they are not properly informed by the owner who conveniently forgets to tell them to paint areas included in the estimates, even after collecting the money for the job. The problem is with the owner Frank who, either because of old age or because of too much partying, is neglectful, forgetful and scatter-brained, to the point where four times, I had to bring back the crew because Frank (and no one else) forgot to tell them to do a segment that was included in the contract. And so, I recorded our conversation and took pictures and films of the areas to do last summer only to...come back and find that Frank forgot once again to tell the crew to do a whole side of the house that was left unpainted. Frank called it "miscommunication" even after I showed evidence it was included in our agreement, and said "we'll do it for sure "next time". Problem is, I already paid for a job that was incomplete and, because of Frank's lack of professionalism and consistency, I decided there won't be a "next time", because I'm sure he'll forget again this time and blame it on too much wine or not enough sleep. And what's worse is the insistence to do what was supposed to be done another time when I decide to do another segment, and he'll "throw this last one in too". I now completely veer away from this company, will never use again, and totally advise against using by ANYONE as too many mistakes, too many recalls and too many times did he simply "forget" to tell his crew to do one or other side, or other segment, one or other fascia, one corner etc... I'd rather avoid the headache and the argument and go somewhere else, even though he still owes me for a corner that was included in the previous estimate and bill, that was paid for, but was never completed. I would definitely not recommend this company, end of story. Frank does however, get an A+ at being a BS artist and salesman, not so at being consistent and professional.

The staff is always very helpful and friendly. Sometimes it takes a bit to track someone down. They have everything you want and more. If they don't have it in stock, it can be shipped to your house or the store for no fee within a reasonable amount of time. Usually, everything is in stock when I need it. I've also used to shop online and free curbside pickup. It's hit or miss; either they bring it out quickly or they don't, and you have to call the store. Being a HD cc holder has its perks too. I am always getting discount coupons mailed to me or 0% financing offers. They come in handy when it's a large project.
