I had left a review about a month ago regarding this location. I would like to edit my comments or remove it but I have not been able to update it or remove it. The actual Store Manager was not the same guy I had been going to with the complaints about the behavior of the employees there and my dissatisfaction with them. I was told that he was this location's manager on numerous occasions and the other times that I asked for the manager John that I worked with when I first started my account with his store and he refused to acknowledge it and they would act like he was not in the store or no manager was at the store or he was not a even manager and he no longer worked with the company.
I have since been contacted by "THE" Store Manager: John Clancy. This location was convenient and that's what brought me back to this location but John is why I opened an account and stayed for as long as I did. He was definitely a seasoned pro in my industry and he was not like the managers at the Sherwin Williams in California I was accustomed to before I came to Texas. He set my account up and he refused to let me settle on the same thing I told him I had been using on my job sites for the past 10 years. The recommendations he gave me on the product line and the correct equipment were not just exactly what I had needed to maximize my profits and keep my contracts growing. He gave me the perfect formula for my customers to allow me to have that type of account numbers for the growth. My customer's confidence level in my company was definitely more than anything I could have ever asked for or hoped to have happened; especially with me relocating to a new area, and building that bridge of trust with my new clients. John was remarkable with "always" having the eye to mix the colors of my hardest to please customers and I have never had to even have a chip of the old paint to get him to do anything for me when it came to matching or colors my customers were requesting and they were not exactly sure what the colors was and I had no chips or anything else to bring to the store. As the years have past and I have not been coming to the store but I have been sending my guys to pick up the supplies for the jobs that they would need for the week or throughout the week they would need more supplies. I didn't forget about John Clancy and my humble beginnings here in Houston. He just help me to not need anything from him. He not only setup my account but he help setup my customers in an unfamiliar place with all the tips on the area, clients, supplies, etc...
I returned to his store this many years later when COVID-19 had begin to spread and I had lost a few good employees.
I want to publicly express my gratitude to Mr. Clancy and my sincere apologies for the past review of the store. I understand during times like this we do the best we can with the employees we are able to keep and the ones we are able to get to work through times like these. Thank you for taking your time to reach out via Yelp! expressing your feelings about the things that I had observed in your store and the willingness to always do whatever to make it right, fix the problem and the care that you have for your customers. John this is obviously not a job or a pay check -- you have true passion and concern for all of us and that you can not find anymore. Please don't let corporate send you employees that are not willing to be trained. Refuse them and train employees to be like you -- to care about that store as as if it were their own. Much Respect, Sir. read more
