Paid over $50 for a primer that was basically useless for our application, but I guess I could use it next time I want to paint over tile, which will be never.

This is probably my third store that I have went into from Sherwin-Williams. It ended being my…read morefavorite almost immediately. First, parking is plentiful. You will no doubt get a parking space and likely away from other people. It isn't packed at all. It is in a smaller town of Damascus, which adds to the fact that there is so much parking available. Next, the store is fairly clean. It was relatively well stocked and I was able to walk around and find things quickly. They had COVID precautions everywhere. The guards at the register, everyone with face masks, and stickers for social distancing. My one criticism is that the color wall is rather small here and with the 6 feet social distancing, it was hard to actually see the wall when someone was just chilling on the side checking their phone while waiting for others. Oh well, life isn't perfect. The staff was very knowledgeable about the products compared to the other stores that I have been to. I felt like my questions were answered well. I only had minor questions about drywall and paint adhesion, but the person in front of my had more complex questions regarding paint for a door. It was a Sunday so the staff was alone, but he worked hard to get to everyone quickly - even jogging from the register to the paint mixing station. Really hustled to get to people as quickly as they can. Between Sherwin-Williams and other paint brands, I think it really depends on the color and shading of the product that you want. If the walls are prepped well and the selection of product matches your project, then it will look great. Not all the products are great and the better ones tend to cost more. But, in my case, I was able to finish my product without any issues - well I needed a ladder for the stairwell and that took another trip, but that is another story for another day.

It was easy for me to figure out because I was persistent in my own. I suggest if you all figure it out that it could be a good trick to not lose business possibly. I was shaking my head at the store. Should be an easy lookup right there. I did use the SW app once I had the hex to help. Yes your policy is you don't match colors as a guarantee. But really this works and I do know it's not a guarantee. It is just maybe a helpful trick you're missing. Instead of asking me to visually compare a hundred paint chips on the wall for 30 minutes.

While we didn't end up getting wallpaper from them this time, we will definitely be back for any of our future painting or wallpapering needs. They were so pleasant and helpful!

By no means am I an expert in paints. I've done my due diligence and asked many contractors on…read moretheir opinions on the best brands of paint and 2 brands consistently came up. The first is Sherwin-Williams and the second is Benjamin Moore. While I entertained Home Depot and Lowe's as sources to get home renovation material, I absolutely decided against going that direction after I found out that many products they sell are "builder-grade quality". While that may sound like a fancy term, it is not. Home Depot and Lowe's gets lower quality products in many different categories (e.g., wooden floors, tiles, etc.). I've gotten a very good lesson from a trusted contractor who carefully explained and showed me the differences between the quality of such products sold at Home Depot and Lowe's so I was dead-set on going to Sherwin-Williams to purchase the best paint I could buy. I've been extremely impressed with Sherwin Williams corporate and the staff in store (Clayton and his manager). As you may guess, a wall full of 300+ paint color options makes it extremely difficult for a consumer to choose the right paint in 1 visit. Clayton and his manager guided us through with options and recommendations, which include showing us their mobile app to see the paint color in full decorated settings on the Sherwin Williams website. Clayton guided us through several options (and with a lot of patience) and in the end I was not able to decide what color I wanted. Surprisingly enough, you don't have to commit to a color during your purchase of the paint. You buy a base white paint which then gets tinted. Thanks to Clayton, I was able to take advantage of their 30% sale (last day of the year and it's biannual). I'm really thankful to him for this recommendation. Overall, I've been extremely satisfied at the level of knowledge and customer service at Sherwin Williams. I highly recommend going directly to this store instead of Home Depot/Lowe's. The amount of knowledge (especially if you are experienced) and attention you get is totally worth the visit.

This is a mixed review. I bought a small propane grill for my dad in January. It was a Megamaster 2…read moreburner grill, basic model. We opted for assembling ourselves and it was very difficult to put together. I have been assembling various grills over the years but never experinced something so difficult. When it came time to start it it wouldn't light. We tried various things and nothing. Tried to get product help no joy, AI or just generic internet questions and answers. Finally got it to light off with a match and then on its own but something was wrong. It just didn't develop heat. After a month I decided to buy another one and return the one we had bought. I asked for it to be assembled. No problems. Get a notification on Monday it was ready. Go in Monday and it was not assembled. The assembler only comes in on Thursdays. Wish they had told me. They said they had the wrong phone number but it was right on my account. Anyways I didn't want to go through the pain of putting it together so I said fine, I will get it Thursday or Friday. I call Wednesday, very hard to get anyone in the store, kept kicking me to AI and then to a person in a call center. After several attempts the call center got me to the store. The woman there explained that it would be assembled by close of business Thursday. I got a message today (Friday) that the grill was ready. I drove up only to find out it wasn't assembled. The guy took the week off and wouldn't be back until next Wednesday. I was fuming by this point. I kept apologizing to the people at customer service because it wasn't there fault but I was mad. I finally said screw it give me my money back. I then went to Lowe's and picked up a Charbroil 4 burner grill already assembled for $130 more then I paid for the Megamaster. But I knew Charbroil was a good quality grill since I have owned two over 18 years. It lit right up and was at 500F in under 10 minutes. Right choice. I took the first Megamaster back to Home Depot and the promptly refunded my purchase. I want to say the miscommunication was bad. The product was low quality and I would recommend spending the extra funds on a Charbroil or other quality grill. You get what you pay for. Finally I have to credit the Germantown Home Depot Employees I dealt with. Everyone of them was courteous, kind and professional. They tried the best they could but the system failed them. At least Home Depot can be proud they represent them. They do have to figure out a better way of communication when a service was involved. Had I known it would take four days to get the grill put together I would not have bought one unassembled.
