This hardware store is a gem! The team is knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to help. I have had great experiences with phone inquiries, as well as in-store questions/purchases. Rob and George are especially helpful and "know their stuff". There is a very pleasant young woman there; but I don't recall her name; she even offered up an in-store coupon of which I had been unaware and applied it to my purchase! This hardware store opened in 2016, and appears to be doing well. They are adequately staffed with helpful and knowledgeable employees. They have just about everything you need for your household projects. They offer free delivery of supplies, if you need it. I was going to the Brunswick, MD store quite often instead of going to one of the larger retailers in the area but think I am going to change that. I bought a mower and decided one day later that I wanted to find something different. Return policy seemed clear to me (30 days with receipt - printed on the receipt) but the store manager seemed to have a different set of policies. So I now have a $379 back up push mower and didn't make a fuss. Mind you this mower was not used but I had assembled it and cleaned it because it sat in front of the store for the entire summer. This store does not honor its own advertised return policies so make sure what you buy is what you want! read more

This morning I stopped at the Brunswick Ace hardware store and I could not have been more disappointed or surprised by how I was treated. Its been great having a hardware store in the community. I have frequented it often and, until now, have thought highly of their customer service. All that changed this morning. **My advice to others is to avoid this store at all costs.** Let me briefly share my experience and justification. Today I stopped in to return two items and to make several purchases. Upon entering I gave my returns to the woman working the counter and she commented that it had been over thirty days since I had purchased them and that that she would have to get approval from the manager. After locating my new purchases and on the way to the cashier, I encountered the manager. He was standing gabbing with several other associates. I took the opportunity to ask him if there were any concerns with my returns as the boxes had not been opened, I had the original receipt and the items were even in the Ace bag that I had purchased them in. His response was that it was over thirty days and that I was out of luck. He added that their system didn't allow for him to accommodate me. I suggested the possibility of a store credit. He droned on about the system and my messing up the stores accounting... In my shock and disbelief I asked him if it was worth them losing a customer over. Receiving a blank stare, I placed my new purchases on a nearby table and left the store. Evidently this was not enough for the manager as he chased me, following me uncomfortably close, the whole way to the exit. As I crossed the parking lot I could hear him shouting, "and don't you ever come back here again". I took this as a threat and assume that he screamed it to humiliate me and amuse the other associates. I left humiliated as he kept the $30.00+ of items that I had attempted to return. With the Brunswick Coop and Tractor Supply so close and the Home Depot and Lowes a short drive further, save yourself the money and the aggravation and patronize them. I have never had this return problem, let alone, this treatment elsewhere. read more

Called on phone to price and check availability on a $500 chain saw. After 15 mins hold and 4 people coming to phone the owner came on the phone. He was the rudest, unproffesional jerk ive come across in a while. He said "were busy and we will get to you when we get to you". I said im a customer on the phone why am i i not handled with courtesy as if i was in the store, he said if your not in the store your not a customer. Then he said im sick of all "you people" and could care aless what corporate thinks. He said his name was Keith. Hope he sells this buisness who deserves to have it and will treat customera with respect! read more

Sometimes very helpful and sometimes abysmal assistance. key problem is that the owner hires young kids who have never done any of the work that they are trying to help with.and then asking for help from the managers and owner only results and groupthink where they automatically think their employees are correct.wall overall friendly and surprisingly with the right materials when it goes south with these people it is fully South. So a little bit of a truck take the time to drive to Home Depot or Lowe's... It'll be worth your time and cost you a lot less overall. read more

Awesome, I have hardly made any trips to Home Depot since they opened because they have had everything I've needed, furnace filters, Stihl parts, huge nut and bolt section, paint, you name it. What they didn't have it was easy to order, super helpful and friendly staff. read more
