3-1/2 stars is 3 stars too many for this business, perhaps more. Literally walked in, knew exactly what I wanted, grabbed it, went to the register... and stood there for more than 5 minutes ... not quite 10, but way more than acceptable to not even be acknowledged from the moment I walked into the store to when I was ready to pay for my supplies. Whatever the lone employee in the store was doing in the back office for another customer was important work, I'm sure. But the service was pathetic. Never coming back here, and I literally live a block away. I would give a 0-1/2 star review if possible. read more

Safe to say I won't be shopping at this location. I stopped by looking for a specific black paint (Tricorn Black) on a Saturday afternoon. I browsed around for about a minute looking for the paint and a sales associate. There was no one in site to assist me with locating and purchasing the paint. Keep in mind this store isn't big! As I walked further into the store we see a man sitting behind a glass just staring at us. He doesn't ask can I help you or are you looking for anything in particular let alone a simple greeting. I'm not sure about anyone else but if I have to help myself at any business especially when I need assistance that's clearly a business I rather not give my money too. Lowe's is a huge store and it's easier to get assistance there then it was at this small establishment. read more

Stopped in this new S-W location nearby to check out some paint chips and ultimately select something for our kitchen & hallway, and left quite impressed. The staff--Kevin & Noah--were both incredibly helpful. The not only helped us pick out colors/best paint type, they were able to scan and match a chip we peeled off of a door frame (per their suggestion at our first visit) for touch-up painting, which saved us a lot of time and hassle. Service was friendly and truly hard to beat. Location itself is a nice place to shop--new and immaculate. They even have a Keurig station for free coffee/tea (and a nice water cooler) for while you wait, which I certainly availed myself of as they were mixing up our paint. One thing to keep in mind is that I thought it seemed a smidge pricier than other larger/chain/paint shops (of course, it's been a while since we painted, so perhaps that's just normal now). However, I did catch a sale, and the shopping experience and convenient, local location made any small, extra expense well worth it to me. read more

Was working on a project involving the occupants of a room being sensitive to VOC's. Searching around the website lead me to the ProMar 400 zero VOC product line. I called the local store and Matt was super helpful in lining up the product in the color. When I arrived at the store the place was very clean and the product shelves seemed fully stocked. Seems like a good spot for last minute pick-ups or spur of the moment repaints. Matt and his team were super helpful and made good use of my time getting me out the door in what-felt-like less than 10mins. They threw in a free stirring stick too! read more

Almost comically bad service. The sales associate did a very good job of conveying just how disinterested he was. On the plus side, he did (if rather grudgingly) answer my questions. However, it would have been nice if, instead of selling me a sample of paint, he'd pointed out that I could simply pick up a free swatch (which I did on the way out, which was when I noticed them). My favorite part of the interaction was when, the sale complete, I thanked him and he just stared at me. I grew up in New York and am used to lackadaisical and dismissive sales clerks but this interaction set a new low. Perhaps the management can ask him to take mercy on the customers. read more

Had a great time in here today and yesterday. I came in with a scrap of paint smaller than a corn flake and Harry helped me get a match! He talked me through the options and was patient and professional. I'm big on customer service, I don't need to be pampered but I love getting the help I need especially when I have so little experience. I wound up coming back to get pretty much everything I need to paint my entire bedroom. Thank you Harry for your help and support. read more

This place has pretty awful service. I was sent here by a Marvin Windows installer to colour match the paint colour on my windows that is a Marvin colour. I actually brought in the picture of the paint Tin and the details of the colour from the printed sticker on the tin that I already had (it was a Sherwin custom colour). The guy seemed confused as to what to do - ok no problem. But then while he was helping me, he took an order over the phone and then also asked people who weren't even ready if they needed help! Like what on earth?! Sorry my 5 gallon order wasn't worthy of decent service! I walked out because what is the point? Ooffphhh! read more

Worst Sherwin Williams in the boroughs. call to place an lrder and the guy says "I wont remember what you order im busy, just come in the shop" and so I do that and the doors are locked and lights are off at 12:20 on a Saturday. Guy is on lunch and closes up shop lol. Waste of time and will not be back. read more

I am a professional painting contractor that has worked in the NYC metropolitan region for close to 40 years. On the east coast Sherwin Williams is relatively the new kid on the block. Most of the time my clients request Benjamin Moore but every once in awhile a client asked for Sherwin Williams. I have been to this store twice. Both within a 5 year time span, working at different times for the same client who wanted Sherwin Williams. In both incidents I dealt with different people. Most recently, I received paint that was not mixed properly. In an earlier case, I was advised to use a type of acrylic " heat resistant" paint for riser pipes. I had never used anything but oil based paint but Iassumed the agent knew what he was talking about, so I gave it a go. The pipes ended up bubbling and cracking off right away once the heat was turned on. I was called back to sand, prime and redo them with an oil based paint to make things right. Both my dealings with Sherwin Williams ended up costing me time and money . A competent paint company needs to rely on consistency of product, efficiency in service and professional knowledge by the employees of their products.. None of those things are found in this store. read more

Glad they moved to Park Slope. They have everything you need, from prep to finish, at the location. Unlike any construction box store, employees actually know and can advise on materials they sell. Well informed across all types of products, provide spec sheets, and friendly. Have sent many clients there for color swatches and they are always happy visiting store. read more
