I'm having my space painted by a professional, so I didn't need supplies other than the paint, but it looked like they had a good selection of brushes, tarps, painters tape, etc. We ended up paying less than the price listed on the signage both because the signage was wrong and we found a 30% off coupon online. So check for those! There's ample parking and the store wasn't busy even on a Saturday afternoon. Cons: Their paint selection is pretty limited compared to the big box stores, so finding that perfect shade of whatever color you're after is a bit trickier. The only time we talked to a member of staff was when we went up to pay. Even then we had to wait for several minutes for someone to come out of the back of the store. We were never greeted or offered help even though that person had previously been at the counter and there were only 4-5 people in the store at any given moment. That said, once we were at the counter and a member of staff was also at the counter again they offered us advice on the kinds of paint and amounts we'd need for various rooms. COVID: There was about 50% mask compliance (lots of people seem confused about whether they breathe out of their noses, and one dude just kept pulling his down so he could talk as he edged closer and closer to me). I know it's an impossible task for staff to do their jobs and monitor customers, but there wasn't so much as a friendly "hey can you pull up your mask please?" comment from the staff when the couple who clearly don't believe in masks were in front of the staff person. It was honestly the worst part about the store and a reason I personally wouldn't go back.

One of us stayed outside with the dog, and when the owner noticed, he insisted we bring our dog inside to browse with us. They will give you little 2oz samples of any paint color you want. I've since found that most Benjamin Moore places only offer a small selection pre-mixed in these sample sizes. Also, they carry Aura paint which, while expensive at $55+ a gallon, is well worth the price because you usually only need one coat of it to cover the wall. We've averaged about 50%-100% more coverage than regular paint with it and the extra quality and pigmentation make the paint seem to almost change while you are looking at it from different angles. Also, it's washable in any sheen and dries very quickly with very little of the common obnoxious odor associated with most paints. Please support this very cool local shop, they'll treat you right and they deserve your business.

He has often informed me of new products and sundries available that I wasn't aware of. The store is clean and welcoming, and his assistant, Heather, is great too. Forrest almost always has his dog with him at the store, she's a friendly rescued Greyhound. I have never had a bad paint mix from them (I am a regular customer) And it's a lifesaver for me that they carry samples in just about all of the Ben Moore colors. Some places that carry Ben Moore only have the limited palette of factory produced sample sizes, but Forest supplements those with the remaining colors. It's such a great feature.
