This is my neighborhood store. I'm an off the beaten path hardware store fan. Back in California, there's one that I love to visit. Its on the way to our every two weekend backpacking trip. If we can't stop it actually made me a bit sad. But I digress. Although tiny hardware stores are packed with goodies to peruse. I love! This one in my neighborhood is not tiny. If I'm not mistaken this is their flag ship store. We're in and out here most weeks. So fast forward to a Pandemic Life. Aside from backpacking, in house dining etc that was taken away from us there is a different animal that sorta replaced things that were taken away. Boredom. Not me. I'm resourceful. It's Adam. He's my person. He's an essential worker. But it's not enough. Hiking locally is not enough. So he finds fault with our house. Unfortunately for him it's new! So what he's left with is enhancing what's there. So we're in and out of this location with a myriad or purchases. A new and improved Traeger, our old one died. Although I suspect someone killed that grill . A Yeti ice box. Oh yeah expensive light bulbs that will work with the Apple ecosystem. New and improved big and bright ass lights. Tools. And me? Seeds and garden stuff. And I'm no Saint. I shop online. But that's a different story/review. The folks here are super helpful. Very accommodating. And they never rush you. They allowed us to exchange a product that otherwise we would've been stuck with it and it was expensive. Their delivery service is great! On time and it feels like your friends are just moving your things for you. I've been back just recently. I have to tell you guys all my garden stuff this year is from them. Btw they have tons of grill stuff. All the Yeti products. I love the accessories that yet offer for their giant tumbler. They have all the products here! Oh btw- are you a fan of the online store called The Grommet? It's like "As seen on TV" with a different focus. They have a little corner here. When you walk in-make a left into the aisle and there it is to your left! The one on one attention here is priceless. There might be more products somewhere else but here I don't have to walk around looking for help.

Most of them were traditional (even COLONIAL) style which... aren't we done with that yet?!?! 250 years later? Anyway, I kept googling and binging and was not able to find a local showroom for plumbing supplies and fixtures. The searches were filled with ads for places in New Jersey or Wisconsin. Finally, I found Ultra Design Center buried on page 2 or 3 on my fifth attempt. I visited them immediately and am so glad I did. They offer a range of european and some american offerings that cost a little more than Lowe's, but with a huge selection, and cleaner, smarter designs. Stuff that Lowe's might carry in 5-10 years. The prices are 20% higher, but well worth it imo, because most of the choices from the big box stores were made in china. Their showroom is beautifully curated and showcases an incredible range of lighting, hardware, and plumbing fixtures. Everything from stunning kitchen faucets and sinks to bath fixtures, shower systems, and some of the most gorgeous decorative hardware. They also offer wellness products like saunas and steam, all under one roof. I incorporated several of Ultra's light fixtures into a showroom I recently designed, and they were absolute standouts. The quality, aesthetic, and pricing are exceptional, and having the ability to see so many of their products installed throughout the IDC building gives designers such a helpful "real-world" perspective. Beyond the product selection, the team is knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely hands-on. Whether in the showroom or the warehouse, every experience has been organized, attentive, and incredibly supportive. I highly recommend Ultra Design Center to anyone working in the design or construction space!
