With fingers crossed I headed back to the store hoping they could fix my mistake. Fortunately for me, the salesman (Devon?) was not only able to lighten the color but did so in a couple of increments so that I was sure of the color and at no extra charge. This is the second or third time I've had to run to BM in as many days for supplies. Each time I've been treated with respect and kindness which, given that I'm an old lady, I especially appreciate. I highly recommend this place. Great product but above all wonderful people.

I went in the other day for a repeat purchase but there was a problem with the mixing machine. I stopped by again today. The store was busy and the man looked to see if he could make my paint. He could not but told me where the closest other Benjamin Moore store was located with good directions and printed off the mix formula for me to hand them. I wasn't treated like a stupid lady and he was very helpful. You don't get that at Home Depot - in fact you get the opposite. HD employees don't make eye contact with you so you don't stop and ask them anything.

I've been coming here for many years, even before it was owned by the original "Jerry". I know…read morethat the paint that they carry is quite expensive, but I can't understand why their machine rentals are higher than everyone else also. Is there really a huge difference in the quality of the paint? The people who work here have always been helpful and they also sell top quality paint tools and supplies. They also sell wallpaper and walk coverings, which you will be hard pressed to find anywhere else. The other downside is the fact that they are closed on Sundays. They are conveniently located which is a good thing.

I've been dealing with this store for about twenty years and my experiences with them have never…read morebeen less than excellent. Their staff are not only friendly and efficient but also extremely well-informed about their merchandise and willing to give advice; this is important to me because I have the mechanical aptitude of a mildly retarded gerbil. I've gotten the same attention whether I was buying two screws or a new Weber grill, and no one has ever tried to upsell me. My most recent experience was buying, yes, a new Weber grill from Jim Carmalt. He was exceptionally knowledgeable about every aspect of their stock and how best to use it. It was almost like talking to an old friend who had my best interest as a high priority. I thin of Village Hardware as sort of the anti-Home Depot/Loew's, I get personal service of a high order and always leave confident that I have a high-quality product and even higher quality advice. This is retail as it should be.

Painting Outside of House…read more A huge thank you to Tech Painting Co. for the painting & wood repair work done on the outside of my house. Jamil Herbas was very thorough documenting the work to be done and communicating that to the Painters. The team were all very professional, courteous and respectful of my home. My property is not easy due to steep walls and no flat ground. They were amazing and also safety conscious. Very satisfied. Price for the job was appropriate. Thanks to Ulises who managed the team on site and communicated schedule changes required due to rain. Highly recommend this company.

First - We had a few date discussions but selection could not be made until after deposit was paid. Once deposit was given, I asked for one date change, with a week notice, which we went back and forth on due to them not working Fridays. Second - No where in the estimate or any other communication, written or verbal, did they convey any admin fees other than actual paint related. Third - As I was moving into a new home from out of state, the painting date had to be moved to accommodate furniture placement. This was only done with their consent (one time) and at the time of request, I told them any day a particular week would work. They confirmed the change to 14 Sept. However, approximately a week and half later, as we approached the date, I received a confirmation for 15 Sept. I immediately reached out and said the date was 14. Ms. Jathiya responded that yes but since I stated any day that week (over a week ago) they took the liberty of changing the date. I explained that a lot has happened since you confirmed the 14th with work so I couldn't accommodate the 15th due to me planning meetings around the 14th. With COVID, work schedules have been crazy and trying to coordinate availability for multiple peers is difficult so to move a few days before wasn't possible. Anyway I asked for a deposit ($750) refund so that I could find someone else to paint. They agreed. Nearly three weeks later I didn't see the credit on my Amex. I reached out and Jathiya stated she'll get right on it. Well she sends me a receipt and it's for $700! I'm like what the heck. I call and she proceeds to tell me there are admin fees. I replied that you can't charge fees that the customer didn't know about nor agree to. Additionally you changed the date. She replied that the date was changed a few times, I said once, that was agreed to by both parties. She kept talking and I was done. I'm disputing this madness. After receipt of copies of the written estimate and email conversation, Amex refunded the full amount of $750. BEWARE OF THESE FOLKS!!!!!!
