As far as the Sherwin Williams brand of paint, I have had good luck with the quality of paint they sell. It seems to spray and roll on well without a lot of splatter. I like the consistency of their paint and the ease of use. If you set up an account with them, you can save quite a bit of money per gallon. It qualifies you for discounts and specials throughout the year. I am not a professional painter. I only paint around my house if we are remodeling a room or I'm doing touch-up. I still find it worth it to have the account. For example, I recently had to buy a gallon of paint to match the exterior of my house. The employee at the Dickinson location help me set up my account. I immediately qualified for $15 off that gallon of paint. I had to buy a 2nd gallon the next day and got another $15 off. It's really no different than setting up a grocery store account. If you have the account, you get the discount. If not, you don't. The only reason I give them three stars (vs four) is because they do not have the paint codes I need for my house. The home that I live in was built by Cervelle. Although this location is the closest to our neighborhood, they do not have all of the paint codes that Cervelle uses. The Dixie Farm Rd/FM 1959 location does have all of the codes (which is further away with a lot of traffic between the two stores). From a customer service point of view, it would make sense to me for someone at the Dickinson location to take a few minutes and get all of the custom paint codes from the Dixie Farm Rd/FM 1959 location to keep on hand for customers who live in Cervelle Homes. If they do have them on hand, they need to inform all of their employees that they have them to avoid having other potential Cervelle customers make the drive up to Dixie Farm Rd to buy their paint. Bottom line - Good quality paint but lacking when it comes to the exact paint code I needed to match my home.

I told Jonathon I would like to pay for the order as someone else was picking up the paint. He said I could not do that. I asked him to clarify what he was saying. He was clearly annoyed and inconvenienced and said we can't just take orders and have paint just sitting around waiting to be picked up. I told this rude company representative to cancel the order. I went into the Seabrook store for the first time with my sample taken from a hole in the wall, and got what was supposed to be matching paint. It was horrible. Paint was yellow instead of tan and does not match at all. I waited for it to dry to make sure it would not turn color and actually match, but it got worse. The girl making the paint did not even bother to make a sample, dry it, and compare it to my original sample, which is what was done at all the other stores. Worst customer service ever. It is worth driving to another store and staying away from this one.

Sam is AMAZING! The SW paint applied by my home builder was much more beige than I had anticipated…read more& it was driving me nuts for 3 years. I was paralyzed & unable to decorate because the beige was throughout the entire home & did not fit my modern/minimalist aesthetic. I tried Home Depot first & brought home 4 paint samples of whites - all too yellow. So I decided to go to Sherwin Williams hoping they'd be able to steer me in the right direction. They suggested whites, but the 2 samples they provided still weren't right. I went back again trying to figure out a fix & wound up even more lost. I figured Benjamin Moore was my last stop before I completely gave up. I explained my dilemma Sam who was more than eager to steer me in the right direction. He asked what my ideal white was & what my goal was. He suggested chantilly lace then printed out the color composition of 3 whites I was considering. He showed me that chantilly lace had only a hint of grey that resulted in a clean, pure white. I decided I would use that in flat & satin throughout the home for walls & trim. I shared my concern about my kitchen cabinet appearing off white & Sam traded out the trim choice for another bucket of paint I could apply to trim/doors/cabinetry. I then shared the use I was considering painting my window frames black & my bathroom vanity black. Sam pulls out another paint that I can apply to vinyl frames & bathroom cabinets. He even printed out & went over the manufacturer data sheets & showed me that Benjamin recommends this paint for this goal. I felt like Sam took the time to understand exactly what I wanted & tried to make the project as easy & cohesive as possible. He even stayed open late TWO days in a row to ensure I had what I needed & he seemed more than happy to do so. I now refuse to purchase my paint supplies anywhere else. If you're unhappy with anything in your house that can be painted - GO SEE SAM! I only wish I'd consulted with him 3 years ago. I am now off to begin painting 3100 sq feet of Benjamin moore chantilly lace!

I pointed at 15lb tanks on the wall behind her to let her know of size. She asked the manager, Robert, but he said they need to fill first. The change in policy is no longer convenient. If I have to go into the store multiple times to just have a propane tank refilled, then I will take my business elsewhere. Everywhere else you pay first and they refill and then you are on your way. Lowe's, Academy and other sites are now more convenient. I would go by to help out the local hardware but now I will just go to the big chain stores since this policy has changed.
