I made no less than 5 attempts to return defective flooring --never receiving a promised return call after 5 separate attempts to 5 different customer service agents.I finally contacted my credit card to which Mary S from Atlanta responded falsely claiming I refused to schedule a return of the product when no agent ever followed up to complete the process. They offer a catch 22 return policy more strict than Lowe's or Hone depot which implies that they are less substantial and more fly by night -- Just check Reddit to learn that my concerns are not singular. When dealing with low Quality Controlled American mfgs like Nucor providing defective product which only shows up after installation or ripping apart the packaging --they leave the consumer holding the bag by refusing to accept any installed product or opened boxes. A veritable catch 22 with a dishonest fabrication of lies by representatives in Atlanta in order to skate by the credit card company protection of consumers They employ a pump and dump strategy after purchasing massive amount of product and work overtime to deflect any attempt at remedy or refund. read more

My update to Floor and Decor I was helped by Steven, Jill and Jesus. Billy B was not at work on this visit. Steven helped me with the shower tile and helping to pick out the grout was easy once he showed me what I was looking for. Steven made sure that what he did not have in stock at his store the other store had. I asked what chemical are recommed to clean this tile with he said Dawn dish soap with the duck on it. I was shocked to hear that. He said that you dont want to mess up the tile and make it weak with harsh chemical. He experience was magnificent as we moved on to more questions Jill came in along to offer even more assistance to myself. We ended up in the floor tile. Jill and Steven talked to me about the difference in the 2 pieces of tile I had looked at with Billy. Jill is soft spoken well experience as well. The best part is that they answer my questions before I asked that made it much better. The tile I was looking at can be cleaned with pine sol. Shocked again. The best part was they stayed by my side until I was done. They walked me to helped with my purchase Jesus was the cashier. He worked the keys really well. Worst location. Manager is incompetent and made us wait at the store two hours because they did not believe I was an authorized user on the card although I had my social my ID and the card in my name. On top of that I asked them about the weight of my order just for them to say they did not know it. Then the boy loading my truck got irrationally angry at me and started yelling saying I should know how much my truck can carry. It was a rented truck and they never gave me the weight so not sure how he expected me to know. Go to any other location. This location will waste your time and the workers are very rude. read more

I ordered a whole bunch of shower floor tile when I called Natalia said that they only had 16 pieces so I was going to have to reconfigure my entire design. As to my arrival she informed me that she went in the back and searched and searched so she could find me the additional four pieces. I have made two trips into Floor and Decor in the last week, and I was helped by wonderful employees both times. Firstly, Ronnie, in the flooring department was amazing. I wandered around the flooring department for an hour trying to find something I liked. Multiple employees asked if I needed help, but Ronnie truly walked me though a couple of options and gave me plenty of information to help me make my final choice. Secondly, the store manager Matt was INCREDIBLY helpful both times I was in. He helped me as I was leaving the first time, and then remembered me when I went in the second time, and asked for directions around the store. As we'd bump into him through out our shopping trip, he checked in, asked if we were finding everything, and even walked us in the back to look at a countertop. Matt truly went above and beyond. Everyone I interacted with at the store was very kind and helpful. There was only one person in the decorator department that seemed to be having a bad day when we went in, but everyone else outshined that interaction. There's a ton to choose from, and the prices are very reasonable. It's totally worth a trip up there if you want more choices than ho hum Home Depot. read more

When you're renovating a house one of the best upgrades you can make is to the bathroom. This is one of the places you can go over the top and draw lots of attention to your property. I was in the need to change up my shower, and I wanted a mix of marble and natural stone for the set up. Places like home depot/lowes will charge you an arm and a leg for good quality tile, while you can find something comparable if not better here. A lot of the items at Floor & Decor are closeout items, so you might not be able to get anymore, but the prices are 50%+ off. So just buy yourself a couple extra boxes to make sure you have enough for the project, but it will still be cheaper than going with the stock that one of the traditional stores might have. Kyle was really helpful in putting a few different tiles together with grout to match everything. He made it easy for me by walking around this huge store. I was so impressed by the staff that at the end of my shopping experience, I requested a Manager at Checkout. Floor & Decor does not stand by the product they sell. The hydroshield laminate that they sale is trash. Does hold up as the warranty reads as to the length of time Water can be on on the floor before the product is damaged The store tried to give the warranty a whole different meaning which was totally different as what's on the box. I reached out to headquarters, they responded to me as to filing out the claim but never contacted me directly back with a response. I had to go into store and speak with a member of management who wasn't helpful. I'll never shop there again. read more

So listen I agree with some of the reviews here that the customer service inside is lacking but with that being said I have had a great experience recently while shopping, his name was Deltron and he was extremely busy but spent as much personal time with us that he could and was a great help and very courteous. Now post Hurricane Harvey this store has been off the charts busy every time I have been in but that is to be expected. I showed up today to pick up my order and although I had to wait a total of almost 4 hours, these employees working in the back are AMAZING! I have watched them listen to multiple complainers this morning about the wait or he got here after me or get me a manager because I'm more important than everyone else blah blah blah but not only have they been nice to the a**holes, they were still nice to the person standing behind them in line. My husband and I went to floor and decor off of alameda and went to the decorative tile. We were almost immediately greeted by Sheila and she asked if we needed help. Me knowing this was going to be an "adventure" bc my husband and I literally never agree on anything I said no we were just looking to remodel our bathroom.. even after I said no to her offer of helping us.. she gave us her suggestions on where we should start.. so off we went to the flooring section.. we were met by a very kind and helpful man named Jeff (he was knowledgeable and friendly and he talked to us about options of flooring we should use in a bathroom.. so we found one we liked and he walked us to the decorative tile where we ran into Sheila again and she offered to help us again if we needed it.. then she showed us what she thought would be a good choice for what we were doing. Long story short Sheila helped us with every decision we made.. which was probably the best thing because a miracle happened and my husband and I actually agreed and found EVERYTHING we needed for our bathroom remodel! It can be a pain finding ANYONE to help at Big Box Stores like Home Depot (hate it), Loew's (won't go), and Floor and Decor - but the Floor and Decor Store across from Almeda Mall in Houston is the exception to what is universally true when it comes to actual help. TIP: All you have to do is go to a cashier like Barbara and ask for a design expert to help you with your remodeling ideas.
