Looking for dependable people to not only essentially give access to your home but do a job you are happy with for the money you are paying when it comes to home renovations is daunting. Alfonso was the first and most communicative of any other companies on Yelp and elsewhere who could give me a straightforward estimate as I embarked on my masterbath shower remodel. He and his team did such a stellar job that I later hired him to help with a remodel of my guest bath. It's a big and messy undertaking but Alfonso and team did it in a timely manner and with great communication. They also left things in fantastic condition and took time to do things like laying down material to cover the flooring as they worked and moved throughout our home. Alfonso helped me to pick out the exact materials I wanted, advised me of the process, and was readily available to answer any questions or respond to anything I requested to be adjusted. I am a perfectionist by nature, and he has been so patient. The work speaks for itself if you see the pictures. The customer service he provides really sets these guys apart. Houston preferred contractors does great work!They were ready to start on time. There was a hiccup in the process due to some equipment not fitting on my driveway. They called around and had the equipment they need it at my home within an hour. They said they would be done in two days and they were in fact done in two days even with the setback. The pricing was very reasonable as we were quoted almost double for the same job through another contractor. I would use them again for sure. read more

Alfonso from Houston's Preferred Contractors was recommended to me to replace a driveway and patio. Alfonso was quick to survey the project and respond with a fair estimate. Alfonso's crew was scheduled to start at 7am. By 630 am they were in front of the house ready to start. Promptly at 7 am they began. Unfortunately, for the crew, the weather was a little chilly so it took longer than usual for the cement to cure. The crew stuck with it though until 945pm, constantly checking and sweeping the cement to ensure that it was smooth. They also had to contend with a feral cat who kept walking on the patio leaving footprints. But, they never complained, just kept sweeping the concrete. When they left, Alfonso added caution tape to the driveway so no one could drive on it. Alfonso checked in with us daily until the driveway was totally cured. He then returned to ensure that the entire area was clean. We were extremely pleased with Alfonso and his crew and would highly recommend them.
