MZ Masonry removed all of the existing faux-brick (house is about 50/50 brick/stucco), the layers behind it and the plywood expertly. They then expertly installed new bricks with multiple layers including Tyvek wrapping and coats between the brick and plywood while also changing out all of the plywood. The finished product was excellent. The quoted price was quite fair. I received at least four quotes higher than MZ's quote. This was a large project and took and was completed in the time frame Manuel told me it would take. I would not hesitate to recommend Manuel and his team.

We traded messages about what I was looking for and set up a time for him to come out and give me an estimate. The estimate seemed fair and, more importantly, Luis had done projects like this before. So I decided to move forward. In the meantime, I was getting new carpeting in the room and at the last minute I decided the room should get painted before the installation date. Luis was able to move somethings around to accommodate me. He also took great care of protecting my furniture and the new carpet from paint and dust. The end result of this project completely exceeded my expectations! I literally handed Luis a sketch I made on ChatGPT and he and Carlos executed it beautifully. They even left the inside edges uncaulked because I'm 50% sure I'll install wallpaper panels at some point. Throughout the project, Luis made it clear that he wanted me to be completely satisfied. There was a small issue that he could have easily covered up but he brought it to my attention and discussed how it should be fixed. There's the lazy way to do something and the right way - Luis and Carlos definitely did it the right way! One more thing I want to add is that Luis is an excellent communicator! I hired Safe-Lift to pour a driveway for me on 3/1/25. Within a month after pouring, cracks started…read moreto appear as well as mottling. I requested the owner, Alex Lopez, to come and look at it several times. He never came back. He did send an employee who told me not to worry about the cracks or the mottling. He tried to say the mottling was from my sprinklers; however, it was March and I hadn't turned the system on yet. Then he tried to say it was leaves that caused the mottling, however, I watered the driveway as instructed, so there weren't any leaves on it during the cure time and I didn't park on it for 10 days. I filed a claim in small claims court in October 2025. Meanwhile I hired a cement forensic company to analyze and test the integrity of the cement poured. His testing showed that instead of the minimum 4" thickness, some areas were only 3-1/4" thick. There were many other defects listed in his report. I also found out he didn't get a pre-pour inspection from the city, but went ahead with the pour. On March 2, 2026, we went to court. My mistake was not taking the representative from the forensic company with me. The judge wouldn't even look at the report. Thats on me. I lost the case. i am an elderly widow. This was my first project alone. I put my trust in this young man to be honest and pour a quality driveway. Again, that's on me for being naive. I would not recommend Safe-Lift to pour a driveway for anyone. It has been a heartbreaking nightmare me.
