Is there an option to leave zero stars?…read more I spent over $5,000 on flooring that was sold with a "lifetime warranty." After installation, I started noticing multiple cracks, eventually up to ten across the floor, so I filed a warranty claim. I followed their entire process, including having an inspector come out, only to receive a report that made no sense. The claim was denied based on "improper installation," specifically stating the flooring was installed flush to the baseboards. That's simply not true. A proper half-inch expansion gap was left, exactly as outlined in the installation guidelines. Frankly, once they sent out their inspector, it became clear the outcome was predetermined. Instead of standing behind their product, they looked for any reason to deny the claim, and they found one. What's most frustrating is that I had flooring installed in the same home, using the same method, for five years without a single issue. The only thing that changed was the product color and brand, which strongly suggests this is a product defect, not an installation problem. Bottom line, don't put much faith in the "lifetime warranty." In my experience, it doesn't mean much, and the company will not stand behind their product when it matters. The flooring brand was NuCore. I will not be using them or this retailer again.

I really wanted a one piece quartz for the fireplace so the veining would match up, but the cost of a one piece quartz was much higher than tile. The very next day, the actual owner (Abdul) of the store came over to measure our fireplace for sizing accuracy. I asked him to measure our countertops since we wanted that done in a future job. Abdul then told us if we got the countertops NOW , he'd throw in the fireplace surround QUARTZ for free. He gave us the estimate on the countertop/fireplace which we found to be reasonable. He texted me a picture of the quartz/backsplash I wanted so I could make sure that it is the one he promised. He also promised the work to be complete by Thanksgiving which was only two weeks away. We have a large kitchen, too. So many contractors promise a time frame, but hardly any ever keep it. Not so with DE. They finished the countertop/backsplash/sink/electrical job on time. I found Abdul to be truly concerned about making the customer happy and giving them what they want. Even AFTER we shook on the deal, Abdul offered us a farmhouse sink/faucet and under counter lighting for FREE. He also says he will make us a matching lazy Susan from the quartz cut out from the fireplace as a gift. No business I dealt with offers more AFTER the deal is decided on. So what are other reasons to choose DE over the others?: 1). First, they have been in business 30 years and have been growing. I notice they keep the same employees which means there is experience and stability in the business. Track record says a lot. 2). They have a HUGE selection of any type of stone (tile, quarts, granite slabs on site) almost anything you want. 3). ALL the workers that did the job (countertop, tile, plumbing, electric) are professionals -- perfectionists at their job. (And they were nice to my animals which is important since I have 4 dogs and 3 cats that get in the way). They know what they are doing and work fast and efficiently. I was impressed with the electrician who--in his effort to install undercounting lighting-- saw that the original house builder's electricians did some wiring behind the wall which was not up to code. Even though it would've been much easier for him to do his job like theirs, he refused and did extra work to make it within code standards. I admire that because I wouldn't have known the difference. Also my cabinet door needed resizing after the farmhouse sink was installed. I told Abdul that we were planning on refacing cabinet doors in a few months so just cut it at the bottom to fit without worrying about the trim detail matching the other cabinets. Abdul insisted it match the others, however, and so his carpenter worked on it to make it look perfect like the others. I was quite impressed. In other words, DE doesn't cut corners. They want to do things right. My toaster oven was against my wooden pantry and it was discolored from the heat that burnt the wood some. It was covered up by the toaster oven so no one can see it. However, (at no extra cost to me), Abdul insisted it be covered with tile so there wouldn't be a fire hazard there anymore 4). Finally, because we originally wanted just the fireplace done, we were not expecting this big countertop expense so soon. Abdul offered us financing without interest which made this job affordable for our budget. I don't know any other contractor that would do that. Needless to say, we are EXTREMELY happy with our experience with DE. I had no idea the difference that under counter lighting and farmhouse sink would make in giving our kitchen a "wow" factor. I am grateful that these luxuries were even offered to us even after the deal was made. I have utmost respect for this business and will consider them definitely for future work on my house. Thank you DE!

The Kitchen took a little over 4 weeks! The demo crew walked in on November 4th and the cleaning crew walked out on December 4th! Honest! We 1st hired The Showroom for a master bath remodel in 2008. Mark Carter is part owner & designer & Mark did a fantastic job with the lay-out & color scheme. This was a "right down to the wall studs & slab" rebuild. Demoed the old jakuzi, tiny shower, Hollywood lighting, vanity, sliding mirror closet doors & carpet. Came back with 24" tile flooring, a big glass walled shower with rain head & bench, cabinetry with bun feet, maximized the closet user friendliness & updated all lighting. We lived in that house another 10 yrs & never had a complaint about labor or materials. Good job, Mark, we loved that bathroom. We moved to a 1983 vintage house in 2018 & in September 2019 we hired The Showroom to update the kitchen. This also was a "bare stud" project. Mark now does his design work on computer so you see how everything will look & fit. The design & workmanship were good as ever & materials even better. All we knew was we needed more useable space & we had a color scheme in mind so we told Mark & got out of his way. The results are as good or better than for the old bathroom. The drawers glide as if on air & close themselves with a gentle shove & likewise, the cabinet doors never slam. We have so much more useable space we still haven't filled all the drawers or cabinets. We definitely recommend The Kitchen & Bath Showroom & would (probably will) use them again.
