I told him the website has 35% off. He said he just got to with and he did not know. Again it appeared to be an inconvenience to him to check on the price. I checked for him. 35% off. I told Jonathon I would like to pay for the order as someone else was picking up the paint. He said I could not do that. I asked him to clarify what he was saying. He was clearly annoyed and inconvenienced and said we can't just take orders and have paint just sitting around waiting to be picked up. I told this rude company representative to cancel the order. It's been a long time coming!!!!…read more Located on the southeast corner of Hobbs and League City Parkway (Hwy 96), this Ace Hardware is a huge plus to those of us who live west of the Gulf Freeway. I've utilized them a few times now. The staff has been extremely helpful. They know the whole store, not just the department. They aren't experts in everything DIY but I've found them to be more than willing to help or at least try to figure it out. The owners are on-sight most of the time and are extremely friendly. Like any Ace Hardware, some items are slightly more expensive than Lowe's and Home Depot. However, they also have things that those stores don't have, like loose nuts and bolts for instance. Honestly, is there anything more annoying than having to buy pre-packaged nuts and bolts? The project I was doing today required 4 bolts, nuts, and fender washers. I went to Ace and bought 4 bolts, nuts, and washers. I wasn't forced to buy packs that are pre-packaged with numbers that NEVER align. There's always 6 bolts, 4 nuts, and 7 washers. Its like buying hot dogs and buns...the numbers never match. Anyway, I digress. I love being able to buy exactly what I need in the exact count I want. Plus, I got a great deal on some sunflower seeds for my bird feeders. I got a 25lb bag on sale for $9.99. They are also an authorized dealer for Big Green Egg and Traeger Grills. This is important because the only other dealer for BGE in League City recently closed. As far as power tools go, they carry Craftsman, Milwaukee, Dewalt, and Stihl. They carry Benjamin Moore paint and other brands. They have almost everything you need at a hardware store minus a bunch of lumber, fencing, and building/roofing materials. If you need that, don't come here. Bottom line - They have almost everything you need for the DIY projects that you have going around the house. Conveniently located and extremely helpful. I am very glad they are now in the neighborhood.

I needed to buy 15 gallons of paint for the exterior of my house. I told them when I was coming to get it (in a few days). They called me the day before to confirm and had it all set aside. They mixed it as soon as I arrived and I was out the door in 10 minutes. Bottom line - I know this is a shocker but they sell paint. It isn't cheap but it is good quality. Young man named Muhammed was checking me out in the Garden Center. I politely stated "the tag says $149". He responded "Yep". Confused I showed him the receipt and said, " I was charged $165. The tag says $149". Again he responded "yep". I asked him why he kept saying yep and he responded "yep, it charged you too much. I guess go talk to people in there" pointing to the main building. Since the purchase, we have experienced numerous problems and have had the couch exchanged five separate times. At this point, we are seeking appropriate compensation for the continued inconvenience. Each time we contact customer service, we are told there is no one higher up available to speak with. As someone who works in sales, I find that very difficult to believe--there is always a next level of escalation. Being offered a $200 credit on a $3,500 purchase, after everything we've dealt with, feels extremely inadequate and frankly quite insulting. In addition to the repeated issues with the product itself, we have had to miss work multiple times to accommodate delivery windows, all while working around your company's schedule. The overall customer service experience has been very disappointing, and we have not been provided with any meaningful resolution or a way to connect with someone who has the authority to help. Please advise on how I can escalate this matter to corporate or to a manager with the authority to properly address and resolve this situation. I would appreciate a prompt response.
