If you love plants this is the kind of place where you could get happily lost for a while. The staff was so welcoming and friendly, which made my visit even more enjoyable. I found a beautiful Golden Pathos that felt like it had been waiting just for me. Bringing home new plants is one of my favorite ways to spark joy in my home. For the size of the plant the cost was reasonable. I'll definitely buy from them again. Aside from all the greenery, they also have a huge selection of pots, soil, planters, and outdoor figurines that would bring your garden space to life.

I'm in the process of downsizing into a smaller apartment, so I was looking for a loveseat-size sofa with a console as well as a rocker recliner to put in my new living room space. I figured anything bought on the island would be ridiculously high in price, so I drove up to the Houston area and did some furniture shopping. Finally, I decided on a custom love seat and chair from Lazy Boy. I got a price on it, but decided to go home and think about it before actually purchasing. On my way into town the following day, I decided to stop into Star Furniture there on Broadway. Mr Guy came and showed me around trying to find me something "beachy" as I thought that would be a nice change. He spent more than a half hour trying to find the right look; however, nothing really won me over like the sofa and chair I had in mine from Houston. I showed Mr Guy the photo of the furniture I wanted and he said, "Oh we can order this; we are a Lazy Boy dealer." Since I would rather spend money locally in Galveston than in Houston, I said ok. See what you can do. He then spent well over an hour working with me locating the right product, fabric, and accessories to match the one I had picked out in Houston. When it was all over, he found exactly what I wanted AND saved me $660 in the process! I am more than delighted! I can't say enough good about the service I received here. Mr. Guy is the man you want to see next time you're looking for furniture! And tell him Cindy sent you!

11/14/2025: My friend and I went furniture shopping for a condo she purchased in Galveston. I was…read moreshocked how big this pace was inside. They have a great selection of, well, everything! Jo was our sales associate. She was very helpful and made great suggestions. We didn't get to the store until after 2 pm, so we were concerned we may not be able to get the furniture delivered the following day. The manager overheard us and stepped in to help. We were so pleased with the turn time. The delivery guys showed up at the time promised. They were able to take the old furniture away that my friend didn't want. They were very friendly and I know the old furniture they moved out really gave them a run for their money. The old couch was bigger and hard to get out of the doorway. I'm not sure how long they are running the sale. When we went on Friday, it was a buy one get one free sale. Great deals, great value on big brands, friendly service, big selection, fast processing, and on-time quick delivery. What more could you ask for?

It's a bunch of moderately posh shops in a strip mall. This store just happens to be a stone's throw from a breastfeeding store. Imagine being a postpartum mom looking for solace in pretty French bed linens and fluffy towels. Imagine what your toddler will do to your carefully chosen organza and chiffon fabrics. Another stone's throw, and you'll see a Pea in the Pod store. I get it; this strip mall is for mommies and up and coming mommies. This is not the shop or strip mall for poor mommies, only rich mommies. This store also carries things for guys like me who love burning things--candles. Lots of exotically scented candles. Who doesn't love exotically scented candles? And fancy dishes. Who doesn't need a set of fancy dishes? I've never seen so many old fashioned cheeses spreaders and functional cheese trays. Stroll for long enough time in here, and you'll think everyone needs many old fashioned cheese spreaders and functional cheese trays. Kudos to the fun gal working when I went there. I asked her if I could write an out-of-state check, and she said, "Sure; it bounces, and I'll go to Chicago and snuff your candle out." What guy doesn't need their candle snuffed out?

Linens, blankets, robes, pajamas, christening garb, books tucked here and there, pretty smelling candles, lotions, and infuser sets, and linen-covered furniture. Did I mention the sleeping dog? He (or she) is vigilantly napping while customers peruse. I was recently on a quest for a teapot, and lumbered into this shop wanting to leave no stone unturned. No luck with the teapot, but I did find some candles that I almost couldn't live without. There were also a few Lollia hand lotions that I refrained from buying...even the purse-sized one that I know I'll regret not having. At first glance, the prices seem a bit rich for items that appear very basic. This assumption is incorrect. The prices reflect the quality and the subtle embellishments. Simple, sweet, and classic.
