This flea market style thrift store establishment is off the beaten path. There's just a handful of…read moreparking spaces right out front. The first thing you notice as you pull up is that this place looks like an outdoor flea market. If you're into countless rusty tools and pieces of old equipment and endless plastic totes to dig through, then this is the place for you. absolutely everything sits under tarps and tents where all the goods are dusty and weathered. At least some of the electrical and electronics they have for sale are bagged up to protect them from the elements. So if you're the type that likes to get your hands dirty and spend an hour or more pouring over the myriad of rundown goods, then have fun. As for me I don't plan on returning. The photos below will either inspire you or deter you.

While looking around I met a young boy who was clearly from around the neighborhood shopping as well. After a few minutes, I hear the owner yelling and screaming at the boy just because he was there without his mother. I walked over and asked the man's wife why he couldn't shop and she acted nervous and said that's just how her husband is. The man continued to scream and yell at the boy and then smacks him in the back with a fly swatter while screaming get out we don't want your money! That was it for me. If I hadnt had a table between us, that fly swatter wouldve been shoved down his throat! I started yelling for my husband who was already making his way towards me because he heard what was happening and new id go to jail over someone hurting a child. Meanwhile the woman and man are screaming at each other. We quickly walked out with the boy and made sure he got across the road before leaving. DO NOT GO HERE!!! It's a complete mess of garbage and things that could be nice but they have been wet and all smell like cat poo and mildew. Plus, the owner is a complete ass. The things the kid wanted to buy were most likely the only sale he was going to make that day! Even if we had found something, I wouldn't spend a single penny supporting this place!

It's a bunch of moderately posh shops in a strip mall. This store just happens to be a stone's throw from a breastfeeding store. Imagine being a postpartum mom looking for solace in pretty French bed linens and fluffy towels. Imagine what your toddler will do to your carefully chosen organza and chiffon fabrics. Another stone's throw, and you'll see a Pea in the Pod store. I get it; this strip mall is for mommies and up and coming mommies. This is not the shop or strip mall for poor mommies, only rich mommies. This store also carries things for guys like me who love burning things--candles. Lots of exotically scented candles. Who doesn't love exotically scented candles? And fancy dishes. Who doesn't need a set of fancy dishes? I've never seen so many old fashioned cheeses spreaders and functional cheese trays. Stroll for long enough time in here, and you'll think everyone needs many old fashioned cheese spreaders and functional cheese trays. Kudos to the fun gal working when I went there. I asked her if I could write an out-of-state check, and she said, "Sure; it bounces, and I'll go to Chicago and snuff your candle out." What guy doesn't need their candle snuffed out?

Get an image in your head, and you'll be imagining this shop: white french linen. Linens, blankets, robes, pajamas, christening garb, books tucked here and there, pretty smelling candles, lotions, and infuser sets, and linen-covered furniture. Did I mention the sleeping dog? He (or she) is vigilantly napping while customers peruse. I was recently on a quest for a teapot, and lumbered into this shop wanting to leave no stone unturned. No luck with the teapot, but I did find some candles that I almost couldn't live without. There were also a few Lollia hand lotions that I refrained from buying...even the purse-sized one that I know I'll regret not having. At first glance, the prices seem a bit rich for items that appear very basic. This assumption is incorrect. The prices reflect the quality and the subtle embellishments. Simple, sweet, and classic.
