I was looking to plant a new tree for our backyard so stopped in at Moon Valley to see what was available. As soon as I began walking up I was greeted by Andrew who was very knowledgeable and helpful in showing me around. They had a great selection of all kinds and sizes of trees. I had shopped other places and was never even approached by anyone. I chose a 15 gallon Shumard Oak that was very healthy and caught a great sale! It was much healthier than larger trees at other places so felt I got a great value along with the great customer service. . Got it home and planted and looking forward to welcoming the shade and wildlife in our yard. Will definitely be returning to this location anytime I need to look for more landscaping options. read more

I was in need of trees, many, front and back yard.. I sent in an internet lead and Nick Milton called me immediately, I was there the next day and what a great experience. I learned about lots of trees, sizes and prices, never knew some many options were available. I left having purchased 5 trees and was happy about the whole process. A few weeks later Eddie and his crew delivered and planted these trees, quick, efficient and clean. Left my yard beautiful, trees secure and planted perfectly. If you're in the market for trees, the buy and plant program is worth every penny spent on it, I promise... Transformed my yard and I would do it all again tomorrow. read more

Great customer service and fabulous selection of trees/flowers/shrubs etc. this place is geared more towards bulk purchasing but we still felt okay buying just a plum fruit tree. Very informative on post care of plants once they're in the ground. They also offer services for delivery and planting- for a fee. Overall great experience. Thanks, Andrew! read more

I couldn't be more pleased with the entire process; Sales, selection, planning, value of the palms (King and Sago), and the service and installation of our purchase at our home. We encountered a wrinkle in the installation process where our tree removal/stump grinding service was not quite up to par and Moon Valley Nurseries worked tirelessly with us to move the installation schedule to accommodate the redo of the stump grinding to fit our new Sago Palms and our King Palms. Eddy Sanchez and his crew are extremely professional. He took the time to listen and to work this issue out, through scheduling, and was able to put us on a quick installation turn around. We couldn't be happier! We happily recommend Moon Valley Nurseries and Eddy Sanchez and his team for the professional installation. I would give 6 stars if I could. Best experience ever with landscaping! read more

We had a great experience with Moon Valley Nurseries out of League City. We were looking for a solution to provide privacy and some shade for our yard against a shared fence line. We worked with Rachel and she helped my wife pick out the right type of tree for our project. The layout of the nursery at the League City is enormous with plenty of choices. The prices of the trees vary, while you might receive some sticker shock, what you are buying is years and instant project completion. In our case our trees were 6-8 years old and matured already. This is good because they reached over the fence line and there is less chance of shock. Rachel was very knowledgeable and worked with us to find a solution within our price range. As far as planning and installation, Moon Valley worked with dig safe to come out and validate our back yard planting site and scheduled calls with updates. We had our trees installed by Larry and his team from Moon Valley. Their experience was just as good. They worked with us to identify the line and position of our trees to maximize the value for us. Larry and his team were very nice and knowledgable and worked quickly. They cleaned up afterwards and picked up all their gear. Overall I was happy with the project and look forward to working with them again. read more

Wow! Just, wow! My husband & I were looking to add some Crape Myrtles to our back & front yards, as well as a Shumard Red Oak to the front. Our Moon Valley Nurseries consultant, Nick Minton, really knows his trees! He was amazingly knowledgeable about all Moon Valley Nurseries had to offer & all the differences between the different oaks & Crape Myrtles. His expertise confirmed our decision to go with the Shumard Red Oak & we purchased one, along with three crapes. In the interim, we discovered an old water oak we had in our backyard had died & we had to immediately have it removed. We returned to Moon Valley Nurseries, met with Nick again & purchased another Shumard Red Oak for our backyard. Yesterday, our trees were expertly planted by Eddie & his crew. They took great care in planting & securing all of the trees in their rightful spot. They also did a fantastic job of cleaning up afterwards. Many thanks to Nick, Eddie & crew, & Moon Valley Nurseries. You have a client for life! read more

What an amazing selection of healthy trees and plants have all sizes locally grown outstanding customer service. I would definitely come here again. read more

Stopped by yesterday to look around. I wasn't approached once asking if I needed help. Even worse though was the ridiculous prices. For a small plant, that I can get for $15-$20 elsewhere, they wanted $39.99 For a calamondin tree, which I found elsewhere for $49.95, they wanted $399.99 Don't even get me started on the big trees. EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. AVOID this place and look at better options. I will never return here. read more

I can barely look at my backyard. My husband and I regret everyday to use this company. I spent more than U$7.000, yes seven thousand dollars 4 years ago. Their arborist came to my house and recommended to plant 14 Japanese blueberries and one big Camphor Tree... all in the garbage... first freeze in 2020 i Lost almost everything, I spent more three thousand dollars to trim all trees from the base and hormones from another company. Another freeze came again in Dec/2022 I lost everything... and I just found out online that Japanese Blueberry is the number 1 tree to not have in Houston. How they say they are expertise in trees and recommend these species?!?! read more

Huge selection, but definitely overpriced compared to local competitors. Overall a great selection. Although, seem like the staff works off of commission because they were pushing to sell. I'm not easily to be persuaded so I took my business up the road. read more

The plants are beautiful, unfortunately, due to cables underground they could not be planted where they were planned. The only person that came out to check was someone from the electricity dept. They would not refund my money, even though they did not live up to their end of the deal. read more

First-rate service from beginning to end. I scheduled a design consultation with Andrew and he arrived as scheduled to discuss my needs. Met the next morning at the nursery to pick a tree from their selection of size/species required by the HOA. Buyer beware!!!! Rip off central, believe every negative review, wasted over 2500. They try to extort more money on delivery, if you don't give in there, they deliver a different tree than you paid for, they told us our other trees needed injections, we purchased it and months later the came after we called and said when you coming and did a drive by without injecting them, showed them ring video of no work done, they said we could come back but if we inject and it was done it will kill the trees. We don't trust them anymore and decided not to them back and lose the money rather than our trees. This company leaves you feeling cheated read more

Daniel Frascona came out, surveyed the situation, and led us through a personal tour of Moon Valley's League City location. This place is SUPER expensive! I was looking to replace an Anna apple tree that I lost in Hurricane Beryl, they had plenty of them but at $399! Moon Valley Nurseries - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - League City, Texas

I've visited Moon Valley Nursery several times, and each time I leave feeling so frustrated. I want to love this place. Their selection of fully-grown trees is unlike anything I've ever seen. However, they make the purchasing process so complicated that it feels like I'm buying a car instead of a plant. They don't list prices on all the trees, which is a red flag for me. But even after you find out the purchase price, the process isn't done. There are delivery prices, installation prices, multiple options for protection plans, etc. I found a beautiful 11-13-year-old Mexican Sycamore that was stunning. The original price was $6k, but they had a 50% off sale that brought it down to $3k; I was told I missed the 60% sale by one day and "might possibly" be able to get the 60% off discount instead. Come on, man. Either I can or can't. Don't play games. Once the delivery charge ($250), the installation price (supposedly included in the purchase price), the protection plan ($60), and the fee for staking ($??) was added I was somehow at $4k before tax. The math isn't mathing. Then I was told I could save 5% by doing a payment plan. Again, I'm buying a plant, not a car. As much as I would love to have one of their trees in my yard, I can't get past the feeling that I'm being scammed. Hopefully, this place will revise its business practices and embrace transparency in pricing. Until then, I do not recommend shopping here. read more

I purchased a tree last November, I love the way it is growing so fast, and it was doing exceptionally well until Hurricane Beryl came through in the beginning of July. The winds uprooted it and left it tilted to one side. The team from Moon Valley League City came and replanted it correctly just as if nothing happened. My tree is happy again and looking great. Thank you to Eddie and his crew for all your hard work and commitment to a job well done. Thank you to Joe for helping me with all the information I requested for customer satisfaction. read more

We worked with Andrew on purchasing new trees and shrubs for our front yard. He helped us select Vitex for one area and knockout roses and little johns for the beds. It was nice to be able to select the exact trees from their large nursery. As luck would have it, we picked a delivery and planting date just a week before hurricane Beryl, but they all tolerated the storm without damage. Andrew was pleasant, knowledgeable and helped us decide what might work or not work for our soil and level of sun exposure. Based on our experience, we chose MVN to handle removal of some other trees that did not weather the storm very well. read more
