I found Maas Nursery online. It is located in Seabrook Texas. Kind of far from Houston, but their prices seem to be better than businesses locally and they had everything I wanted, including experts in horticulture.. It was a dreary day today raining since 1 AM. I arrive there around 11 AM. As I was walking from the parking lot, I met Leon who offered to assist me in finding the plants I wanted. . I found him helpful and knowledgeable and when he didn't have an answer for me, he went to a manager who had the information I needed. A lady named autumn checked me out she was quite helpful, even though their power had gone out because of the storm they Hand wrote My receipt and gave me a copy . They asked if they could take my credit card information and when their power return, they would send me a receipt via email if I provided them my email address, which I did. Overall, the staff was very accommodating and pleasant, except for the lady at the counter named Jennifer. I found her to be standoffish and she gave me the feeling that she was doing me a favor by allowing me to purchase plants from them. Or, I was bothering her.. I have to say that did not make me feel good, however, the professionalism and kindness of the other staff over road the experience and negative energy I got from Jennifer. Friendly and helpful customer service. Knew what I was looking for and spent time looking to find it.

I went on a Tuesday, the rose selection is okay. I went to buy a pot for my rose bush. Everything is expensive here. Everyone know that's first hand lots of plants but some how minimal selection. I ended up finding pots for 41 dollars they had about forty of them. The lady at the counter questioned me about the pot where I had got the pot. I tried to answer but she talked over me and yelled at a guy worker if she could sell it and for some reason if he was using it lol. He yelled back annoyed like no! Any how she told me that it was priced very well and she questioned what location again. She appeared to not want to sell me the pots and I told her there is like 40 of them here! Any how I clearly was the only semi young Hispanic costumer in the store I felt a little embarrassed and. Of course slightly discriminated. read more

Maas We were in the area this week, looking for yellow Esperanza and climbing jasmine. Wonderful assortment of both. Bought 4 of each. Also bought bedding plants, new shipment knock rose,Goliath bush tomato plant (has small tomatoes on plant) and fresh herbs. Do not go to Maas just looking, you will have a flat cart full. read more

A pretty amazing place with a HUGE selection of indoor, outdoor, landscape, and veggie garden plants, and garden objects of all manner. I went on a day when it was foggy and not many people. How beautiful this place is. You can spend literally hours here in constant awe. You forget about the Texas heat when you are here, nothing matters. The prices are what you expect from a nursery. Maas is a bit of a trek to get to if you're coming from Houston but if you're an outdoor gardener it is very worth it. It sprawls with all kinds of annuals, perennials, fruit trees and bushes, shade trees, and herbs - including a bunch I've never seen in a nursery before! Definitely walked out with like 4 different kinds of blueberry bushes and a variegated pink lemon tree for very reasonable prices. For houseplants, there's a good selection in a large greenhouse but not the rarer plants for the most part. There's a small Hoya section with about 6-7 varieties, a couple types of syngoniums, carnivorous plants, etc. But the prices are really good, like I found a variegated Hoya compacta for the best price I've ever seen. Some of the greenhouse plants looked a bit neglected, but I'm betting that's more due to things being so busy outside for spring. For cacti and succulents I found the selection to be more meh. Parking wise there's a decent sized lot that does fill up for weekends. But there's some street parking you can do along the side of the road. read more

September 8, 2021 Came in today on my way back home to Galveston. My goodness...this nursery is huge...8 acres huge! The Maas family live on property. This nursery has fruit trees & plants, vegetable plants , all kinds of shrubs, flowers (indoor/out) seeds, soil...pesticides, etc It has garden decor, gloves, hats, pots, benches, water fountains...just everything. This is one of the best nurseries I've seen. There are so many varieties of plants- everything from 6" to trees, shrubs, grasses, sun or shade, annuals and perennials, ready to be planted or nicely arranged in pots or hanging. They have garden decor, decorative pots, tools and potting mixes and amendments. And the people working here really know their plants!! This is such a lovely place to walk around and get ideas for beautifying your own yard and garden. read more

April 2021: I bought a heart leaf Hoya Kerri. It's a leaf shaped like a heart, stuck in dirt, and the lady at checkout warned me that they don't grow any more; the leaf stays alive if you water it, but it's not going to be a huge plant. I didn't want to protest (introverts will understand) so bought the plant anyway, and for 9 months I left it in an east facing window, watering when I remembered and the pot felt light (read: sporadically), and left it in the same pot I bought it in. January 2022: as we learned from Jurassic park, life finds a way! See the tiny vine forming in the picture!! November 2022: this plant is a beast and still in the same pot (I did replace the soil once) see last picture. So even though the plant turned out not as expected, I'm happy with however she wants to be. And I appreciate the Maas employee for being honest, even if she was wrong. read more

I've heard great things about this place but was not really impressed. Yes, it's huge but I felt that their variety was lacking. Obviously, a place where landscapers shop because there were a lot of builder grade plants. I was hoping for some unique plants but didn't really find any. Also, the layout was a bit odd. Not sure if they didn't have herbs or I missed them. Also, few native plants. Glad I went but for fun plants, I'll need to go into Houston. read more

The cactus/succulent house is one of my heavens on earth, and they have an incredible pot/planter variety and inventory. Beautiful nursery large impressive plants -found several hard to find for my collection -customer service . Customer service was surprising. I was fine and enjoying shopping doing well in my own and a lady asked me if I needed help I had my hands full I said well ok gave her a delicate hanging basket to set at the front she looked at me like I had a third eye . Despite it being in Seabrook, they always have the selection we want at a fairly reasonable price. We were looking for red tip bushes only to leave several nurseries inside the Houston City Limits empty handed. We called Maas up before taking the long trek to Seabrook to make sure they had what we needed. They had exactly what we were looking for, they said the plants we wanted to side and were able to work with us even though we got there near close time. So happy to have Maas down the street from me. I now understand why so many of my friends love this place. It's a Plant and Flower Heaven. This is just stunning in a natural, jungly way. They are so knowledgeable and the selection is so vast. They also have a gorgeous supply of pottery and accessories. Walk through to the back, and they have their indoor plant section (my favorite) and you can easily spend an hour in that section. Bare in mind, it is a little pricier than the smaller nurseries in the area but I don't mind, considering the whole experience is really beautiful. I would definitely recommend going! read more

This place is so peaceful and beautiful! Plant heaven! Went in to check this plant nursery for the first time on a weekday and it was really quiet. It felt like I had this place to myself. Decided to take a journey to the south to find some nice flora for the yard. The place is massive and beautiful! I could spend an hour or two meandering, with all the different sections. I went mid fall. I imagine it would be quite the sight around spring when everything is in growth and flowering. But it is also very very pricey. I wanted a few different things, but the price was a bit too much for what it was so I decided on just one thing. Definitely worth checking out. They have a variety that to won't find in too many places in the city. read more

Heaven on Earth! Location is easy to miss despite it's size. There is plenty of parking & additional parking along the road. This nursery is massive so be sure to grab a map if you're intending on stopping at each section. There is such a wonderful variety of plants, trees and shrubs. A person can spend hours here, like, on purpose! You can find just about anything your garden would need to thrive here. Pots, decorations and even local honey. The staff are scattered around the grounds and easy to spot if you needed any assistance. They were all very polite and seemed eager to help. Beautiful butterflies were all over the place.
