It heats up just like the weather--something to consider if you live in a hot climate. Our Experience: We chose Big Tex Turf because they matched key items from another quote, had great reviews, and guaranteed completion before a big home event. We paid in full, so can't speak to financing. Our sales rep (Zach) started strong, but was hard to reach after booking. When weather delayed our install and left a large sand pile in the street (a safety and HOA issue), we couldn't get a hold of him--even the install team had trouble. I had to step in and offer a temporary tarp/cone solution myself. Tip: Texting a team member is more effective than calling. Calls go to the main office. Despite the sales rep gap, the installation team was excellent. They were efficient, professional, and finished the job in one day. Cleanup was great, and they came back as early as 7 AM to resolve post-install questions. 2-Year Follow-Up (as of 5/14/2025): Almost two years later, customer service remains solid. We've had a few normal turf issues and they've addressed every one quickly. The lawn still looks great--we're overall very happy. I have saved every text message and picture. Bring It! This is in response to the lies stated by Paula Souto on my review. I was in close communication with her and her husband from day 1. They came earlier than intended to fix my gate due to me having a dog and my neighbors having the fence down. I initially thought they were honest and sincerely concerned after they told me they used to be dog breeders. Basically when they came the husband had their inexperienced young family members doing the work...young teens, early twenties, it seemed. I sent multiple text messages to the fact that the fence was not put up correct with pictures and videos. I was not initially angry because I figured they would right a wrong. I own my own business, I don't automatically think someone is trying to get over on me, we are a Christian company. I asked them to build a small gate BEFORE they had completed the fence, NOT AFTER. The check Paula is lying about saying "an officer had to call me to pay her' is a COMPLETE LIE! YES, the check was returned NSF after they didn't deposit the check for more than 7 days. I will have to go back in my records to see the exact date. I again was STILL communicating with her and told her that I would make partial payments until it was completely paid off. That is how I was able to get her bank ACH info. I was doing everything I promised I'd do despite the trash job they did repairing my fence. Someone came by and nailed in SOME of the loose boards without notifying me that they were there. The video I posted was a video I sent her before things escalated. I was trying to give them a chance to right their wrong...but instead they started this BS with the police as if someone was stealing from them. Disgusting, smh. An officer DID call me and I let him know the same thing that I told these people, THE WORK WAS SHOTTY, I paid them PARTIAL payments via ACH BEFORE the officer ever called me and I told the officer to do WHATEVER he deemed necessary because there was NEVER anything fraudulent done to these people. I put them at the BOTTOM of the list to get paid after I saw the shotty work they did. She says a "nice officer" called me, laughable! From the initial meeting, Ronnie arrived on schedule and was very professional. He listened to everything that we wanted incorporated into our design and was very knowledgeable about materials, plants, etc. Within a week or two after the initial meeting, we were presented with a quote and a hand-drawn landscape plan that not only included everything we wanted, but also had a few of Ronnie's personal touches as well. Since Ronnie was the fourth landscaper that we had met with, we can definitely say that his pricing is both reasonable and competitive. During the installation process, Ronnie and his team did a great job of keeping us informed of what was being done and they also left the work area very clean at the end of each day. He is very particular with his plant selection and also pays attention to details during installation, which makes all the difference in the design. In the end, our yard turned out AMAZING! We couldn't be happier with our choice to use Ronnie to bring our ideas to life. My husband and I finally have our dream landscaping that we will enjoy for years to come! After speaking with Ronnie over the phone and telling him what I was interested in doing, he set up an appointment to meet and look at my front yard. Within a week, he'd drafted a drawing, had samples of plants and an estimate. Once I was ready to proceed a few months later, it only took them 2 days to complete the job, which included removing all of the plants and trees, and adding new shrubs, flowers, pebbles and a large boulder. My new landscaping looks amazing and is exactly what I wanted. Ronnie and his crew were extremely professional as well. As I know very little about plants, it was comforting working with someone who has a wealth of knowledge in this area.
