2 Stars = "Meh, I've experienced better" and that is exactly on point with this place…read more Altmans is located at the corner - it's not hard to find especially with the adjacent and sparkly Altmans Surfaces addition that is currently in progress (the front is attractive; the back is still being made). We stepped into the established store on the left. The front is not much bigger than a no-name cell phone store. The back is really cramped with fixtures. There's a small corridor that connects to Altmans Surfaces next door but you wouldn't know it at this time because it's filled with construction material. Aside from a couple of show piece tubs out in the front, the store is not what you'd expect from a place in Beverly Hills, although it is located in the less swanky part of the city. They packed every square inch with products - toilets and tubs on the ground, fixtures on the walls. There are interesting brands but no prices anywhere. In the back there is one desk with a sales guy and a customer across from him. Both weren't saying much to each other. At first I thought they were two employees or friends chilling, but then I noticed the customer's credit card information was being typed into a computer. We walked by and decided to walk out next door to check out the prettier counterpart and come back in a few minutes. Walked into Altmans Surfaces - nice looking tiles but go next door to Westside Tiles. They also had sample showers etc, no prices, fine. A guy greeted us and we told him our story. Instead of giving us some information that we were looking for, he suggested that he come over and measure everything and then provide us with options. There was one unit in the store that I was interested in learning more about but something much more basic, but he didn't offer any brochures or websites for me to do research on. I'm all about doing my own homework so I wasn't too thrilled thus far about the possibility that my options here were going to be way out of range and practicality. We were led back to the original Altmans and to the first sales guy coming out of the employee restroom. He had a thick tongue and it was a bit difficult to understand. I told him about the homework I already did but wanted some help in getting additional information. He tinkered with some price book at his feet, googled something on Yahoo and showed me the address of a dealer. I went home and looked at the website and that was not at all what I was asking for. As we were walking out, he told me to let the dealer know that he referred us. If I were rich, I'd go to the fancier stores up in West Hollywood that provide better displays with employees with better people skills. But I'm not rich, and I thought the sales guy at the Bathroom Store in Torrance was significantly more helpful in giving me tips and providing me with brochures in the 15-20 minutes I spent there. The store there was even smaller than Altman's, but I felt more productive walking out their doors with something to go on. The fact that there are no prices anywhere lead me to believe that some people will get more favorable prices and others will get gouged for the same item, and I just don't want to play this game. Perhaps this place is for people in the industry who know what they need and just need the supplier. For common folk, look elsewhere...even the Kohler Signature Store in Culver City is $$$$ as heck but at least prices are prominently displayed so you know you're going to be treated fairly. Overall, it was a huge waste of time.

I don't know.. I said BIG, so he asked "something like 70?" I don't know.. show me some... We actually found several things we wanted, however when we found something, the guy right away said, OK this comes in 15 finishes and several sizes, got out a catalog and started telling us what we wanted... we really just wanted exactly what was on the floor.. Eventually, the sales guy, nice as he was, literally talked himself out of selling, a tub, a shower head, and a door lock... I just placed my order for the lock and shower head on Amazon instead. Nice place to browse, but the sales guys are a bit overwhelming, and don't know when to stop selling. I'm probably not going back.

As a boutique showroom focused on premium kitchen appliances, Luxury Kitchen offers a level of personalized service that larger retailers simply can't match. Most importantly, their commitment to customer service continued long after the sale. When we encountered some installation-related issues, the owners were personally involved, communicating with us and advocating on our behalf to help reach a resolution. Their responsiveness and dedication made a challenging situation much easier to navigate. If you're considering Sub-Zero appliances, I highly recommend Luxury Kitchen. Late 2015, my ethereal Aquarian, my Yellow Pages over Yelp, my Thomas Guide over GPS guy wandered…read moreinto Our Kitchen And Bath, was impressed with a bathroom vanity's price point enough to call me to suggest I check this place out. I was equally impressed but more so by my conversation with Moe who listened carefully to our criteria, looked at my "before" pictures then suggested we schedule a free, in home consultation. During that consult he took measurements, made suggestions to create more counter and cabinet space in our 57-square foot kitchen plus budget friendly improvements to the existing bath with just a new vanity and toilet. We returned to Our Kitchen And Bath to select cabinetry, sinks, and faucets. Moe showed us various countertops but advised to make a final decision once the cabinets were installed. Less than a week later he returned a quote meeting our budget requirements and a scheduled start date for first week of February. We had already sourced paint, appliances and lighting, although Moe would have done this for us. We signed the contract and made a deposit with the knowledge that additional charges might arise and they did. We had planned on another company to do the flooring but when we realized appliances would have to be moved twice, it just made sense to let Our Kitchen And Bath do the work. On schedule, demolition/construction began. Thoroughly impressed with the attention to detail, the amount of daily progress, how at the end of the day the crew cleaned up and we always knew what would be done and what time work would begin the following day. Our remodel was completed within one month. We LOVE it! Weird but we're going to miss the construction dust, the minor inconveniences because the entire process, the transformation was actually fun all due to Moe's designer eye, methodical approach, upbeat attitude (nothing was ever a problem) and his highly skilled sub contractor crews.

From my research, it seems pretty easy to find a contractor to do a $20,000+ kitchen renovation…read more However, when I had less than $10,000 to replace kitchen counters, the choices got really slim. I even had a contractor agree to a price, but then backed out of the deal. Moe was the only contractor that suggested keeping our tile back splash, and assured us that his demolition people could preserve it. Everyone else told us that they had to demolish the back splash, as well as the counters. Keeping the back splash saved us at least a couple thousand. Moe had other cost-saving suggestions, and suggestions on how to make the job look better. He has an incredible knowledge of the business and materials, as well as an artful eye. He listens carefully to our thoughts and preferences, before formulating options. Even though we couldn't afford to do the bathroom counters, this year, he was willing to give us his advice, and some ballpark figures. He can supply the sink and fixtures, but lets us supply our own, if we can find what we want at a better price. He removed our old tile countertops, had a seamless Caesarstone counter fabricated and installed, installed a new sink, disposal, fixtures, range hood, and range back splash. Everything except the range back splash was done within 5 days, and we were up and running normally by the end of the week. The finished work is beautiful. The subcontractors that he uses are very skillful, and fast. He arranged for some floor work, and the floor guy did an excellent job, as well. He follows up to make sure that we are satisfied. We will most likely hire him to do our bathrooms, next year.
