As a firefighter, my crew at the station immediately volunteered to "help" me take the trees down ourselves. Let's just say chainsaws, a ladder truck, and a bunch of firefighters with a day off could have turned into a very entertaining situation for the neighbors. In the end, I decided to leave it to the actual tree professionals--and I'm glad I did. After pointing this out, Zach immediately jumped on the defensive, saying it was performed 'as requested'. There were subsequent unprofessional emails, but lesson learned - don't give contractors the benefit of the doubt. I did get to speak with Robert, who performed the actual work. He was courteous and apologetic, asking if more needed to be done. But of course this needed to be authorized by the insidious boss from the office.
