Tony and his team just finished a big landscaping project for us, and my wife and I are totally impressed with the level of professionalism and the finished product. Our yard was a challenge, to say the least, full of weeds, an old lawn and a sprinkler system that needed updating. Tony came by, listened to what we wanted, and came up with a vision for how to make the yard beautiful, more efficient and with less maintenance. We were amazed at how hard he and his team worked each day. They cleared out the weeds, trimmed bushes and trees, prepared the old lawn with top soil and new seed, set up perimeter borders, replaced valves and set up sprinklers the right way to ensure exact coverage so that water isn't wasted. They spread new mulch and decorative rocks and gravel that helped map out the yard into defined areas. Tony has experience and it shows in the level of attention and detail. They also did an great job of cleanup afterwards. Landscaping is not cheap, and if done correctly, enhances your home value and makes you feel good to be in your back yard. Highly recommend Alvin's landscaping, especially Tony and his team. read more

Alvin and his team did an incredible job with a total back yard renovation. His prices were reasonable. He provided a quote quickly, began the project on the scheduled start date, and was communicative throughout the process. Alvin accommodated a couple design changes during the project. When the project ran a little late, the crew worked on the weekend to get back on schedule. The quality of the construction was superb. Overall, we had an amazing experience working with Alvin and wouldn't hesitate to work with him again. read more

Alvin's landscaping did a large project for us including irrigation, retaining walls and pavers. From the start, Alvin was punctual, professional and very easy to talk to. He explained the process, payment milestones and expectations. The crew was very kind and aware as I am a bit particular about how I like things. They finished a few days earlier than planned and the final results were amazing. I have also now started using him for small things and he always makes time to PICK UP HIS PHONE! If you're looking for quality work at a fair price, give this company a call. read more

Tony and his crew arrived started the yard clean up, they worked non-stop and did a fabulous job. They cut ivy, cleaned flower beds, cleaned the dog run, cleaned up the side yard, and spread mulch. The yard looked a new yard by late afternoon. I would highly recommend Alvin Tran Landscaping and their crew, Tony is just great at communicating and he is very easy to work with. Fantastic work. Alvin has great energy and ideas, he provided nice options at different prices, but never tried to upsell us. Always very clear communication. His crew did great work, very precise and exceeded expectations. Amazing attention to detail. We had them install a sitting area in the front and completely reworked the entire parking strip. We are very pleased with the work. Would not hesitate to recommend them. read more

Good quality service, and final result was worth every penny. Great value for the investment

Alvin responded quickly to our request for a quote, and showed up the next day to look over the project. His estimate for the job seemed more than fair, and Alvin and his friendly crew were able to start a few days later. Our job in Gig Harbor was done quickly without any delays, and finished in two days. Alvin took care of a few smaller additional items within his original price quote. His friendly manner and his generous help with ideas to make the landscaping low maintenance and attractive made us feel we had absolutely made the right choice by hiring him to do the work. We have a phase 2 coming up on this project, and we've already decided that we're going to use "Alvin's Landscaping". His company is reliable, professional and reasonable. read more

We worked with Alvin to completely remove our front yard and install pavers and a fence. His team did an amazing job and was able to deliver the work in the timeframe they quoted us for. His crew showed up on time every single day and always left the site very clean at the end of each day. In addition, Alvin talked with us through every decision and kept us in the loop to ensure we knew exactly what the outcome would be. Would highly recommend Alvin! read more

Would definitely recommend Alvins's Landscaping. Tony and his whole crew worked very fast and showed up when they said and cleaned up at the end of everyday. What started out as an irrigation system quote turned into 34 cherry laurel hedge planting, front and rear lawn dethactch and overseed, flower bed clean up, irrigation system, and cement Rv parking pad. Felt very comfortable working with Tony he gave input on what would work or look better in areas. And did not pressure us into any decision making. We are very happy with the outcome of the work Alvin's will be our goto for any future outdoor work. read more

We've contracted with Alvin now for two projects in the 12 months. 1st project was a privacy fence with gravel for a parking area and the 2nd, a full yard rennovation. They took up the first layer, leveled out the yard (front and back), put in a sprinkler system and a paver walkway from our patio to the fence/parking area. My husband and I had great experiences both times. Alvin had some really good ideas when it came to helping us turn our vision into reality and talked us through any surprises or challenges that came up during the project(s). His crew was friendly and they worked so fast, we couldn't have asked for a better group to work with! We would highly recommend them. I'm confident in saying, we're customers for the long run! read more

What an amazing transformation hiring Alvin landscaping with Tony and his team. My wife and I were in search for a great landscaping company that could provide excellent services. I have probably called 4 different companies to come do an estimate on our front and back yard. Alvin's landscaping was our 2nd from the 4 that came to our home, right then and there I immediately had great vibes from Tony. He was professional and friendly not to mention he wasn't trying to sell me anything that I couldn't get somewhere for portion of the cost, he was truthful. We had this chemistry in an instant. I knew right away he would be the guy to take our outdoor to a new level, but we wanted to make sure we get the best for our buck or should I say bang for our buck. My wife and I finally hired him. He drew up a contract word for word. Weeks later until the weather was good they started working. His effortless team work hard 2x a week. They prepared our fence in wall which looks ginormous. By week 3 he added my concrete cement that I asked. Also he added beautiful plants and gravel surrounding the outdoor. Coming home is so Zen like feeling. I could just pull out a hammock and lay in the wilderness. They always cleaned up after themselves and I would come home to a new experience. Bottom line is I'm so grateful to come across Alvin's landscaping and Tony with his hardworking team. I can't imagine you not hiring them to take care your landscaping needs. The best part is he will work with you on a budget ours was a little steep but it was worth every penny. You could reference to my photos. Before and after!!! We are coming home to an oasis retreat.i l Thanks Tony and Alvin's landscaping in transforming our front/backyard to something beautiful and worth coming home to and looking at. We are in love! The picture i posted are week after week progress. I will post the finished project read more

Alvin was awesome to work with. He is creative and is great about transparently talking about what he can do within different price points. The attention to detail made the space go from overgrown and chaotic to clean and relaxing. I'm so glad we went with him! read more

The county sent us a letter advising the fence at our rental home was built on the public right of way (by prior owners) and ordered us to move it in. We decided to go ahead and replace it and HOA approved repair by September 15. Tony promised it would be done by then and on September 4, day after Labor Day, he appeared at 7am. By 9am, he had already torn down the old fence and started the new one. Neighbors flocked over admiring his work and now we have the best fence on the block. So happy with our fence, we also asked him to trim the bushes in front. Tenants are happy as well with how much brighter the view is from the front patio. Thank you Alvin's Landscaping! I recommend you to anyone and everyone! read more

Alvin's Landscaping was quick to respond and did a fantastic job to cleanup old debris in my backyard. I used Yelp to submit my request for service, and they had a supervisor at my house the next day for an estimate. The job included tree & hedge trimming, clearing of underbrush and old vines, removing a small tree, and removing a pile of construction debris and railroad ties. They sent enough people to get the job done in a day, and they never stopped until it was done. I also appreciated the way Tony the supervisor was on site often, and checked in and communicated during the job to make sure I was satisfied. The pictures tell the story. read more

I cannot recommend Alvin and his team enough! I had researched a couple of other companies before finding this one, and left those conversations feeling condescended to and defeated about the prospect of getting my needs met in a timely and affordable way. From start to finish, Alvin was collaborative with me, explaining things patiently and helping to bring my vision to life while being transparent about budget, impact, and long-term implications. This project was a beast: pulling out unwieldy grass slopes in front and back, replacing with retaining walls and tiers, and shifting around plants to stay within the aesthetic of the neighborhood. They even fixed a fence that had been poorly installed by the original builders and wouldn't close anymore. Since they finished (in less than 2 weeks!!!), I've had multiple neighbors pull their cars over when they see me outside to ask who did this amazing work. You had better sign up with them now, before everyone in my community books them up! read more

Alvin and his crew did a great job for us. A couple small things weren't done to our satisfaction and Alvin was back right away and corrected them. Responded to a quote request and he came out and took a look at my yard. He had ideas about what we could do. But then never got back with a quote even after I texted him. Based on that I'd say the lack of communication is a sign of how reliable he is. Probably dodged a bullet by not using him. read more

We had Alvin replace half our fence because it was falling down and help us turn half our yard into a garden with a small retaining wall. New fence and gate look great. We had Alvin and his team close off the new garden area with a small fence built out of our old fence boards and it turned out perfect...exactly what I had envisioned! We have ducks, so stressed our concern about them escaping during the fence construction. The crew installed a temporary fence across the backyard to keep the ducks from getting out. Alvin was easy to work with and we already have another project lined up with him! read more

Contacted Alvin and he came out the next day (Monday) to do an estimate. His estimate was fair and well below another landscaper I had just talked to. His guys came out Tuesday and were done by Wednesday afternoon. We wanted it done ASAP and Alvin truly delivered. We couldn't believe how quickly they got it done. We got sod installed in our front and backyard and love the end result! It looks great and was well worth the money. read more

Alvin's Landscaping Service fit my last-minute job request in, during the busiest time of year. Complete overhaul of front yard, including removal of old bushes and trees, dead grass & weeds, dirt mounds & bark, and relocating large rocks. The end result is stunnng, in terms of design and beauty, by installing retaining and border walls, a stone walkway, adding beauty bark and river rock, laying top soil & sod, delivering and planting plants and hauling away truckloads of debris. I so much appreciated them meeting projected timelines for completion of project. I doubt one would find another landscaping contractor who goes above & beyond, as Alvin did, to ensure the customer is satisfied & happy with the progression & end result of the work. I highly recommend Alvin and his hardworking team. . read more

We were tired of dealing with the dead lawn and ugly trees in our front yard, and wanted something that was both low-maintenace and appealing. But we had no vision of how we wanted it designed beyond a few features that we knew we wanted. I loved the fact that Alvin listened to our vague ideas and then just ran with it. He came up with various designs and options while being mindful of your budget. It was like he could read our minds, we trusted that he knew just what we wanted, and he did not disappoint in making that happen. It was so awesome watching him bring new life to our yard. I wish everyone I hired was as great to work with as Alvin. read more

Previously, Alvin would receive 5-stars and has done work at our home several times over the last few years. He is a good person and he and his crew do great work! Highly recommend Alvin's landscaping, from the moment we messaged them for a quote they responded within hours and we got someone to come out that day to give us a quote. They came out the very next day and got it all taken care of. Will definitely use them in the future. read more

I called a couple of people for quotes on getting my front yard cleaned up: remove weeds, remove dead grass, and add beauty bark. Alvin's wasn't the cheapest; however he was by far the most professional and his price was only a little above the best price we received. I ultimately decided to go with my gut and chose Alvin as I felt he was the most honest and had the knowledge and experience. Alvin kept in contact with me leading up to the date to confirm everything, which is appreciated. The crew came on time to start work and after everything was said and done, we were very happy and impressed with the work that was done. They went above and beyond and even trimmed up our bushes so everything looked even and well manicured. I would definitely work with him and his crew again. I wish I took before pictures so people could see the magnitude of our "hot mess" of a yard and the finished product after Alvin and his crew worked their magic. read more

Alvin's Landscaping - Weeds were removed, bushes trimmed, and beauty bark added. Fantastic job! - Landscaping Near Me - Tacoma, Washington

We moved into our house with a backyard resembling a jungle--weeds everywhere, no lawn, old, cracked patio, and with little privacy. Alvin came within a week to complete an estimate and was honest and clear with how long the work would take and gave his very helpful suggestions to help make our yard into a lovely space. The outcome was even better than we expected. He kept in communication with us when there was any hesitation on exactly what we wanted. The quality of the work was always exceptional, it was done in a timely manner, and in a few instances they went above and beyond what we had agreed to in the estimate. We had spoken to several landscape companies prior to hiring Alvin and without a doubt he was the most reasonable, knowledgeable, friendly, and clear with the work he would provide. We will definitely be hiring Alvin and his team for all of our landscaping needs going forward and have already recommended him to family and friends. HIGHLY recommended! read more

Our yard had gotten a little out of control and required multiple tasks to be completed to restore it and prep for fall/winter. We hired Tony and team to beauty bark all beds, remove a quite a few weeds, edging, mowing, limb up a tree, and mimosa debris/patio cleanup. The team came in the afternoon one day for the bulk of the work and then the next afternoon to lay all the beauty bark. They made quick work of a project that would have taken my husband and I multiple weekends to complete, and since I had a broken wrist I was happy to have the fast, quality service of Tony's team to get our yard back on track. Our neighbor immediately commented on how great things looked after it was all done. Thanks team!! read more

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Alvin and his crew. I had a teeny tiny job, but with my poor health and my husband's new overnight work schedule it just couldn't get done. A few contractors even turned it down, but Alvin was enthusiastic about it even though it was so small. Not only did he provide the best bid he was also the most personable landscaper I met with. I had to be patient while he worked me in to their busy schedule, but I expected that anyway and he was very upfront with the wait to begin with. His crew was polite, easy to work with, fast, and did a great job on the project. There was no mess afterwards, either! I will definitely call on Alvin for my next project. Thank you so much! read more

I found Alvin to be knowledgable, helpful, reasonable, fair, funny and quick! I appreciate his ability to work within my clients time frame. He was quick with an estimate, did the work wonderfully & professionally and made himself available for all phone calls. I would work with him again in a heartbeat. I am selling my home and my back yard was a complete mess, from a grove of bamboo that spread from my neighbor to the blackberry infestation from hell. We'd also had chickens up until a couple of months ago.. The front needed curb appeal. Tony showed up, looked at what needed to be done and gave me what I considered an extremely fair estimate right there before he left. We set a date for the work to begin and they were here that morning ready to go. They took July 4th off, but they were back on the 5th to finish. He and his crew spent two days fixing everything I wanted and making the place pop. Worth every dime I paid him and his crew HIRE THIS GUY!!!! read more

I am extremely pleased with the work Alvin's Landscaping did at my home. Alvin responded almost immediately to a request for a bid on my retaining wall replacement, and offered a very reasonable price. He and his crew worked extremely hard for three days in a very narrow space to replace a long railroad tie wall between my fence and hedge. He even re-designed the retaining wall to protect the roots of the hedge. In the front yard, they took care to protect tulips and other plants while raising the soil level in my garden. Both walls look great. They even planted grass seed on the bare spots in my lawn as well as where they had moved and stored materials. Highly recommended. read more
