Andy Williams just finished up removing a fallen Big Leaf Maple tree from my back yard. They did a fantastic job bucking the tree into small rounds that I can easily split and use for firewood. Williams felled trees on about an acre of my property 10 years ago. They were so fantastic to work with that I hired them again recently. Mike was quick to return my call and set up an estimate. I got 3 different quotes and Mike was the best. Not only that, but once I emailed a picture of the tree I wanted removed, e dropped his quote by $50. He was also able to fit me in the next day. Hired Mike for two projects. Believed we had a mutually agreed upon verbal contract as to what we wanted done. Price was twice as much as we had paid in the past for the same work but felt Mike had a better plan on how to do it. Mike arrived late, gave his crew quick orders, some of which didn't match our agreement. Then left. His crew was polite and co-operative but were following Mike's instructions. Being retired and on a fixed income made it difficult to pay Mike's fees and not get the work done as we had agreed. Be sure to have a very, very detailed written estimate before the work is done, be on-site to supervise the work being done and expect delays. read more

I used this arborist several years ago to remove a mature sweet cherry tree that had died, and they were fast and efficient, even grinding the stump down to below ground level and hauling away all the wood. You'd never know it was ever there. So when winter windstorms broke up a couple of bigleaf maples in my back yard, leaving one huge branch hung up 20 feet above a hammock, I called them again. The same crew appeared and removed the broken branch plus a huge dying trunk that was poised to fall on two fences that that run along the property line below. As the arborists worked, one guy on the ground kept pointing out dying and at-risk branches in the trees above, so by the time they were finished, my two maples were cleaned up and safe for another few years. My neighbor had used them to remove a giant dead maple tree right next to our fence. I watched as they carefully and meticulously took down the tree. They were very careful not to leave any mess. We checked with several tree removal companies. We had 62 trees we wanted to remove. Mike responded right away to the initial call, came to do the free estimate the same day. We hired him because he knew what he was doing and his price was the most reasonable. He arrived on schedule, on time and worked through the rain with his team to remove the 73 trees (yes he was very flexible as we had originally thought we wanted to remove only 62). He was out to my house in less than an hour. Reasonably priced I was scheduled in fast and he took care of business. I found mike williams on craigslist. He was the first guy that we called. Very nice, courteous, and upfront about what it would cost to take down 1 big tree, grind up 2 stumps, trim some branches, and take down another smaller tree. We had 2 other guys come after him, and they we down right rude and were 500 and 1000 dollars higher that what mike said. they said it was a "hazardardous tree" which is why it was so much more. Obviously we chose mike. I checked him out on washington state's website as well as bbb, and he had good ratings (A- on BBB). This in addition to the fact that he was very upfront and nice sealed the deal for us. We didn't bother calling any other contractors. The day for them work on our backyard. They were here promptly at 930, took the big tree down expertly (all 3 pieces fell in exactly the same place, exactly where they planned them to). they guys all worked well together, and got everything cleaned up by 1245 or so. You would' t know I had and 90+ foot tree taken down after they were done. They left the yard exactly as it was. Cleaned up all the little branches and pieces too. The stumps are nonexistant and the little tree is gone too. Mike was very personable and friendly. Not standoffish like we've had with other contractors. That in addition to his team's A+ work will make him our go to guys again.. i would recommend them over anyone else...He gets extra points for being cute to..lol read more
