It's not really a truck stop, but it is part of a convenience store at a Phillips 66 gas station. The only options for burgers in Waterloo near where we are, are either fast food or Denny's, Applebees, etc. It's a bit of a drive down Rte 3 to Red Bud, but if you want a very good burger at a reasonable price it's worth making the trip.

But Shelly's 'Smashburgers inside Midwest petroleum in Sunset Hills (at the corner of Gravois and Lindbergh across from Sunset Ford) has quickly become my favorite go-to place in the St Louis area for smashburgers. I've ordered delivery from there once and I have eaten there in person once. Delivery from GrubHub was hot and delicious. Ordering and eating moments after preparation whilel the fries and burger was steaming hot. I ordered a Shelly's double burger with cheese with the standard toppings (American cheese, pickles and mustard) and garlic parmesan french fries each time. When I ordered by delivery, I also ordered a second smashburger thinking that the burgers would be small. Regarding visiting the burger place in person. Except for the fresh grill, it's a standard gas station convenience store. There is a small amount of indoor seating however I chose to eat mine in my van so I didn't get good pictures of the smashburgers in the huge amount of garlic parmesan fries that I ordered as a side.
