Food is overrated! Last order my husband and I got shrimp was hard and crawfish weren't as good as I expected

Husband and I have been coming here every other week for about a year or so now, that all stopped after a horrible experience when one weekend we waited 45 min for the waitress to come and tell me that they "ran out" of buffalo shrimp which is all I eat from here and I was 7 mo. pregnant. So then I decided to just order a kids meal chicken strips with fries...another 20 minutes later they "ran out" of fries. I was furious and starving. I said forget it, I dont want anything. Another 15 min later, she brings fries... I was literally about to throw a fit. We haven't been back and probably wont. read more

This was our first time to come here. My hubby ordered the catfish that he said was crunchy and fresh. I got the buffalo shrimp basket and it was really really good. The atmosphere similar to a Hooters type place but more laid back. Sadie was our server and was genuinely friendly and quick. We were a little worried about the reviews for the service, but there was no issue. Would recommend! Great food! Great service! read more

My husband loves crab, so we decided to give this a try. We tried the shrimp, snow crab, and dungeness crab. Everyone really enjoyed the garlic seasoning, but it was a little spicy for "mild heat." My daughter ate a hamburger and it was just okay (Yes, I realize it's a seafood restaurant). It was really dry and not a whole lot of flavor. The staff was friendly, attentive, and helpful. The restaurant was clean with plenty of TVs for current sports events. We will be back! read more

I have been to a different Shell Shack location in the past so I wanted to give the Arlington location a shot - I was not disappointed!!!! I sat at a table in the bar area and Amber waited on me. The drinks that Amber fixed up for me were top shelf and she took great care of me while I was there. The king crab boil I had was really good - I tried the lemon pepper sauce for the first time and it was very good. I will definitely go back - might be back there again tomorrow!!!! read more

Please do not ever go to Shall Shack in Arlington. The portions were not correct. The food was awful! We had to send our food back twice. Not once did the manager come out to apologize for anything. Once we ask to speak to manager to have her explain why we were charged for a 20% service charge on our bill. She had the waiter come out to tell her us to wait 10 min because she was busy. Then she comes out and agin no apology. Then says it's not coming off! Her name is Vanessa and she was very rude ! Very disrespectful! If that's how shall shack conducts business I will not ever go back and I will make sure corporate is aware. I will also make sure my friends and family know about this location. Food horrible, service horrible, the manager worse manager I've ever had to deal with ever in life. Never had a manager not apologize or try to make a situation better. My family and I absolutely enjoy Shell Shack every visit. The service is always great and the food is amazing every time. I just wish that Shell Shack would start serving boiled eggs with their boils! That would make the experience some much better for me and my family. I know other places like Red Claw serve boiled eggs, but i like Shell Shack better, so hopefully they'll start serving boiled eggs very, very soon! read more

Tough shrimp! Terrible service!! Utter disappointment! **On a TUESDAY!!! Patrons beware!! As a true Shell Shack fan, I decided to give this Arlington location a try. To my disappointment, it was very different from my many delicious and positive experiences at the Dallas location. The shrimp was so tough, I likened it to chewing on a tire. I sent it back, which I never do, and the next batch was similar. Not to mention the manager on duty's attitude of inconvenience for my request. In addition to the disappointing food, our waitress left our glasses empty for the latter half of the meal and disappeared. When I finally asked for the check, it took more than 25 minutes to complete the transaction. As I looked around the restaurant, many other patrons were also shaking their heads with frustration and dissatisfaction. read more

I came in today for the first time for lunch and it was super delicious. Our server Crystal was polite and checked on us pretty often which I loved. Even if I don't need anything i love to be checked on because makes me feel like they care. Food was on point. read more

I really enjoyed the seafood. I got the VIP combo with the kitchen sink and mild seasoning. I liked how the waiter put my bib on and gave plastic gloves as soon as our food came. The food comes out in a seafood boil bag and then the waiter empties it into a tray. If you have food leftover they take it and wrap it up. The only thing I didn't like is that to keep my crab legs under one or two pounds they cut some of the legs. The best part was after dinner is there is a hand washing sink that is cool to use. read more

This place is trash! And the waitress was terrible, she never came back to get our refills and when she did, took forever coming back. The food had no flavor at all. We were waiting for over an hour just for our food to have no spice to it. I get it with big groups it might take some time but other large groups who got there way after us, got their food first. I'm struggling to find something positive to comment on. My wife had the Dungeness crab garlic and hot, she liked it. I ordered a burger and fries. When it arrived the fries were at room temperature and then thought ok I'll try the burger and found it over cooked, bit beyond well done. It also was at room temperature as if the plate was sitting a while waiting for my wife's crab to get finished cooking. I slide my plate away from me to the edge of the table obiviousily an issue but it was over 10 minutes before the waitress came back and asked how it was. Two of the managers also walked by and didn't respond to the plate sitting away from the customer. With so much time elapsing before she responded to my flagging, I told her Do not remake the order. We may try them next year or so if the reviews improve. read more

Went last week. I was the only one there at 11:10 am for a few minutes will I waited for my lunch mates. Naquira was my waitress and she was lovely!! So friendly and engaging!! She ended up sitting with me for a few minutes and listened to my story about just getting to hear Jamie Foxx speak at the GPISD convocation. She really was a doll! 2 of us ordered soup, clam chowder and gumbo. They were delicious and the bowl was huge!! Then the 3 of us ordered a burger, the catfish and a chicken something sandwich. We all enjoyed our meals!! Great experience. Fries were eh...but I'm picky. The customer service made up for them!! read more

If you like the boiling crab please don't go here ( Arlingto location) thinking it's comparably close.. we ordered snow crabs, shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn. The food wasn't flavorful at all, so we asked for it to - go and left. Almost certain I won't be back. I haven't tried the Dallas location but I heard from several people that it's really good. So maybe they should have someone from Dallas come show them how its done. read more

I went for lunch hour today, and never even got so much as a glass of water in the 20 minutes I sat there. Had to leave to get back to work. Truly disappointing - the waitress in the pink top today was a thorn in my side. I usually have good experience at this place for lunch, but could not get anyone's attention today, and had to walk out. I'm bummed - the food is great, but when you tell your wait person you're on lunch hour and you need it rushed, and don't get ANY check back, not good! read more

First time here. Great service from our server Jessie. My husband had the catfish I had a 1/2 lb of hot boiled shrimp and broccoli. No complaints . The place is very loud, music, sports on several televisions . They have several selections for crab, shrimp and crawfish. We'll by back. read more

I absolutely love this restaurant!! They are busy so they have a hard time with reservations but regular seating isn't an issue. We called for a party of 16 and were told that despite the no reservation policy at this time we could probably be accommodated. Thankfully, our party was seated in about 20 minutes!! We were so grateful!! Servers were awesome!! Drinks came out quickly. Our group had a great time and all of us have great reviews!! Oysters were amazing. I think we had 12 dozen!! The crab and crawfish was awesome as well! You might have to wait a few minutes for your food to come out when they are busy but it is so worth it! Take your time, have a few cocktails and enjoy the great atmosphere and food. I am now a frequent customer and appreciate the service!! Crab pots are very good, can customize the spice and heat levels. Pricing is a little weird. We wanted to buy a pound of shrimp as it was way less expensive than two half pound orders, but we wanted separate spice levels on each half pound. They would not accommodate. After all the reviews I read over the weekend, I kept putting off trying Shell Shack Arlington because I dislike to pay good money and get bad food. Well I finally tried it as take out on today 4/4/16. Overall it was really good I only had one complaint. I ordered 1 pound of shrimp, 1 pound of crawfish, an order of sausage and an order of potatoes: I got the kitchen sink seasoning with mild heat, this seasoning was so yummy. The shrimp was highly priced but I will say definitely worth it, it was cooked perfect and I felt I got enough. The crawfish was cooked perfect as well. Potatoes were yummy and I received three for the order. My complaint is from the sausage, before I ordered I specifically asked the bartender was it 3 whole sausage links cut up or just 3 pieces of a link he said it is 3 whole links. Well when I got home to Fort Worth and sat down to eat after about 30 minutes I counted and it was 3 pieces of a link cut up well for $3 I don't think this is justifiable that is why I asked before ordering so I feel misled on that. My son had 1/2 pound of snow crab and sausage and he loved both but was disappointed by the sausage as he expected more as well. Otherwise food overall was delicious. read more
