Crab cake Benedict
Charlie W.

Mixed review. It was very hot inside and you could smell strong kitchen exhaust inside the restaurant. The drinks were subpar - I think it is the mixers that they are using. The brunch food, however, was on point. Absolutely loved the crab cake Benedict. Hands down one of the best I have tasted. The other three in my party loved their food too! Country breakfast, chicken and waffles, and regular Benedict were fantastic. It would have been an easy 5 star experience if the non food issues are corrected. Tight parking - there is additional parking a few blocks away.

Been here a few times, and decided to finally give it a review it deserves. Great drinks, quick service and very good food menu. This time I ordered a shiner Cheer because it's the season. And an order of wings which were very good. I've also gotten the bowl of shame before, which was also very good. Glad to have this gem in the neighborhood.

So glad ten bells is back! Just came for brunch for the first time since they reopened and it was just as we remembered, food was amazing and for the price you just can't beat it. Staff is so friendly and atmosphere is super laid back.

Decent dive bar with a good size patio. It has newer floors, doesn't smell, the bar is clean. Bartenders are a little rough.

Atlas Bar - Kitschy as hell!!

Atlas is a funky fun cocktail bar in the Bishop Arts neighborhood in South Dallas. The vibe in…read moreBishop Arts feels authentically urban like a large northern city. It's definitely more delightfully eclectic and kitschy than neighborhoods around Downtown Dallas or East Dallas. Atlas has a funky lounge design that is warm, inviting and screams that you made it out of the house so you're ready to rage. They always have great energy in their music, creative cocktail menu, and food. I had a tasty Sidecar variation called Between Da Sheets (photo 2). They added rum to the classic recipe of cognac, orange liqueur and lemon juice. The rum gave it a bit of a vacationy feel which was nice. It was well-balanced and quite tasty. We highly recommend checking out Atlas next time you're in Bishop Arts and want an elevated cocktail in one of the funkiest spaces in Dallas. Do it!!! Salute @thejohnnycocktail

They banged the whole time , which we didn't know it was them until we opened the door. There was five of us, and once we opened up the door, they were telling us to watch our mouths because I yelled at them asking did they work there , obviously confused what was going on. They then decided to kick us out because we had too many people in the restroom. I only got one of the security guards name his name is Anthony another man in his 40s who had an accent decided to put his hands on me and push me. We were all so confused why we were getting kicked out. I will never be going back! That is absolutely insane. We did not take a long time either and they said it was gonna take too long if we all went together, which makes no sense. We took MAYBEEE 5 to 7 minutes in the restroom. The owner needs to get a grip on his security guards. Especially the ones that look like their on drugs sneaking people in from the back and the one man who put his hands on me for absolutely no reason!!! BEWARE LADIES: You cannot go to the bathroom with anyone or you will get kicked it and man handled !!!

The themed cocktails were creative and fun, and the layout--with three different rooms each playing different music genres--made it feel like a full experience rather than just a bar. That said, while the thought and design were incredibly well done and the drinks were good, the crowd size and some of the behavior allowed is what made the experience feel less than perfect. At times it felt a bit overwhelming and took away from what could have been a really magical night. That said, I would definitely go back. I'm hopeful it was just an off night, because the concept, atmosphere, and effort behind this pop-up are absolutely there. With better crowd control, this could easily be a standout holiday experience.

First of all, the Bishop Arts District itself is incredibly charming. Block after block of unique shops ranging from bookstores and bakeries to candle shops, candy stores, coffee spots, and little boutiques. It's exactly the kind of neighborhood I loveeeee exploring while traveling and if I lived in Dallas, I'd probably frequent this area often. As for The Wild Detectives, the concept alone immediately appealed to me...bookstore meets cafe meets bar meets restaurant. That combination will pretty much always grab my attention. I love to read, I love to eat. The space has a pretty relaxed, community oriented vibe, and during my Saturday morning/early afternoon visit, there were plenty of people working, reading, chatting, and hanging out both inside and on the patio. My one slight disappointment was that the bookstore side itself was smaller than I expected and didn't have quite as extensive a selection as I had imagined. That said, I still managed to leave with a few great additions for my ever growing TBR pile. Overall, this was a worthwhile stop and one I may revisit the next time I'm in Dallas.

I'll be honest, I don't remember exactly what I ordered (lol), but I do remember enjoying the food and the overall vibe, which says a lot. The ambiance is one of my favorite parts--this area is lively, walkable, and full of shops and restaurants all along the same street, making it perfect for a night out or a casual stroll. It's definitely a place I'd bring friends who are visiting from out of state. Great atmosphere, solid food, and a fun neighborhood to explore. I'd absolutely come back again.

They were both attentive to my needs and provided top-notch service. Food: I had a juice shot (non-alcoholic), diet soda and the duck wings which were very flavorful, better than I thought it would be. I couldn't eat too much because I wasn't that hungry so that's all I had there. My favorite part of this restaurant was the decor! Ambiance! It was so beautiful. I've been to Morroco and Casablanca, in particular, and this looked like a republica of the original. It was a Friday night, so the vibes were there. Great Afrobeats music, handsome men everywhere. It became more crowded as the night continued, and it became a all out party/lounge/club vibes. I didn't stay for the turn-up because I was getting tired and had to get up early the next day. 10/10 one hundred percent would recommend and return. It was a super pretty place. A MUST GO!!!
