This was a mixed experience. The service was great our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was good and what you'd expect from a seafood boil spot. As for the food, mine (crab and clams) tasted good, and the seasoning was solid. My boyfriend ordered crawfish and shrimp, and while the shrimp were good, he felt the crawfish had an odd, mushy texture that was off-putting. Unfortunately, we both ended up feeling pretty sick afterward (I had stomach issues, and he got sick vomiting multiple times within an hour), which is why I can't rate this higher. Came in Mother's Day for an early lunch and the service was fast and friendly! We had oysters on the half shell and the boil mild with the kitchen sink seasoning. We also added crawfish for a great price. We could have gone up a level on the spice as there was not really any heat to the mild, but the flavor was good. After a four hour car ride back to Dallas. Shell Shack was a must try, I love a boil, messy and delish. We ordered the VIP kitchen sink, the spice level was perfect. The sausage was nice and juicy and full of flavor, the shrimp perfect in portion. The corn and potatoes are my favorite part. I added my own hard boiled eggs and boy was the sauce perfectly flavored. Sfuzzi's was closed so we came here and the food was solid for what we expected. Garlicky mussels were great. The white wine and butter were stellar. Fried shrimp and oysters; maybe a bit of salt to the batter would help. Crawfish were on the bland side. On an unassuming Sunday this past weekend we decided to give Shell Shack a try for a hankering of crab boil that I had. To start we ordered the side garden salad that was surprisingly big enough for two to graze on. We also ordered as an appetizer the Allegator Tendies...yum!. For my entree I decided on the 1 lb Crab boil with all of the fixings sausage, boiled eggs, corn on the cobb...I was in heaven, for the sauce I decided on the 'Kitchen sink medium. The Mr. ordered the same substituting the crab for lobster. This place has gone downhill. The last few time I ordered crab legs from here, they are still charging the same price but the quality of the crab legs shrunken. They also raise the Dungeness crab from over $20 more. It's a shame this was once a dependable place for me no longer is. read more

My sister had a craving for some seafood so she brought me here to pick up a to go order since she wasn't in the mood for human contact. We ordered the VIP (2 Clusters of Snow Crab & 1lb. of Boiled Shrimp. Served with 2 Pieces of Corn, 3 Potatoes & 3 Grilled Sausage). They were nice enough to let us exchange the sausage for more corn and potatoes since we don't eat red meat. We also got the garlic sauce with our bag and it was definitely delicious and worth the effort. I actually saw a lot of other menu items that caught my attention and gave me reason to come back again on my next trip to Dallas since I'm here pretty often. Just left Shell Shack and can confirm it HIT. I am so glad the Diablo heat level is back, please never take it away again. We got a pound of shrimp kitchen sink, diablo. It was perfect proportion of seasoning and not too oily at all this time. Got 6 lemon pepper wings extra crispy and they were delicious!! I can't ever come here without the buffalo chicken sandwhich idk it hits different with the diablo buffalo sauce as well. We get all of these and share everything, it really is the best. I also love that they play reggae now. Cause duh seafood and reggae just go hand in hand. I do, however, miss the seasoned shaken fries that go with the buffalo chicken sandwhich, though. Let me start off by saying I've been goin to this location since 2018 and Last night was one of the worst experiences I've had. Immediately upon sitting down I noticed that it was a bit warm and a bit stuffy inside almost like there wasn't any air circulating . The bartender came took our drink out while we looked over the menu . We ordered 3 lemon drop shots and my friend ordered an adult strawberry lemonade. Not too long after the drinks were brought out . Instead of telling us we don't have lemon drop shots we were just given Mexican candy shot without notice and the adults lemonade not the limeade was bitter! We wait for 30 minutes while other table were sat and serviced , waiting on our server to return multiple other servers checked on tables around use even looked in our direction with a WORD! Once our server/ the bartender did finally come check on us we placed our orders and he turned around so fast we even have time to Ask FOR WATER, literally had to yell after him even someone from the next table called after him with no luck . After waiting another 15 minutes he brought the appetizers my friend ordered French fries and the other crab tots . The crab tots were nasty clearly frozen and had a fishy smell the portion of fries wasn't enough for a child to eat. Less than 10 minutes after our food came out we all got the mvp same flavor but different add ons . We asked twice to confirm we were given the right bags just to open them and have to switch them because we had one another's food . Before we could even finished the server who we had spent all night chasing down came by with the card reader for us to PAY ! We still had our gloves and bibs on so Ig he decided to come back later . The only reason my friend stayed through all the issues was because to top off it was my birthday and as I mentioned before I been a long time patron .
