The food was good and the vibe on point I'll go back with family just to chill and just vibing

I landed in Dallas, TX around 10:30pm. Was referred here by a stranger at the airport. Came in with my airport clothes on. Was told by security that I couldn't enter due to my slides. I explained to him that I just got into and just wanted to combine out with my cousin. He made an exception for me and let me inside. Got inside was greeted by a server. Got to the bar order my food and a kool-aid. Yes they got kool-aid... Food took about 20 minutes to come out. It was hot and flavorful. That damn fish was the star of the show. I guess it was karaoke night. Watch a couple people do they thing on stage. They even gave somebody a cash price for the best performance. Dope spot. Customer service was on point, food was good, and restroom was clean. I will most definitely be coming back next time I'm in town. S/o to CC and Neicey. read more

Long story short! We had a great experience here at Faye's! I was on the hunt for some fried catfish and after some searching on Yelp, we came across Faye's! We were originally planning on ordering takeout, BUT ultimately decided to order there. When we got there, we assumed that it was takeout only because you order from a takeout window. After talking to an amazing employee we realized it's actually a lounge, equipped with a pool table, full bar, drink specials, and more! We ordered and decided to eat there! I ordered the fried catfish 2pc and had it tossed in their Buffalo lemon pepper! OMG it was so good! I wish I would have gotten the 4pc! My boyfriend enjoyed the burger meal and it was HUGE! It was your classic burger! The star for sure was the catfish! We are definitely planning on going back to enjoy some drinks and try their brisket fries and wings! And before I forget! Tried this location about a week prior. Honestly wasn't sure what to expect after arriving and seeing the set up. I'm glad I tried it! I ordered the fish..I think it's Swai not catfish. I ordered the cheeseburger (with a side of fries) and some buffalo lemon pepper wings, while my husband went for the catfish. We were both impressed. Fries & Wings: The French fries that came with my burger were seasoned perfectly. They tasted just like homemade fries -- crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and packed with comforting flavor. I loved that nostalgic, made-at-home feel! The buffalo lemon pepper wings were good. They had just the right balance of tangy buffalo spice and a zesty lemon-pepper kick. Cheeseburger: The cheeseburger was just as impressive as the sides. It was incredibly juicy, and the bun was soft yet perfectly toasted, holding everything together nicely. If I'm being really picky, I personally would have loved the burger dressing on both halves of the bun instead of just one - but that's just a little personal preference of mine. I love coming to Faye's and love their food but last night around 11:00 the young lady at the bar in a grey set was extremely rude. I put in an order, paid and after 30 mins I asked when would my order be ready which the kitchen never got. That's fine I know mistakes happen but after an hour of waiting I just asked for a refund to which she said she would "if I can find it". I was so happy with my first visit. Second time I tried new idea of calling my order in and they forgot part of my order. They did compliment me with a koolaid cup. They did suggest trying Uber eats and there I go trying that method. Still forgot one of my fish orders. And not sure if they changed the cook but my food was not as tasty as the first two times. Really liked it the first time was disappointed because the first time I walked in there and was so happy. Second time good was missing but the flavor made up for it. Third time I was missing food and the flavor was not as good. I always get here in a hurry because of my schedule. I am hoping that if I do decide to come back it is a better visit read more

i dont really care for a catfish I was raised on fresh, caught fish out of the rivers of Texas. However, the catfish plate at fayes fusion is absolutely amazing. This is more of a positive and a negative review, but over all positive. I popped in in the early morning hours and was surprised they was open so late. I was saved from getting a 7 Eleven pizza as that is what tends to be available for me other than Jack in The Box after work at 2-3am. I had their 2 pc catfish plate with fries. I was alarmed at the price, but the price was called "after hour prices". I almost frowned and walked out, but stayed to make an order anyway only because the lady behind the counter was a delightful person. She was very down to Earth friendly. I got my order and took it home thinking I got something mediocre. I was actually shocked. The fish was fried beautifully and seasoned to a unique perfection along with the fries. It was the best catfish I've ever had. With that said, though the price was pretty steep, the taste compensated it. Perhaps I will do it again, but not after hours. The regular price is a couple of dollars above the norm as well, but the fish plate was exceptionally good and can rival and exceed expectations of big restaurant chains. So the only negative really is the price, but still with my opinion, worth the try. Also, I didn't realize this was a hang out joint. The music was a bit loud and really, I just couldn't hear myself talk but I believe it can be a good place to hang out vs Deep Ellum. read more
