I bring all 7 of our cars here for service . Over the last for 20+ years . Quick, efficient, affordable,

Fast, friendly, no pressure. Simple and effective like it should be! Would Definitely return to this location if I weren't moving out of town! read more

I'm not going to lie, the vehicle I brought in was well past the due date for a transmission flush. At one point the car actually stopped moving. These guys care about the customer. The transmission slipping completely gone. I highly recommend these guys if having transmission trouble. They let me know flush may not fix the issue. I counted on their skill and expertise and their Yelp review and they lived up to every expectation. You all are the best. Thank you. read more

Shell Rapid Lube - Oil Change Stations Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

I was shocked to find a quick oil change place with such great yelp reviews but can confirm that this really is the unicorn of jiffy lube stores. Very friendly, professional, detail-oriented technicians who will have you in and out in no time. Yes, they'll instal your own oil filter and oil if you bring them. $30 labor. A steal especially when it's 115 degrees outside. Highly recommended. read more

I wrote my first post 5 years and I still can back up everything I said, we take both of our vehicles here. Gilbert is personable, will diagnosis what your car needs changing and won't pressure you like other places. Thanks for the great service! read more

I was going to give this SHOWPIECE ESTABLISHMENT only 4 stars. They don't rotate tires. but Gilbert and his fine crew are so very courteous, professional, and thorough. And BTW, the price was right. There is a collection of Texaco scale models of every genre in the waiting area.....exquisite, truly. Packed into this Nice glass exhibit case. It was a Texaco station for a minute, as they say. All of this really cool stuff......."excuse me Mark" Gilbert says. "Your vehicle is ready". "Already?, It's only been a very few minutes" Says I. "Yes Sir!" Hmmm..............OK, lets add RAPID to this team's attributes, and award them 5 Stars. Well Done. read more

Very fast! They quoted me an hour and got it done in 30. You're still paying about the same as a dealership just without the hassle of the dealership trying to sell you on all these other things that you "need". read more

Gilbert forgot to install new windshield wipers like I asked him to do, then when I come back the next day, obviously annoyed by this mistake, his response was, "you'll have to wait, I can get you in but it's not like it's raining." No apology whatsoever, and I just don't need a smart ass answer from someone I'm paying to do a job. read more

Gilbert is a gem! He is courteous, and efficient. Never too long of a wait. Longest I have ever waited was a little less than hour. Cute decor and always clean. read more

This place is super fast and has great customer service. Gilbert had us in and to of there in about 40 minutes. His guys noticed I needed a filter during my oil change, he let me know before the changed it out. He also showed me it and why it was bad. Waiting area was clean and welcoming. Thanks for the honest service!! read more

See all

Gilbert is his name! It's the only place I go for an oil change, and was there recently again. I appreciate his kindness and excellent service. read more

Great place for a quick oil change and service. I like going here because the dealerships can't seem to perform a quick oil change. They really understand this is a process that should not take all day. The decor inside is clean with a sorta "Retro" 1950s feel. The displays of the old shell toys and diecast cars really add to the retro feel. I have been to a lot of quick lubes over the years and have had a wide range of experiences of people trying up sale services and have not had that problem here. read more

Fast, convenient and honest. Gilbert is a great guy, always friendly and extremely hard working. No better place to get an oil change or more deserving of your business. read more

Fast, knowledgeable, honest. I have been bringing our cars here for about 5 years, and drive past countless other lube shops to do it. Gilbert is great. My car is done quickly. He lets me know if he finds a problem, and offers a solution. When the filter housing was broken by another shop closer to home, he went out of his way to fix it and did not mark up the price of the housing he had delivered. I was still back on the road in under an hour. read more

I've been coming to this place for about 3 years now. They always do an excellent job. There have been times where I needed a headlight changed or a tail light and they've helped me figure out how to do it. In fact often they just changed it for me. They also helped me with figuring out if I needed to change my cabin air filter. Apparently the car design that I have didn't require one. They've never charged me for any of those things. They're always fast I get in and get out quickly and it's very affordable. I just paid $34 for my last oil change. they do other service on cars and I haven't used any of the other services. But I would definitely trust them. They seem to be very fair and honest. read more

I will never go to this place again, I went there for an oil change on Friday and had my engine light on 2 days later...when I went to my regular mechanic to see what was wrong, we found the oil running black....I spent hours at this place to find out that I was ripped off read more

Gilbert and Ramon rock! My family and friends have been coming here for years and I still come here for oil changes even though I live about 15 miles away! This is a case of "why fix what aint broke!?" I do tend to always stick with what works and these guys always take care of me like family. read more

Hands down quickest, very reliable, affordable and trustworthy. Clean waiting area and transparent on pricing and repairs

To the other Yelpers who reviewed this place, THANK YOU! Gilbert and company were a pleasure to work with: the price was right ($29.99 for an oil change my Prius) , the entire shop is spotless (inside the lobby and in the work area), and my car was done in a flash. I could not be more impressed. This has become my new oil change place. No problem. Happy to leave these guys 5 stars. See you soon! read more

Never bring your Mini Cooper to this location. The tech placed the filter incorrectly directly causing engine pressure issues and it cause the engine to seize up. Incompetent employees and bad service. read more

I literary can't believe the highway robbery I just went through, I got a full synthetic oil change and had the air filter changed on my wife's Toyota Corolla. It cost me $95 dollars, WTF is this $hit. I have had this same work done on the car before and only paid $60 for full synthetic and an air filter. $20 for an air filter is ridiculous, absolutely god awful ridiculous. Oil change was $65 alone, I never paid more than $45 for full synthetic with valvoline or quaker state oil. This guy used shell oil, their oil isn't even all that great. Never coming back here again and I definitely don't recommend it. What I was charged was definitely not what I saw on the pricing options board in the shop. read more

I can really appreciate this location and its location in Maricopa. This shop is quick, and I never have to question their integrity when I need help with my car or a simple oil change. It's hard to come by honest mechanics, and that's why I want to recommend this shop to everyone. No bull when you come to rapid lube. read more

Bait and switch prices!! $55 dollars for a oil change, no thanks! And the place and old man was creepy.

I came to this shop after reading the great reviews. It was definitely everything that everyone said. Great service, very professional techs and fast. I will be coming here on a consistent basis. read more

I needed my oil change before I headed home in Northeastern Arizona. They were really fast and reasonably priced and did a great job.

Quick excellent service, and friendly technicians keeps me coming back to this location.

I've been here a few times, never had issues but I'm a bit disappointed today. Anytime I've had an oil change, they've done an inspection, told me what needs attention. They balance my tires. Today, they only changed my oil. They didn't even balance my tires. When I asked what came up during the inspection, they said "nothing". If I wanted a cheap $15 oil change, I'd simply get that. I won't bother coming here again. read more

This was the best oil change experience I've had. Everything was straightforward. No price gimmicks or coupons, no heavy pressure upselling. The price was explained clearly up front, service was fast, friendly, and to the point. Loved it! read more

Definitely going to be coming back....Gilbert said 45min to service my ride and it was done 45 on the dot! Great service, friendly, honest, straightforward, did not try and get one over on me like some mechanics ive dealt with before read more

My fourth visit to this location it is by far the most professional fast place I have ever had an oil change great service great prices

Gilberto is awesome! I've been bringing my cars here for 10 years. I've gone through many cars and have moved farther away, but I continue to come back! He is always honest and never pushes other things my car may need. He also has a great sense of humor and is friendly. Today, he even offered to fix my broken door handle using one of the back door handles! Just so nice! read more

Here's the dish: Gilbert and crew are awesome and fast. Getting an oil change here is like getting a sandwich at Jimmy John's. One minute you place your order the next minute it is done. I came to Shell Rapid Lube when I desperately needed a new oil change place close to home and looked to Yelp for good reviews. These guys truly know their stuff and their prices are comparable. I used to go a place called Superstition Springs car wash etc on Gilbert and the 60. They were okay but the free car wash was why I went. Then they changed owners a couple times and now its a $3 car wash. Then I went to a place I will not name that did a good job on my brakes on my previous car. The last time I went to this unnamed place they told me all my fluids were drained. Wtf? How can that be? There's been no puddles under my car and I keep it parked in the same spot at work and home. That's when I checked with Yelp and started frequenting Shell Rapid lube. Just yesterday I went for a fuel injector service (my baby is almost 10 years old). Gilbert asked if I wanted an oil change too as its due in 400 miles, I decided to go for it. When all was said and done 40 minutes later Gilbert let me know I might want to get a new battery sooner than later (I had been suspecting as much) and he said Wall Mart has good prices. I took Gilbert's suggestion and got a new battery at Wall Mart today for about $100 with a 5 year warranty. Thank you Gilbert for being an honest mechanic and one of the good guys. They really do exist! read more

Service was extremely fast and the guy there seemed friendly enough. So why only 3 stars.... Well when he pulled up my vehicle information he said he was out of that oil in conventional but he did have it in synthetic.... Just felt a little too convenient for them... But to sum it up they got me in and out and for someone in a hurry you can't go wrong read more

Been going here for 3 years now. Gilbert is a great guy and does fast work. I had a power steering leak at one point that leaked onto the skid plate. While it was off Gilbert went and hosed it all down just because. I bring my own oil (Mobil 1) and filter (Royal P)so they only charge $20 still comes out to $30-35 less then my last time at jiffy ($92ish, my reason for looking else where). read more

Went in for a simple oil change, came away with a air filter housing broken and my windshield fluid tank cracked. When I asked to the gentlemen who helped me to speak to the manager, he told me he was the manager. So I asked to talk to the GM , he said that was him as well. I said if I want to file a complaint about what just happened, he told me that he was the only person to complain to. No head quarters, no website.. He sorry the got broken but it wasn't them. Do NOT use this place for anything!! If something goes wrong you have no way to get help. read more

Pulled up at 5:15 for an oil change with 2 cars ahead of me, and close time at 5:30 and the guys still took my car in. I've been coming back every 3,000 miles since 2014 def my spot. The guys here will def take care of you. read more
