BEWARE...I was going to BIG O tires for oill change, l were too busy, so I went down the street to this place and they were open for about another 30 min. there stood Sam, who was very helpful and sweet, I asked if they could change my oil, synthetic blend, for $53, (the coupon price I had with me) he said he would do even one better (since I was a new customer), he was going to take off $26 the synthetic blend. He then walked away and returned and said, I'll go ahead and throw in the full synthetic, all went well, finished, until he asked how much was I going to pay in cash, he had to have it first, I gave him $28 he needed that first. He then came back with the credit card printer in hand and told me $49, I thought that was the total amount for the oil change which included the $26 dollar discount. He asked did I want the receipt printed or in my email, I told him to email it, (still didn't get it in my email) As I pulled away my Bank popped up showing $49.11. I called him immediately and asked if he forgot my discount?? He said, no, I gave it to you. So I went in for a $53 dollar oil change and was told that I would be taken care of and I ended up paying $77.00 oil change. I should of stayed at BigO tire. I hesitated on posting this but we have 4 more cars we are getting oil changes on and tire rotations since we just rolled in town from Cali and was looking for a local place we could adopt as our " go to shop" for minor car maintenance . The world revolves around reviews so I just wanted to share the "ol' bait and switch" that caught me off guard. The upsell was a surprise, sorry but we won't be going back. if I could give negative stars I would. took my car here to get an overall inspection to see what needed to be done on it and they said I needed so much work done. they said I needed a whole new evap system for $900 when all I needed was a new gas tank lid. they said I needed a timing belt which according to the car fax had been done already. my airbag light was on and they said it would turn off when th me evap system was replaced and those two aren't connected at all. they charged me $180 for the inspection that was basically worthless because they were so dishonest. I will NEVER go here again as they were dishonest, and tried to charge me so much money on things that didn't need done. They also tried to charge me $900 for new front struts and the other mechanic charged me $480 for the same work. Unbelievable. Dishonest. Never go here. read more

I sent my daughter to this location to get a tire checked after we were told by another shop (Discount Tire) that there was a nail in it. We had just bought two new tires back in December. When she arrived, they told her the issue wasn't a nail at all--but that the other two tires were "falling apart" and needed to be replaced immediately. They even told her it was unsafe to drive on them. Concerned, she agreed and had two new tires installed that Saturday. She drove around all weekend without any issues or warning lights. But on Monday, the low tire pressure light came on. I told her I'd take the car to work, since there's a Discount Tire nearby that fills up tires for free. While there, they immediately told me--yes, there is a nail in the tire. I took the car back to Express Tires during lunch, and that's when one of the workers said, "Oh, you're the car we replaced the wrong tires on." Then he said he'd get the manager. The manager told me they realized the mistake on Saturday night but never called me. When I asked why, his answer was, "We were supposed to call you today but got busy." At 12:20 PM--with no other cars in the bay. So, they scared my daughter into replacing perfectly fine tires, didn't fix the actual problem, and then didn't bother to notify us when they realized their mistake. Based on this experience, I highly recommend getting your tires serviced elsewhere. This place is either careless or shady--maybe both. read more

This location put my oil filter on so tightly that no quick change oil shop I could find was able to remove it. I eventually found a mechanic that was able to get it off but they had to break the oil filter housing. The oil change at Express Oil Change is expensive enough without having to pay a mechanic $300 to fix their mistake. My bro brought his SUV in for a quick oil change and they told him his Toyota Sequoia badly needed a serpentine belt. It was a simple replacement so we approved the work. Next day, all kinds of squeaking from the belt. Called them and the tech said it was possibly a "cat" in there. Bro wasn't amused (assuming the the guy was joking). Took it back and 10 minutes later said it was "done". It still squeaks in the morning for at least the 1st 15 minutes of operation and it's loud as shit! I've never heard squeaking before this. Came in for an oil change tonight and left feeling scammed and taken advantage of. While in my car I agreed to an $88 oil change and a new filter for $44. I was asked to leave my car with little communication and had to find somebody after 20min because I did not know what was going on. When time came to pay, I was very surprised to hear that my total was $228!!!! Apparently there was a $99 charge for "fuel system cleaning" that no one bothered to ask me about! Never again! Gave me a free oil change for the inconvenience. Mike was very helpful throughout the process and there was another guy who's name I can't remember but he was helpful with information regarding the other issues my transmission was having due to having owned a jeep with the same issues before. Came in for an oil change and it was about 10 mins, if not faster! The technician, Brian, was transparent about their service time and standards. The semi-synthetic oil blend was valvoline brand and great quality. They also were honest about cars that have high mileage, such as mine how often the oil should be changed and paramount deadlines to get that done. To law enforcement/ military, they do give discounts so it was nice to know I got a great deal and good value for my time and money. The windshield wipers were also a good brand, and good thing it was offered at a good price and installed in about 5 mins. My previous wiper blades came clean off and I'm glad Brian pointed that out! They worked on my car and said he'd credit me the $20 inspection, he never did. 2nd car he worked on, reminded him that he needed to credit me the $20 inspection fee, then he started abrasively arguing, and eventually gave in. Then I had to go back again coz there was still a leak, and I asked if I could see the issue under the car, and the manager-estimator abrasively and angrily tells me to go back in the waiting room, be more patient and trust him more. The irony... Interestingly, I started calling other mechanics, first mechanic said, "You're welcome to checkout the car while it's on the rack if you want, we don't hide anything." I'll be going with that company, never coming back to express ever again. Stay away from this place, very shady and very abrasive customer service from the manager-estimator. read more

The absolute worst! Went for an oil change and left spending 600 bucks. When they opened my hood my radiator hose was leaking from the T, the mechanic told me if I wanted to know what was wrong with it it would be 20 dollars more so I agreed. I walked back to work and waited till I received a call from the manager. He had told me I needed to replace all 3 pieces as they didn't know which hose was cracked and all the pieces were worn due to us living In Arizona and the excessive heat exposure. I asked him how much would it be to replace just the hoes that was cracked he said 89.50, then asked him how much for labor he said 130 for all three pieces but 117 a "discounted" price for just one hoes. I was stunned and went silent, he then proceeded to try and sympathize with me about how he himself feels the impact of the economy and how a dollars doesn't go as far as it used to and said we could hold off on the filters and just fix what I could afford as I told him I could get the rest done in Cali from my pop who is my regular mechanic. After that he calls back 10 mins later and he tells me I made a mistake and said that they couldn't replace only the cracked one as they didn't know which one was cracked ? How did they not know which one was cracked when I payed for them to see what that problem was ? I then said I just want to replaces the hoes that cracked he then told me they couldn't and the whole thing needed to be replaced as they could crack soon and they most likely wouldn't make it out to cali. I then asked if the reason the whole thing needed to be replaced was because it came together as one whole piece or if it was 3 different pieces and he didn't even know! At this point I was furious and he and I were getting no where ! After everything was said and done went to pick up my car and asked for the old parts and to my surprise three different pieces and THERE WERE NO CRACKS IN EITHER HOSE ! All that was needed was the pipe clamps and maybe the T piece in the middle needed to be replaced everything else in perfect condition. I then asked the manager what was the reason the whole thing needed to be replaced all he could say was that they could key word COULD crack at any time, I then said "I told you I have a mechanic who was going to replace them" All that was needed was to replace the leaking hose when in fact there was no cracks! Over all the worst possible place I've could've gone, they see a girl dressed up in business attire and take advantage of her I asked all the right questions and still got screwed all because my hands were tied and I was out of options, absolutely pathetic manager doesn't even work on the cars and is giving out mechanical advice! 0 FUCKEN STARS !!!! read more

When he returned home I saw he paid around $87 for the oil change, but when I looked at my reminder sticker it was said I would be due in another 3k miles! For $87 I would have expected full synthetic oil which lasts 7.5k miles. The shop I usually go to charges just that for full synthetic on my vehicle, I just didn't have time to run to the other side of town. Giving them 3 stars because my husband said service was good but I do feel like they charge too much for an oil change that is only going to last 3k. read more

I've been going to this location for oil changes and minor maintenance on my car for years. Usually always positive. However, today just showed they are typical of most care maintenance chains. Up sale and tell you so much is wrong and scare you into spending more $ I came in around 9 or so in the morning, a bit busier than normal, few cars ahead of me, no worries, man greeted me and I told him what I needed, oil change and a tire rotation. My spot came up and I told the technician what I needed and he said we can do that and a car inspection, maybe around 40 or so minutes, fine. I proceeded to watch my car on the rack, with no tires on it for over an hour and nobody telling me anything and seeing not action performed on my car! Not until I asked a manager (guessing) what is happening, he said "oh someone will tell you what's going on in a moment." Maybe 10 minutes later, another entirely different technician, who was not working on my car said "you need, new tires, new brakes and a tune up." Showed me the tires, they looked a bit worn, but in need of new tires. Charged me $77, after waiting over an hour and a half. Last time using this chain, next! read more
