I don't know about other people, but I love the service I get from this company. Jose Perez and David Martinez are fantastic. They took care of our job and went even further to correct problems with our fireplace connections and they replaced connections that were done incorrectly and could've caused problem for us. Thank you guys. read more

Sheldon Gas Company - David and Jose - Propane Near Me - Suisun City, California

We had no problems with Sheldon gas company until today. When I set up my account I made sure it was set to "WILL CALL" for service. Since this isn't our main home we rarely need service and guess what happened today .... Suddenly my account is changed to their scheduled delivery and they delivered propane when I NEVER REQUESTED nor do I need it. I call them and the only thing they could say was that I changed it back in April. I never requested this change and now I'm stuck with a bill that I didn't need. Unprofessional and I feel taken advantage of. read more

Since surperior bought out Sheldon the service has become terrible last load from them going to hunt and sons Sheldon was a really good company to deal with to bad surperior screwed it up read more

Superior has driven this co. To the ground. No service, I have 3 tanks and it takes 3 different trips to fill them. I can't even contact them to come and remove their tank as they have no service. read more

I've had Sheldon Gas since 1975, they have always been great. Never had to worry about running out of propane 'cause they always "topped off" when they were in the area. Since they sold to Superior Plus, they took me off of auto delivery and neglected to tell me that I now had to call in for deliveries. When I ran out of propane and called them to get a delivery, they said to expedite would be an additional $150 or else it would be within 48 hours. I said I would be fine waiting up to 2 days. Three days later, still no propane. I called again and was told it would take 7 to 10 days unless I wanted to pay $300 to expedite a delivery. She also said she was trying to reach dispatch and would call me with an eta. Needless to say, I never received a call. VERY DISAPPOINTED with the new ownership. read more

We had a Sheldon Gas rep contact us to review what appliances are used for propane. This was due to a change in our normal usage. They had a service tech come by immediately who found a small leak in a gas line to put A/C unit. Together with the local company who installed the A/C unit, they joined up to coordinate a quick repair and restored out heat to our home. Totally helpful and professional service. read more

We have been with this company for a few years. Sheldon was bought out by Superior Plus Propane. As soon as that happened the customer service went down the toilet. Every time I call the phone rolls to a call center. The agents at the call center are terribly unfamiliar with the area and cannot answer basic questions. I am taking my business elsewhere. I feel very sorry for the long time employees at this place. read more

warning when you return your tanks to Sheldon they do not credit you for any gas left in your tank as it's too expensive for them to measure , I wonder if they measure it before they sell it to us since they're giving us the business after they take our money ? don't trust them as I did and find out the hard way !! read more

absolutely terrible service. Almost feels like im getting scammed when I try and talk to someone. Very unprofessional on the phone and there website doesn't have any maintenance done to it ever. Cant utilize the online fuel delivery either. They never let you know when they are going to be arriving ever! So you may miss the guy. Its also annoying that they go inside your home to check to make sure your stove etc.. works. read more

Does anyone even work in the office? Can't get a hold of anyone. It just rings and rings. We are currently customers switched to them about six years ago never had issues till now when I'm trying to get ahold of a live person. I wanted to give them more business but unfortunately I had to go elsewhere. read more

I should not give them any stars at all...We've been customers over 22 years, when they were a family run business...once they got bought out, service and office workers have evaporated...we were on an automatic payment plan and our payments were being taken from our bank but not posted to our account...so with that came no deliveries and over the holiday weekend, we ran out of gas...during a storm we have no heat or hot water and the call back from the emergency department has yet to be made...we keep getting the run around even after they admit the problem started on their end...We're now calling other companies to switch over service because this company has gone down the drain!!! read more

Nearly worthless at giving out information over the phone. Called asked about getting tanks recertified. They said they did. Asked the price, $25. Told them I was headed their way from 20 miles away..... Called when I arrived, was told I needed an appointment to have a tank recertified after driving all the way there with a trailer with 2 100lb tanks in the back. What a waste of time and money. read more

I was content with the service until I recently had them install a new tank at a recently remodeled in law unit. They need to hook up the stove. The techs dragged the stove into the spot from the middle of the kitchen. Leaving deep scratches in the brand new bamboo floor. I contacted the office immediately. Jackie in the office contacted the tech who flat out lied about him not moving the stove. Jackie then asked in a sarcastic tone "so what do you want us to do replace your floor? " I called allied gas and got a better deal no tank rental for 2 years and $1.80 a gallon. Good ridens sheldon... read more

When the fires happened in our area luckily my house was the only one saved on our street but we did have to have the gas line replaced due to it collapsing because of the heat. Jackie is who we dealt with at the office and she had the best costumer service. So helpful! Way to go Sheldon gas, way to put your customers first! read more

They just keep getting more expensive to me. when first moved to vv 18 yrs ago they were the service providers. for 4 yrs i was under 20 a mnth then it went to 50 i added another tank smaller for the back house. went up to 80 for 2 yrs then 140 i was like wait. called and they said we still are the cheapest it has gone up a little but once you catch up in payments it will go down. i was catch up but it automatic. yes but you have been using more gas. my kids moved out and it went up to 180. i called again oh ya just get it paid and we will see. so i said no i want it back to at least 90 a mnth i cant afford 180. she reassest and put it at 115 i paid it off i am actually -380 and still being charged 115 amnth i asked her why she said going off past payments and nothing they can do cause it is through superior now and i have to ask them. wtf read more

We have used Sheldon gas for almost 17 years & they (usually spoke with Jackie) have ALWAYS been extremely friendly & easy to deal with! Called today to cancel our service due to moving & don't require their services any longer! I am sure that the new buyers will be pleased with the service that they get from them! Thanks Sheldon for the great service all these years! read more

Wish I chose this company when we first moved in. They came out today short notice and got our gas up and running. Also found and fixed a gas leak. By far a 10 in my book. Highly recommend this company. read more

This company is a disgrace. for one water heater they charged my brother a fortune. When I asked is there could be a leak, I was told no way. Then recently they found a leak that could have cost lives. Stay away from this bullshit company! read more

We cancelled after years of terrible customer service, specifically the "manager" Joan. This woman is rude and condescending, and doesn't communicate well at all. What we thought would be a great family owned & local company, lost our business because of this woman. We went to pro-gas and couldn't be happier! Plus, we've saved a ton of money! read more

Super helpful. Super responsive. They even helped me move an old propane tank and ran all new gas lines under my house too hook up additional gas appliances. Their pricing seems in line with the other propane suppliers based upon the time of year and supply and demand (Propane tends to be more expensive during the winter months). I'm a happy customer! read more

Terrible company. They force you to buy their gas even after you request several times to stop service and to remove the tank. Still waiting for them to remove their tank after more than 6 months of writing request. Owner Joan very unprofessional and become screaming when I requested to stop service and remove the tank again. I would never recommend this company. They do not know about costumer service. Very unprofessional and they do not care about their clients. It took them months to come to find out if there was a gas leak. They should have their license removed. read more

This business is the best. Jackie is so helpful and goes out of her way to give the best service ever! We are very happy with our propane and our propane accessories. read more

this is the worst customer service ever! Jackie laughs while defending their high prices and defending their pathetic "service" I highly recommend doing business with ANYONE but them! There prices are over $100 more than other companies. DON'T USE THEM! YOU'LL REGRET IT read more

I had the "keep it topped off" plan and the service was good. Never ran out. I recently switched to Allied Propane as the prices are much cheaper. Interesting comment from another reviewer about the lady laughing. The first person I talked to when I called to cancel my service and have them pick up their tank also chuckled when i told her I switched. read more
