Carwash prices

This is "Leisure Town 76" at the major junction of I-80 x Leisure Town Road in Vacaville. This gas station has a prime location near the freeway ramps of Interstate 80 and the Kaiser Medical Center across the freeway. As soon as you exit I-80 East, you're looking right at this 76. That probably explains the higher prices for gas and items in the Food Mart. This is a multi-feature gas station with gas, food mart, McDonald's, and a car wash. The idea is to snag the business of the traveler, out of town visitor, or just locals who like the convenience of everything in one place. I was there a few days ago, and the gas station was very clean. The attendant was out walking the grounds checking on things. Gas was at $4.59/gal on Oct 14, and that's about 20 cents higher than what I pay back home. The squeegee tubs were full of fresh soap and there was a squeegee at each pump. The islands are well lit, and the area seems safe at night. Based on the other reviews, it sounds like someone manages this station closely, which is good and bad. If you need gas, and don't want to see what else is available, there's always "Leisure Town 76."

I have used this car wash a few times with my truck. Never a problem. It normally does a decent $6.99 wash. On Thursday, Sept. 6th, 2023, that all came crashing down. I paid the $6.99 to run my black 2012 Grand Sport Corvette through there. About halfway through the wash, I noticed that the brushes were whipping around on my car, but there was no soap suds. I realized that the brushes scrubbing my car were completely dry. There was no water running in the car wash. When the wash ended, I immediately looked at my car and was horrified to find every inch of my car completely scratched. It looked as though my car was 'washed' with sandpaper. I tried to speak with the owner. He initially refused to look at my car or even look at his car wash and immediately said I was just trying to scam him, calling me a crook. Only after he saw that I was warning his other customers about his car wash, he came out and looked at my car. He ran his own truck through his wash and the same thing happened. No water. It is all recorded! He continued to call me a 'crook' and said: "I should just go to Hell." He claimed "I was well known in town for running scams." He was mad I started to record everything. I recorded his malfunctioning car wash and his malfunction response. None of the things he claims are true. Today is Monday, Sept 11th. I just got my car back from trying to get all of the scratches out. After $1000 out-of-pocket detail repair attempt, the detailer can't get it. The car needs a new paint job. The beginning estimate is $15,250, not including the stripes or the $1000 I am already out. I returned to the car wash after getting my car back. This time, the water was running, and the brushes were wet, even though I saw no one use the car wash. The owner saw I was out there, and again refused to acknowledge the difference between Sept. 6th when there was no water and Sept.11th, when there was water running. The owner of the car wash still refused to give me any of his business license or insurance information, claiming he has none. Again, he told me I didn't have permission to record anything. What he is upset with is my documentation. Horrible human being. He knows his machine severely damaged my car and refuses to take any responsibility at all. See you in court!

$6.99 wash often doesn't do underbody wash.

Car wash sucks! They sell you $6.99 wash and when the underbody wash (what I want) doesn't work want to give you a $1 back/off. Get it fixed!!!

I forgot to post this review last week as I was headed back to Red Bluff from the Bay Area. I…read moreneeded gas and usually I'd stop at the Costco gas station cause of the cheapest prices, but no way I wanna wait in long lines in the middle of the day. Fast on and off the 80 freeway is what I needed. Plus Chevron always has a nice little store, clean restrooms and mostly has what Costco gas lacks, windshield cleaning supplies and squeegees. Windshield is a mess after leaving it parked for almost a week while I went on field location work sites. Just pulled off at the 505 freeway exit and took the first exit instead of going on to the 505. You can see the Chevron station right there. Pulled in and used the credit card no prob. The card readers work perfect, none of this multiple tries like some of those cheaper off brand sketch stations. There's even a car wash here if you need that. Pop Eye's fried chicken is next door if fried chicken is what you need! Gas pump work perfect and no spilled gas. I got my windshield all cleaned, wow that makes a difference! OK, I'm outta here and back onto the 505 headed north. Prices aren't the cheapest, but worth it for the nicer station and full service store. Yeah, I got some Coke and Funyons for the road!

I often drive to Elk Grove/ Laguna West and sometimes stop here for gas. Usually its ok but this last visit was a little worse than normal - I think because I was in my CDI Mercedes diesel. They serve b20 here - and for those that don't know what that means - its a bio diesel blend that is 20% bio - that stuff is usually very very cheap - and the fuel here was $1 more expensive than a diesel #2 spot that was just 20 miles further down the road. Believe it or not I don't drive my CDI all that much... maybe 1000 or 2000 miles a year - I just have more interesting cars to drive. I love my CDI and it gets 45 miles per gallon and in style and comfort - but usually it just sits in the driveway. Because of that I really have concern for the type of fuel that sits for a year at a time - I as I can get nearly 1000 miles out of a tank - that means my fuel sits for a year before I refuel. Bio tends to grow slime and ruins the fuel system - I don't like that. I suppose the worst part is they charge top dollar for what I believe to be worse quality than diesel #2. Bio does have the benefit of great lubricity - so if you go through your tanks fast and use anti gel in the winter b20 should be fine. I prefer hot shots everyday additive and diesel #2 - trust me I did the research - you might want to look into it yourself.

Early Saturday morning as I was heading to the Sacramento Valley national Cemetery in Dixon to put flags on the graves of fallen soldiers and honor our veterans who so valiantly served our country. I looked up and noticed I needed gas. At first I was going to stop at Arco. Then I would prefer to go to a gas station that has a better fuel my hard earned money. ***. (It really pisses me off because I literally made a complete U-turn just to support his business.)*** I walked in the store and said good morning. He was not a morning person I had to the freezers in the back to grab a Starbucks iced coffee and a bottled water. I looked over my shoulder to see if he was going to say good morning or if he was just watching me as if I was going to steal something. And of course he was watching to see if I was going to steal something. I brought my items to the front for immediately and kept the smile on my face so that I could be completely disarm to let him know that I was an actual friendly person. ***That absolutely made no difference*** He asked me if that was all in a very thick accent with a very abrasive tone. Like I was getting on his nerves or something by just being alive I said this will be all thank you very much. He screamed, YOU PAY! He practically startled the wig off my head. I immediately grabbed my credit card and swiped it on the machine at the register. It did nothing. No beep or anything so I gently leaned in because I am only 5 feet tall it and adjust the monitor toward me so that I can make sure that I did it correctly. He screamed again YOU DONT TOUCH! With an even louder voice. I stammered, I'm sorry but I couldn't read it. He insulted me instantly and started yelling again IT NOT MY FAULT YOU CAN NO READ!! .. and I said wait a minute, I can read. The resolution is so low on your machine it makes it hardly legible and I have to be able to see the amount that I'm paying. YOU PAY AND LEAVE! I was so disheveled. I felt so attacked. His machine is old and slow so much so that he accused me of my credit card not going through and then I told him... Maybe you're the one that can't read. It says APPROVED on the screen. This is the gas station from hell.
