I work on Travis AFB and searched for affordable, safe storage within a 20 mile radius. I ended up storing my goods here from 2020-2025. I chose this location based on price, safety, size, location and customer service. I had a smaller unit at first and moved into a larger one and the staff was very attentive to my needs. Overall, SS Unlimited was fantastic. The hours were great, clean, pest free, safe and priced to beat the competition. You can expect no problems with flooding, damage to goods and friendly check in/out with no hidden fees. I highly recommend especially for anyone stationed at Travis AFB. This location is very close to base and easy to access and get your truck and trailer into. Super convenient and you won't find better prices in the area. read more

I thought this was a nice place until , one day I was organizing to make room, a lexus drove up , stopped and man got out and started asking about my car and year, then he follows me into my unit , I asked him if he was the owner he said yes and his name is James so he began looking around investigating he saw that I had a very small oil leak from that i was not aware of I told him I would take care of it , so he started taking pics of unit , then called me so unit could be inspected at a later date, I came out and cleaned, he thanked me ,but I knew I had to leave this place ,when I did leave his employee said everything looks good will have your deposit, then James calls me and says I will not be receiving my deposit, this man will harass you to no end stay away from this place, this man is over the top, probably watches cameras from his home , should get a life. read more

THE OWNER IS AN EXTREMELY RUDE GENTLEMAN that is unwilling to listen to you as a paying customer. He will talk over you & does not have the ability or attitude that an owner should have! now NEW These people suck, the owner is a control freak just trying to gouge people out of anything he can. I have been there for over five years and what happened to me was a biodegradable bag fell apart in my unit which means it fell apart into dust. This manager said he doesn't know what biodegradable is and that he had to hire somebody to come clean up the mess Which I did the best I could, because I forgot to bring a broom, and he had to hire somebody and had to supposedly use some sort of cleanser which water would've just been fine there would not been no stains or anything, I would have gone over there however the very next day I got sick with the flu, so I was just trying to get better before I went back but instead he made a big deal about it and charged me over $160 , I asked him to work with me and he refused and instead started acting like a jerk, so I warn everybody do not spend your money there it will be a waste, you'll end up being upset and by the way, there is no place to put your garbage there and there's no bathroom you can use & the hours are so inconvenient !!!! read more

I was looking for storage place that I can store all my stuff for my 2 bedroom condo since we are looking to buy a house and I came across with this storage unit online and at first I wasn't sure to call Because most likely a lot of storage facility Around are very expensive and there's a lot of fees but I'm glad I did check out the place because this is the best storage unit place I had. The facility is very clean organized and also the people at the office are very friendly and very helpful and I had a chance to meet the owner which is very nice and down to earth gentleman. I was very lucky and glad that I found the storage unit place because The place is less expensive than any other place and I moved out with my unit with no problem If I need a storage place again in the future i will Definitely come back. warning do not use this storage place horrible service cleared my storage unit a week or more before my unit fee was due so that i didnt have to pay for next month so i let them know few days before but because i didnt let them know 10 days before which i was unaware of i had been with them for 3 yrs the owner said i still had to pay even tho my unit was empty almost 2 weeks before they also rasied the payment fee every year without any notice at all just oh your payment goes from $45 to $70 when it came to info about policy and your unit no communication between employees at all the owner is a out of control money hungry lunatic very unprofessional was really rude and was not willing to work with me to resolve the issue over the phone told me that it was okay for his employees to threaten me with collections because and i quote his words anyone whos at the front desk is considered a manager or assistant manager sk i guess it was okay for them to mention that very unprofessional a total prick which i high doubt his cheapskate self is paying them all manager wages beware beware beware !!!! read more

I feel like he was so caught up with his irritation he couldn't even focus on trying to fix the problem politely. My experience with this storage company was very pleasant. The unit was clean and the staff was very accommodating. The location is convenient enough to allow for traffic of larger vehicles, in and out. I highly recommend working with Justin. He projected out exactly when the unit space I needed would be available and helped me again when I needed additional space. Self storage unlimited employees were very helpful from the day I called to rent a unit. They reserved it for me until I could get off of work. Following that, they were helpful in the process of renting it out, they offer a military discount which is very considerate in helping save a few bucks each month. I rented for just a few months while in between places. I enjoyed my unit. Getting access to the unit was simple with a key pad with your personal code. Finally, they were also so helpful in the last few days when I was attempting to get all my stuff out. I was supposed to be out yesterday, but they allowed me an extra day to move my belongings. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I Went in yesterday at 4:30pm and was only offered a 10x10 (we needed larger) and was told I would be put on a waiting list.....went in this morning to get a refund because we found a larger unit and was told we WOULD NOT BE REFUNDED but NOW they have a larger unit. Very clean amd secure facility! James the owner gave me a great deal on a unit and i never had a bug or mouse problem in the 6 years that i was there. The staff was really nice and always gave me a courtsey call if I forgot to pay my rent which was extremely helpful!! For those that complain about mice....the faciltiy is located next to a large field what do you expect? I know forna fact the house in that area deal with an occasional mouse problem from time to time as well. They set traps down but ive never seen anything but small bugs on them so i paid it them no mind. Plus the staff checks regularly to make sure facility is clean and up to par. I had Self Storage Unlimited for a few months and I felt as if my belongings were safe at all times. In order to get to any of the storage units you have to have a passcode that will open up the gates. The staff was super friendly, especially Mark! When I first got the storage unit he walked me through and made sure it was the right size that I wanted/ needed. The price is very reasonable and affordable. Definitely have mice in these storage units. We brought them to our new house and are till trying to get rid of them after 6 months.

Self Storage Unlimited HAS A MICE INFESTATION PROBLEM......YOULL SPEND HOURS CLEANING YOUR BELONGINGS, SANITIZING, SCRUBBING, AND WORRIED IF YOU BROUGHT THEM HOME WITH YOU!! PLEASE, LEARN FROM MY EXPERIENCE: READ EVERY LINE I HAVE WRITTEN: First of all, i am highly upset due to the fact that this place is run by what appears to be young ladies in their early 20's so there is a lack of customer care and customer service. i asked for a manager, one of the young ladies said, "well we are all like managers." smh.. i only needed a storage unit for 2 months. before renting the storage unit, i noticed two sticky traps on each side of the storage unit in the corners right where the door opens and asked, "do these storage units have a mice problem" the young lady answered, "not really, just a few bugs and mice here and there, nothing to worry about." 2 months later when my brother and i came to move my belongings and furniture, i opened the door to find the traps covered in dead mice.....then as i began to load my moving truck i started noticing droppings (mice feces) on every box, blanket i laid out to cover furniture, couch, mattress....EVERYTHING......from the front of the storage unit to the back and everything that was stacked....mice droppings...they got into boxes, destroyed our very nice ottoman by eating the stitching, chewed through boxes and bags....I WAS ANGRY. while moving a couch that was stacked upon another, a live mouse had been living there, he tried to stay under the couch but i ended up chasing him and he ran into another unit. he just crawled in a corner right under the door and squeezed in. I had a tire rim in a bag that i brought home, i was unloading the bag about to set it in my garage and a mouse jumps out and tries to hide. my friend Ryan a i cornered him and then chased him out the garage. i chased him down and killed it.....it was THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER... LASTLY: As i was checking out of Self Storage Unlimited I wasnt going to make a big deal out of it. there was one girl there who was nice to me. she actually listened to me tell her the issue i had with the mice and was understanding and offered her apologies and tried to hear me out and i was going to be ok with that and just walk out without saying another word. THEN...her co worker "Gabby" adds her 2 cents and says,..."you know, customers hate to hear this, but if you had mice in your storage unit, they probably came with you..." I said "WHAT DID YOU SAY.....................?" "Youre eluding to the fact that my wife and i brought mice with us when we are very clean people and never had a mice problem and to top it off you guys strategically set mouse sticky pads in places in the units KNOWING that you had an issue and you say that to me....." i said "what poor choice of words to say to a customer...you should never say that to a customer." i signed some papers and then left, but before leaving i asked if they could have the owner contact me. the owner is an older african american gentleman and appeared to be nice when he was trying to sell me a storage unit. i told them SPECIFICALLY before i left, please have the owner contact me after 7, otherwise i work all day and wont be able to talk to him. he contacts me twice around 1:30 leaving messages. I just talked to him right now (8-10-2015 @ 9:01 am) explaining that "Gabby" has a lack of customer service skills and that they have a mice problem. he said sorry for the mis-communication and he will give me 2 months free rent next time and send me a letter. he said there was a field fire and it drove the mice into the units....LOL when they had sticky traps in the units before the field fire....Really ? so he evades my complaint of his employer "Gabby" saying she is smart and sorry for the mis-communication...it wasnt mis-communication buddy........ thats how it went down...........DO NOT USE THIS PLACE...........YOU WILL REGRET IT. i will also be reporting this to the BBB, thanks to "Gabby" who insinuated my wife and i brought mice with us when those idiots have sticky traps placed in every unit and the fact that there are mice everywhere....... til next time my friends........ read more

I cannot speak to the service of this place. However, I will say that the owner was not very understanding in my particular interaction with him. My friends and I wanted to help my neighbor pay her fees and I called him 4 times over a span of 3 weeks to speak about payment options and he didn't call me back at all until I complained. A few days before he called me back, there was an extra charge added of nearly $300. I asked him to take the last charge off since he did not call me back in a timely manner and a cost was added in that time, but he refused. I forgot to mention that my neighbor is an elderly widowed woman who just recently had brain surgery, is on disability and barely gets enough for her rent and scrambles just to pay off bills and groceries. I'm not going to criticize the character of the manager because I do not know him, but there was no apology for the untimely response, no willingness to cut the extra cost that he was in part responsible for and definitely a lack of compassion and understanding, especially since I explained her situation to him and he told me that he "knew" her situation. Cleaner than other storage places however they could be cheaper and not charge all the extra hidden fees. If you forget to give a 10 days notice and bill runs into the next month, owner will not prorate the days of use. He will charge you for the entire month even if you only used the space for a few days. That could range from $40-100+ depending on the unit size. Owner personally said policy is strict and very clear because refunds are to difficult so they would not make any exceptions. Interesting, refunds are difficult but payments are not. He's very tight on any type of refund and the customer definitely does NOT come first. read more
