Everything on this menu is sooo delicious!! Even when trying something new, thinking hmm I hope this is good...I promise you won't be let down. I order the lamb haneeth every time and the lamb is always tender and moist. I eat here normally once or twice a week. Clean, place not too shabby. Food was good, but very very overpriced. They charge $2 a cup of tea. $25 for one order of lamb with rice where you can get better for $15 from Hamtramck, or any other place. Fatah is $15, that's a robbery. Fatah is only made from a piece of yemeni bread which is one dollar, dates, honey, butter, and cream. It's worth is $9. Everything in general was very overpriced. read more

Everytime I go for take out I always get home and something is missing, not once not twice but 3 times. It isn't small things it's things that matter in the food for example I got Salta and got it with no hilba and a disgusting amount of okra, the second time I got lamb haneeth and got home with no Sihawiq or utensils and I got one bread when I paid and asked for 2, the third time i simply asked for Marak (a hot beverage) and got a cup that looked half empty and no lemons. First of all let me start by saying that this is going to be the first review i have posted online up to this point. The situation is so bad that i could not resist not to leave a review and felt obligated to make others aware. This weekend I ordered the "Tanoor Fish" from the Sheeba Restaurant in Dearborn (i should also add that this is one of their most expensive dishes and takes longer to prepare compared to some of their other dishes). Anyhow, as i started eating the food, halfway through i noticed a strange looking bug on one end of the fish, and when looked more closely also noticed another half body of a second bug in there, i almost wanted to throw up. I Immediately stopped eating and took the food to the manager, and thats when i encountered the most unprofessional behaviour i have ever seen from a restaurant manager. He looked at the food and the bugs and not only he did not apologize but he also denied the whole thing and started to give me attitude and told me "you can do whatever you want". Its really a total shame for restaurants like this to keep operating with that kind of service. read more

This may have been one of the best dining experiences of my life. From the moment we arrived we were greeted promptly with a friendly staff. Our server was very knowledgeable and gave the best recommendations for us to try as it was our first time here. The dining area was very clean and had a great atmosphere. Our food was brought out promptly and was so fresh and delicious it felt as though we were guests enjoying a home cooked meal. At the end of our meal we were pleasantly surprised with hot towels to clean our hands with! The prices for dishes are also very reasonable with very large portion sizes. This is definitely a place I would recommend to everyone and will be going back very soon! read more

Great place to eat, we had lamb soup and salad as entrée and lamb and chicken haneeth as main course. The lamb meat was perfectly soft and served with rice. The fresh bread and black tea which had some cardamon flavor are absolutely recommendable. Will definitely go there again when in Detroit. read more

Traveled to Dearborn from Fort Wayne wanted to have a nice family dinner. The service was extremely slow. One family member's food came a good 10 minutes after the others were served. The hummus was bland and very disappointing especially for a middle eastern restaurant! The bread was big and tasty however a bit burnt. The lentil soup was good but had to add lemon juice for a better taste. The lamb and chicken tawook were delicious however once again the chicken was quite dark. read more

Best Yemeni food in town. Warm and tasty. Lamb haneeth is the master dish. The sabaya dessert at the end is a must. Brought my father here and he is already asking to go there one more time! Very disappointing. Got carryout of the chicken shawarma platter and a large soup. Platter consisted of a large portion of rice, maybe two ounces of grilled chicken that was very dry with a yellow seasoning over it. No vegetables or pita bread. Large soup was a small coffee cup size styrofoam container (which they provided a second one before I left). Called to complain and they offered to deliver another meal to us which was nice, but we had already started eating. Certainly not a meal worth anything close to $19. read more

I had tried so many middle eastern restaurant that give you 6-7 different things with their Middle Eastern Combos for $20-$30 and this place was $36 for some lamb, rice and some broth or lentil soup (bland) (supposed to be lamb soup but all we got was broth). We also tried the chicken--nothing special. The lamb was fine but you can get so much more food, more variety and lower cost at other places I have no idea why everyone is raving about this place. It's an awesome experience dining in at Sheeba's. The ambience and food is full of cultural. Very good customer service. I usually order the Sheeba for two and end up with plenty of leftovers. It comes with lamb Haneeth that is just so good and tasty, the meat is so tender it falls right off the bone. I haven't yet had Haneeth as good as Sheeba's. You've got to try it! read more

We went to Sheeba for dinner right around the time the restaurant opened and asked the host for suggestions on what some of the most authentic Yemen dishes and he recommend the Fahsah as well as the Lamb Haneeth--both of which we ended up ordering. The Lamb Haneeth was stellar as it was well flavored and so tender the meat was falling right off the bones. The Fahsah, while I cannot vouch for its authenticity, was still a solid, enjoyable dish. It reminded me of a solid potato lamb stew. The bread it came with was delicious! The reason I'm only giving this place 4 stars is because I think the wait-staff is still relatively new and would probably need a little time to get the rhythm of things. We had also ordered a side salad and when we asked what salad options were available, our server wasn't entirely certain, so we just went with their house salad with a request that there be no raw onions on the salad. When the salad came out, not only did it have raw white onion chunks on it, it also had raw green onion chunks in it. Not a huge issue, as we ate around the onions, but still kind of annoying. At one point, they also brought out a dish we did not order and our server seemed surprised when we said we didn't order it. When it came time for the bill, they actually got the bill wrong (in our favor, but still wrong, so we asked them to correct it) although the server said their computer was having issues. Over all, the food is pretty good and definitely adds a bit of diversity to all the Lebanese restaurants in the area. Hopefully they'll get their logistics sorted out in the near future as well. It was everything I dreamed it would be and more! They were delicious and definitely worth the drive from Ann Arbor. I went with my brother and we ordered quite a few different dishes to try, We started out with seltah and fasah. Both came out bubbling hot from the kitchen in clay pots and served with fresh baked bread. The seltah is a vegetable stew with fenugreek sauce on top. The fasah is lamb stew also accompanied with the fenugreek sauce. Both were cooked well and the lamb was exceptionally tender. We also ordered the Sheeba for Two platter which includes: lamb haneeth, lamb masloog, chicken gallaba or seltah, rice, soup, and salad. Both lamb dishes were perfectly cooked, fall-off-the-bone tender and well-seasoned. The chicken gallaba was also well executed, with just the right amount of spice and sauciness. We ended the meal with sabaya (flaky honey bread) and adeni tea. When I lived in Yemen, I would frequently order sabaya and have only seen it served in a loaf style. So it had many, many layers of dough (perhaps 25 or more layers) and the honey was between the layers or perhaps had just seeped into the layers. I'm not sure why but, this restaurant serves the sabaya in a large round pan with perhaps 5-10 layers and the honey is only drizzled on top. It was not what I expected but, it was still quite a large amount for the price and was still quite good. But, I miss the Sanaa version. The tea was delicious with cardamom and steamed milk. The restrooms were very, very clean! Plenty of soap and paper towel etc. They even smelled good. Much appreciated. :) The restaurant is brand new and the decorations are beautiful. Especially stunning are the large pictures they have on the walls of Yemen. We had two different waiters, a man and a woman. The gentleman seemed familiar with all the food items and was very enthusiastic about the dishes and making sure we understood the menu and gave us helpful suggestions. The woman seemed less sure of the menu items, perhaps she is new as the restaurant just opened. She was however very friendly, kind, overall helpful and attentive to the needs of our table and this more then made up for the confusion over the menu items. Overall we had an excellent experience. I'm looking forward to going back with all my family and friends throughout the months ahead. I'm so glad to have finally discovered a Yemeni restaurant that has amazing authentic food, is clean, has good friendly service, and best of all a family section!! read more
