Great find for tasty cheesesteaks and more! We stopped for a late lunch on a snowy afternoon. Both the staff members were super nice to the point we both smiled to ourselves and said WOW. We had the Mushroom Steak and Junkyard Dog. I had the salt and vinegar fries. On another recommendation we got an order of Mamma's corned beef egg rolls with thousand island dipping sauce. We loved everything we had! The sandwiches were steaming hot off the flattop grill. The fries crispy perfection on the outside, seasoned just right and fluffy inside. The egg rolls were crunch and not the least bit greasy. We ate less than half as by then we were more than satisfied. Dinner tonight will be tasty too! What a find. When we're in this area again we'll be back for more.

Me and my son went here for lunch and absolutely loved it. We ordered the loaded Philly sandwiches and the Nashville loaded fries. The sandwiches were amazing. The were loaded with Philly steak and topped with the fixings. ( lettuce tomatoes onions and other stuff as requested). The Nashville loaded fries were truly loaded. A generous portion of golden crisp french fries top with fried chicken breast cut into pieces with Pickles, special sauce and cheese that was melted. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and will definitely try other sandwiches on the menu.

Philly style Subs so good makes " X wanna give it to ya!" Anytime I come here, the food is always fresh and subs never miss. This time my friend and I ordered the spicy Steak Slugger and the Nashville chicken sub. I paired it with some of their puckerlicious salt and vinegar fries and my gosh was it tasty. The steak sub is so tender, so flavorful, saucy, packed with meat and grilled with the best veggies. It's all stuffed in buns so soft you could sleep on them. Their spiciness also has a kick to it. So definitely the slugger is a 10/10 The Nashville chicken sub is also flavorful, crispy and battered beautifully. It's packed with home made delicious coleslaw for that tasty mixture of flavors and texture. My only slight complaint is that it's a little too greasy, especially with the soft buns they soak up all the oil. Otherwise, always a great choice. 7/10

Love love love this place! The staff is so warm and welcoming, you'll feel like family. The food was out of this world. I tried: -The eggrolls (corn beef, chicken, and beef) -The Nashville Hot....my God! And I saved the best for last -The Whiz Philly Cheese Steak. My mouth is watering as I type this. I tip my hat to Bulldog & his team becuase they are the only place to ever change my mind on cheese steaks and actually like them.

This represents a good cheesesteak, but the price tag is higher than the value.

First off - the Classic Philly Cheesesteak was pretty impressive. I don't put any sauces on it and it was superb. My only grind is the price - $15 is kind of a stretch for what I just ate. Don't get me wrong, it was very good, but it's probably more of a $10-12 cheesesteak. Don't get me wrong - I enjoyed my meal, but this cost prevents me from returning on a frequent basis. Next, I opted for the cheese fries. Again, they tasted good, but not as good as the Cheesesteak, so $7 is a pretty aggressive price tag. I should've opted for the "Regular fries" @ $3.50. Overall - Bulldog's Cheesesteaks is a solid 3 1/2 - 4 stars; however, I would've considered this a solid 5-Star meal if the pricing was more appropriate. Three other quick things - Two Pro's and One Con: PRO #1 - the guy who was working the grill is CLEARLY good at what he does and I can tell that he takes pride in his ability to cook a good cheesesteak. So, Kudos to him. PRO #2 - I like the decor. It is a good mix of "classic" Sports memorabilia and Spider-Man memorabilia. CON - when you pay for your meal with a credit card, the three gratuity options are very inflated. The options were: 18%, 20% and 25%. I have a significant problem with any "counter order" eatery "expecting" an 18% gratuity. I mean, 18% is actually an exceptional tip for a "counter order" establishment. The gratuity options should probably be: 12%, 15% and 18%. These high gratuity options demonstrate a sense of entitlement. However, since I was the only person in Bulldog's when my cheesesteak was ready, the chef personally walked my meal out to me at my table - so I'll give props for that. However, if this place had been really busy, I would have to think that my name would've been called, and I'd go pickup my meal. If I'm correct, that definitely DOES NOT constitute more than a 12-15% tip.

If you like cheesesteak subs, run, do not walk to Bulldog's! I stopped in mid-afternoon after hearing rave reviews. I will admit, I was skeptical that this place would be as good as I was hearing. Let me preface this by saying, I'm kind of a cheesesteak snob! This was the BEST cheesesteak sub I've had in years. They were pretty busy with door dash and carry out orders. The owner was on top of everything and the cooks were working pretty fast. I was impressed, especially considering they've been open less than two months. I also loved seeing the diversity of the staff and how well they worked together. The corned beef egg rolls were good. Personally, I prefer more of a crunchy shell but the insides were filled generously with delicious corned beef and sauerkraut; add to it the thousand island dipping sauce and it was a darn good bite! But let's talk about the cheesesteak... soft, fresh baked bread, perfectly cooked tender steak without the fatty bits and all the grease...perfect blend and proportions of onions with both swiss cheese and cheese whiz. Not gonna lie, I was a little leery about the cheese whiz (I haven't had that since I was a kid) -- yet it was the perfect addition to get that cheesy creaminess you would expect on a true Philly cheesesteak. Bottom line? I'll be back, probably more often than I should!

I'm disappointed to see that there aren't more reviews for this establishment! The food is top notch and the quality is impeccable -their steak is fresh and sliced in house daily! There are so many restaurants that opt for frozen options due to cost and I applaud Bulldog's for maintaining their high quality. Their staff is friendly and made great menu recommendations to us. Do not miss this spot if you are in the Dearborn area! When visiting this shopping center, I hadn't planned on eating a meal. However, I love a good cheesesteak and immediately visited Bulldog's. It was a pretty low key time of day and I was served immediately. The staff was friendly and it was a good ordering experience. My cheesesteak was ready in 8 minutes and I took it to go. A few things I loved were the onions and the steak itself. The cheese was melty and there was a decent amount of it. Something I thought could be improved on was the bread. Even with the best quality inside stuffing, bread can make or break a cheesesteak, and I thought the bun was subpar for the price. If Bulldog's invested in some better quality bread, I would be sold and back frequently for many more!

The hot chicken sandwich is the only sandwich I've eaten where I was not sad when I noticed it came with coleslaw on it. The pickles and coleslaw (which I typically dislike) were a surprisingly nice touch against the chicken, which is the obvious delicious highlight here. Was it messy? Sure. Did I underestimate exactly how many napkins I would need in order to eat this on the go in car ? Absolutely. I regret nothing.

Everything about the Philly was very good, but the bread roll really stood out to me...it was super soft & fresh but had a perfect, golden, thin, crispy crust on the exterior holding everything in place and giving just the right amount of crunch to every bite. It held up to the steamy steak and cheese like a champ without getting soggy, Solid sub. And this beast is big; half is enough to satiate almost any hungry appetite. I got mine to go, but the inside is bright & spacious with a ton of seating (but parking can be a challenge). This might also be one of the cleanest sub shops I've ever visited...absolutely spotless when I was there. While in the shop, I also got the pleasure of meeting Mike, who said he bought the place from Ricky a few years back. Mike seems to be a great dude who loves what he does and takes pride in his craft. He hooked me up with a sample of the red pepper relish, showed me what kind they use, and even told me where to buy it in bulk! He also shared some of their in-house Cajun seasoning, which was pretty tasty. Before I left, he gave me a heads up to be sure to hit Dearborn Sweets next door, and even some top selections to try (FWIW....he was right). I can't wait to come back and try some of their other subs! Shoutout and thanks to Mike for making it a great first visit!

This one has essentially the same feel and the food is almost identical as well. I do believe there is an argument to be made that this is the best cheesesteak you can get in Michigan, as the meat is super tender, the bread is very soft and feels like you're biting into a pillow (in a good way) and they offer different toppings as well as their delicious pepper relish. The food and service are no doubt great, with the simple rustic decor giving the place added charm. There are two minor reasons they don't get a perfect score to me. For one the bread, while delicious, is way too delicate. If it absorbs too much moisture from the meat it will break in your hands while you are eating and then you are using a spoon at that point. Secondly I feel like the size of my sandwich was a bit underwhelming as far as length was concerned. They could have put more meat in it as I've seen them really stuff mine at the Ypsilanti location. Despite all this you cannot go wrong coming here for a cheesesteak sandwich

I was lured into Lefty's when I get a coupon in the mail for buy one get one free corned beef…read moresandwiches. I can't resist a good deal after all, even though I wouldn't normally go to one of these larger franchised chains. As I dropped in for a weekday lunch, I saw a number of people come in to pick up takeout orders. I didn't notice anyone eating inside though. #10 Corned Beef Sandwich w/ Sauerkraut ($12.64) - I found it kind of strange that you have to pay extra for sauerkraut or coleslaw - it's usually included in this sandwich at other places by default. I also wanted to get one sandwich with sauerkraut and one with slaw, but for the coupon to work apparently the topping has to be the same. The first thing I noted was how the sandwich was falling apart. As soon as I lifted one of the two cut halves, the middle portion of the bread on the bottom that was touching the sauerkraut completely fell off and the interior ingredients along with it. The rye bread is griddled, creating a nice bit of crunch on the top, but the bottom was mushy and soaked through with the sauerkraut juices. Thousand island is drizzled on top of a melted piece of white American cheese, adding a bit of sweetness and creaminess. There isn't very much sauerkraut added, but what is there is enough to give the sandwich a tang. The amount of corned beef added is a bit lacking compared to competitors, and in general the corned beef in this sandwich is weak with an overwhelming taste of salt. Barely any of the corned beef flavor comes out over the extreme saltiness. Corned beef is supposed to be salty, but this takes it to another level. I guess it's more of a commercial corned beef made for mass production and preservation rather than for taste. Overall, the sandwich is a bit cheaper than the mom-and-pop sandwich places around, but the amount of sauerkraut and corned beef included and the sandwich construction is a bit lacking. Bathrooms: Two individual rooms, one for men, one for women. Air hand dryer only. Given that Lefty's has cheesesteak in the name, I wonder why they decided to have the coupon be BOGO corned beef sandwiches instead of cheesesteaks. Not sure if it's good advertising, because it only convinced me that the food there is kind of mediocre. I certainly wouldn't get the sandwich for $12, and I'm kind of doubting going again even if they have another BOGO coupon. To be clear, I doubt there's anything wrong with this Lefty's franchise, so if you like this chain, go ham. It's just not for me.
