Highly impressed with the OG Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich I got! I got a half sandwich with white cheddar on it and it was huge! Luckily I didn't get a full one because I wouldn't have been able to finish it. I was tempted to get it with the Cheez Wiz on it but I was hesitant. I saw someone else get it while I was there and it looked really good, maybe next time I'll get it! Finally made it here for the first time after hearing a ton of great things. I ordered the OG Philly and loaded it up w/ green peppers, mushrooms, and red pepper relish. Everything about the Philly was very good, but the bread roll really stood out to me...it was super soft & fresh but had a perfect, golden, thin, crispy crust on the exterior holding everything in place and giving just the right amount of crunch to every bite. It held up to the steamy steak and cheese like a champ without getting soggy, Solid sub. And this beast is big; half is enough to satiate almost any hungry appetite. I got mine to go, but the inside is bright & spacious with a ton of seating (but parking can be a challenge). This might also be one of the cleanest sub shops I've ever visited...absolutely spotless when I was there. While in the shop, I also got the pleasure of meeting Mike, who said he bought the place from Ricky a few years back. Mike seems to be a great dude who loves what he does and takes pride in his craft. He hooked me up with a sample of the red pepper relish, showed me what kind they use, and even told me where to buy it in bulk! He also shared some of their in-house Cajun seasoning, which was pretty tasty. Before I left, he gave me a heads up to be sure to hit Dearborn Sweets next door, and even some top selections to try (FWIW....he was right). I have to say Ricky's is a really good place to get a s&c sub I've been there many times I never get a disappointing sub. I've been to many different places to get a cheesesteak sub, I've been to Jersey Mike's and I've been to all kinds of places that serve cheesesteaks . so many different variations of every kind of place you go to is trying to emulate what you get in Philadelphia you don't call the Philadelphia cheesecake but you called the cheesesteak good if you're in a hurry they're also good when you're on Greenfield and are looking for something there's many options in the obvious is like you know typical you know fast food you know nothing special. The service is really fast and very polite and I enjoyed , the recommendations and if you go there, I would highly recommend it if you're out of town looking for somewhere decent. I've seen Ricky's posted on various social media food blogs and friends accounts for a while now and would always drool as I tapped through pictures. One day, the cravings really just over came me and my cousins, and we loaded ourselves into the car and made the trek out to Dearborn to finally try Ricky's for ourselves. The second I walked in, the tantalizing aroma hit me and my appetite went into overload. The staff was super helpful, suggesting different sandwiches based off our tastes. Our order was particularly complicated as we had to accommodate some severe allergies and the staff was very mindful and intentional in making sure there was no cross contamination or allergen exposure in our selections. As you can see in the pictures, we ordered a number of sandwiches, fries, and some sides and we demolished the entire order. The bread was soft and freshly baked, the toppings were clean and fresh, and the meat was tender and flavorful. I'm obsessed with sauces and the sauces were all super yummy and complimentary to the sandwiches they topped. We also ordered Frozen Elephants - but those didn't last long enough for us to photograph. We instantly devoured those! As we sat there and posted our meal, we received texts from our family members requesting we bring them food to go. We ended up ordering more food on our way out to take home and everyone at home all enjoyed their subs too! read more

Love this place! And it looks like everyone else does too, since at lunch time its always busy. Everything on the menu tastes good, practically tried everything!! My favorite is got to be the fish subs...made with cod and the fantastic part is that its more fish than breading! This one I recommend the most. Went there today (7-3-18) and had to get the Philly steak sub everything on it, just because I was thinking about this sandwich since the morning, satisfied my craving. Ricky's doesn't mask the favor of this sub with cheese or overpower it with the green peppers...its just perfect! The Ricky's Club sub has got to be my 3rd favorite, and it really fills me up when I order this sandwich. Price reflect the quality and the amount you get, it won't disappoint. I gotta say, that Ricky takes pride in the food he serves his customers....and it shows. He treats all his customers like neighbors/friends. That's what makes this place keep on going strong! People working here are always friendly, even when it becomes hectic for lunchtime, but sometime you just got to keep the line moving, so please know what you want to get before you hit that register. Today was my third order from Ricky's and it was the third order because the other two was delicious my first two orders my first one I picked up it was a veggie sub the second one was a ubereats delivery it was delicious the third one was today I ordered a half chubby sub and a half veggie sub. If you look at my veggie sub you will see that Ricky's did me so wrong 10.99 for bread they put 1/3 cup of lettuce on my veggie sub talk about pissed I was really mad because how you send a veggie sub out looking like this this was horrible and has convinced me to never place another order here unless I can come pick my food up and look at it before I leave. I paid the price you asked for I really thought you was going to do me better than this is there a shortage on lettuce lol. Ricky's is not the absolute best steak and cheese shop in the state of Michigan, but many will argue it reigns as king in Dearborn. For the longest time there were not many options for S&C sandwiches in the area. Now we have places like Lefty's, Bulldog's, and Detroit Pizza Factory that also offer their own delicious options. You can't go wrong at Ricky's though. You can get yours simple with onions and cheese wiz, or pile on lettuce and tomatoes if you fancy that. For as long as I've been eating from here the formula hasn't changed, which is great for returning customers such as myself. They also now have a food truck! read more

*Halal* Newly redesigned, modern look and feel, this sub shop has a lot of history and has been making delicious subs as far back as I can remember back in my high school days. The philly steak is packed with meat and the sauce is great. They have some amazing boneless wings and the raging hot sauce is pretty spicy. Ricky's is awesome! Jacob and I have been looking for an authentic sandwich shop since the Gallery Deli closed down last year. One Saturday, I told Jacob to find us a different restaurant to try for lunch. After looking at Yelp, we headed to Ricky's. The first thing that baffled us: Why haven't we heard of Ricky's before?!! The second thing that baffled us: Why are his prices so low? All baffling aside, the subs were awesome! I got the turkey and bacon while Jacob ordered Ricky's club. Our food only took about 10 minutes on the grill. We topped off our lunch with a shared bag of Uncle Ray's chips and a couple cans of Arizona tea. The quality of the meats is amazing. It's really good stuff. It's so ridiculously cheap, too. Our total with two halves, two Arizonas and a bag of chips was $12 and some change. The half sub is definitely enough for a normal person, but the whole is good if you like leftovers or want to share with someone. I went a second time and got the cheese steak. It was amazing. The steak was so juicy and flavorful... it melted in my mouth. It was less than $5. How this place stays open is beyond me but I'm alright with their prices! If you love good quality sandwiches and a friendly atmosphere, go out of your way and try Ricky's. read more

Love the new look of the store. It's amazing to see a business grow. I remember it being 1/3 in size with a couple of tables to a full sized dine in place. Love the decor and old school feel of the place. Ricky's Sub has been a staple in the Dearborn community. Always make the freshest subs and fries. I have been loyal to the Phillystake and cheese sub but might try out others in the future. My husband enjoys the Firecracker Sub (I think it's called) which is essentially a philly sub but with spicy notes. Their veggie toppings are crisp and fresh every time and I truly appreciate it. We drove quite a distance to try this place based on reviews and social media. We also came early on a Sunday during an out of the way errand to beat lines and waits. Service was efficient and polite; our food was received quickly. Steak and cheese was pretty good. The bread is what was impressive. Cajun fries...a bit cool on temperature, the large was enough for 4 ppl. Mac and cheese bites were also very good. 28.00 for everything, but we had lots to take back. Where do I begin!!! The great atmosphere or the amazing food? Took me forever to try this place because they close pretty early, but once I finally got the chance I was hooked! Prices are great for the portion you get! I had the chicken and it was amazing. (Extra points for their bread being dairy free!) Their fries are seasoned, crispy and perfect. The chicken is tender and fresh. You can watch them cook it all right in front of you. Which is really nice to know it's clean. This review is made for the Mushroom Steak and Cheese Sub, which I personally didn't have, but I picked it up for my mom who, apparently, is extremely picky with her steak subs. She took one bite and immediately said "this is the exact type of steak sub that I have been searching ages for". No exaggeration when I say I have never witnessed her so pleased with her food! so i haven't grabbed ricky's for a minute now so i decided to get me a half philly steak& cheese sub. what they charge I have nothing to do with this its either buy it or i dont yet i feel like it's a little too much $12 for an 8 inch sub "without" mayo. i worked for ricky's when the previous owner had it back in 04 we never charged for mayo. its a dollar to add mayo really? i mean i go to sub shops and subway i've never gotten charged extra for adding mayo on my sub but thats fine tell me why it took 30 minutes for a 1/2 sub when there is only 2 people in there? also why is my sub cold? you can definitely taste the difference i swear when we cooked back than that bun would be steaming hot taken care off to the max. so ok you charge what you charge its fine but at least put a napkin or two in there specially if the bun is gonna fall apart like that its just not the same cold meat, barley any Italian dressing when i requested extra come on that's not ricky's i worked for ricky it wasnt like that read more
