I love Afghan cuisine and Ariana delivers. We had their mantu and their BBQ platter for Two. Both were delicious. The BBQ platter comes with rice that's mixed with carrots and raisons. The meat was deliciously seasoned and juicy. They also make their own doogh drink which I liked a lot. Not too sour or thick. Overall the food was Amazing. Service was kind as well. If you made a list of all the types of cuisines that Metro Detroit is lacking, I can easily say that Afghan food is one of the most underrepresented. I think part of it is because there isn't a large Afghan community in the area, but also that there are plenty of Middle Eastern/West Asian restaurants offering similar food. But from my experience, Afghan food is quite unique and offers things that cannot be replicated by other neighboring countries. The only time I've had this type of food was in Virginia, and I was a huge fan. On this first trip I went with some traditional items that included the Qabuli Palaw (rice pilaf with lamb shank), the Mantu (dumplings filled with ground beef and topped with yogurt sauce) and the Bolani (bread filled with potatoes and chives). This was a great combination that truly gave an idea of what they offered while also being accessible. I could tell everything was made to order with fresh ingredients. The lamb was so juicy and fall off the bone tender, and the bread was quite satisfying in the sense that it could be a meal by itself. Overall excellent food, food portions are perfect for the price. Meat is soft, tender and easy to eat. Mostly flavour full, the chapali kabob could have more spices and slight less fat, and maybe slightly well done. Plenty of space, and very clean but nothing fancy. Very welcoming place and feels very homey. You can see the women cooking in the kitchen and it seems like a family affair. We went with the BBQ platter for 2 and 3 of us could not finish. It was a lot of food and that platter encompassed majority of the menu. The meats were flavorful and spicy which I love. The yogurt was a nice and necessary relief. I love Afghan food and I'm so glad they opened this Afghan restaurant in Michigan. Came here with 3 friends on a Friday night and had a table with no wait. It's a cozy family owned restaurant. The food is the best kebabs I've had in Dearborn and rivals the best I've had in the US. We shared a platter for 5 which included 5 types of meats and every single one was juicy, flavorful, and delicious! The rice is also amazing. Excellent food and service. We had never had Afghani food before so wanted to check it out. For those who are curious, I would say it is somewhat of a mix between Persian, Punjabi and Indian food and delicious. We had the chicken karahi and the manti and both were excellent. By far the very best new restaurant in Dearborn last couple years, overloaded with Burger Chicken Coffee and Dessert shops. Something totally unique and new just open Saturday, been twice in five days Yummy . On Michigan Ave East Dearborn across from the Strip Club and Ford Dealership, just Google it. Had the national Afghan dish Kabuli pulao is the Afghan national dish. Unmistakable in its appearance with its glistening carrots and large tender chunks of lamb, Kabuli pulao is an unforgettable dish, it's spelled differently many variants. Mega Lamb Shank on Pulao Rice, best dish I've eaten in a long time. We finished with a piece of Pistachio Cake for the win .
