I stopped here because I had a doctor's appointment in the area and decided to get a quick bite. I've had food from Iraqi Kabob on a couple of occasions and thought it was good. Just a disclaimer, they changed the name of the restaurant to "Arab Kabob". Not sure why they went with a different name but it is still the same restaurant. One thing you'll notice when you walk in is that the building and dining area are quite small. There's nothing wrong with that, but you can tell the place hasn't had a lot of work done to it over the years. I ordered a meat kabob sandwich and an okra soup for an early dinner. I found both to be fairly good, but they're both $5.99. I did not think that my cup of soup was good enough to warrant such a price and the meat to bread ratio in my sandwich was a little unappealing. It's worth mentioning that their sandwiches do not come with any sauce and rely on the flavor of the meat to shine through. Unfortunately I didn't think it was enough as the bread made the sandwich too dry and so I used the broth from my soup to give my sandwich some much needed moisture. Thankfully I was relatively satisfied, but the kabob would have been better off consumed by itself. The only reason why I'm not giving this a 4 out of 5 is because I've had better kabobs in the area and there's no reason for me to come back here for them especially since the service was just okay. My parents, aunts & uncles & grandparents have been ordering trays of kabob from here for over 20 years, I called there for an order of 6 kabobs recently and I asked if garnishes would be included, she said yes then the cook came on the phone and said no there's an extra charge, so went from $14 to $32 dollar for bread & garnishes (lol) I ended up just ordering the kabob, waited in the car for it to be ready, it wasn't ready upon arrival, I was asked to pay, the women gave me the wrong change and when I spoke up about it .20 or less difference lol the cook was speaking in Arabic maybe thinking I didn't understand saying that I'm counting change, I mean u gave me time to count it, if my food was ready when I was told it would be I probably would have walked out not counting it or caring, if my husband didn't request me to get food from here or the time wasted waiting for it I woulda asked for my money back and canceled the order, don't go here unless you want your food to be cursed by the cook bc that's exactly what happened, place is extremely dirty as well with flies flying around during the freezing cold winter, I'll be sure to spread my review to my family & friends read more

Called in before I went in to order , greeted here twice to try to get a response but the lady on phone didn't bother to greet me back and just asked what can I get for you. So I was close by and just stopped there to order. I ordered a plate of 4 scewers of kabob and for the first time, they told me it's only 4 scewers of kabob for the order. So I just had to ordere the rest. Small side of pickles, tomatoes and bread . That's a first for sure. 2 minutes after I ordered, and like I said before it's my first time in there, food came out. You can do 4 skewers of the same or mix and match ! The original kebab was a clear winner for me, ground meat mildly seasoned yet so delicious and moist !!! As someone mentioned earlier, the bread is not even needed here but still make a nice addition if you wanna use it as a vessel for the meat ! On April 16 2022 I made my order ($100 order) but the test was totally different not the Kabab I used to have not sure if management or the cooker was changed. Frauds at its best. Just wanted to try some Iraqi cuisine. Asked them for a half chicken and they told it is 12.99. Was worth it when I heard about it. Came home to open the box and found it was few pieces. Called them up and they said they though we ordered tikka Kebob. Although they charged us for a half chicken! My dining partner got the take out chicken kabobs and I ordered the five kabob comb meal was delicious. I had the mixed combo with chicken, beef Laban, lamb kabob, liver kebab and I think heat Laban. The spices were well Balanced. Each kabob was completely cooked properly and the salad and humus delicious! It took 20 Minutes to properly prepare the meal. The wait was worth it. It was delicious, every customer that came into the place and pick up their carry pit order were repeat customers that loved the food. They each gave me praise for stopping at the best business on Warren Ave. As a Santa, I loved their Christmas decorations but it was obvious that their Muslim faith and faith growing closer to Allah the Great was so obvious. I've been here a couple times now and been extremely impressed with the beef kafta kabobs. The meat is extremely tender and juicy. We were also extremely impressed with the grilled chicken tikka! The meat was packed with flavor and was extremely tender. We also really enjoyed the hummous with the tanoor bread. They one thing I would not recommend are the beef kabobs (I'm referring to the cubes of meat, not the ground one). The meat was really tough and honestly hard to swallow. I hadn't eaten at an Iraqi restaurant in Dearborn. It was time to eat at an Iraqi restaurant in Dearborn. After spending some time internet sleuthing (AKA Yelping) and driving up and down Warren Ave, I settled on Iraqi Kabob. I pulled in to the tiny lot, parked, and went inside. It was the run down interior; the handful of uninviting booths for eating in; the serious Iraqi gentleman engaged in deep conversation; the arabic being yelled back and forth in the kitchen; the menu that advertised "meat." Everything in Iraqi Kabob says "you're about to get a delicious authentic meal." As soon as I walked in, I knew this was the restaurant for me. So I ordered the "rice + meat + soup", alongside some hummus. The first thing that you should know is that the hummus is fantastic. It's creamy, tangy, and flavorful- everything hummus should be. You would be remiss if you didn't order it as a side. The second thing that you should know is that both the okra soup and the lentil soup are outstanding. The okra soup in particular is by far the best okra soup I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. The third thing that you should know is that "meat," as advertised on the menu, is in actuality an entire delectable leg of lamb. The fourth thing you should know is that the "rice + meat + soup" ALSO comes with a large salad, and the overall portion size could EASILY feed three hungry people. I don't know much about Dearborn, but I do know that this restaurant is a gem. In the unlikely case that I am asked for restaurant recommendations in Dearborn, I will happily recommend Iraqi Kabob. The hummus is on par with just about any other place in Dearborn that serves a decent hummus, I do like that they give you the huge pita's to dip in it so you have plenty of bread to go around. I tried the mixed Kabob so I got to try a little bit of everything. The lamb kabob was very good, it had some kind of spice in it that I couldn't place so it made it taste different then others in the area. The chicken was very good, cooked perfectly and just the right blend of spices to give it some warmth but not make it hot. My least favorite was the beef, nothing that great but it wasn't bad, its just that the other kabobs were better. The place was not expensive I think it was fair for what you get. They have parking in the back which is nice, but the place isn't very big they only had 6 or 7 tables but no one was there at lunch time so we had no trouble finding a seat. read more

Dining at Arabic restaurants in America is always somewhat of a mission when your boyfriend is Saudi and nothing is ever authentic. But thank goodness at least we live within driving distance of Dearborn to get the ultimate Arabic food fix. Apparently, what Americans know of as "kabobs" are actually something else called "au sal" (skewered cubes of meat) and a real kabob is ground meat (This may only be a Saudi thing). Regardless, thanks to a local foodie on instagram, I came across what looked like what my boyfriend had described to me as a "real kabob". I then checked Yelp for reviews and saw good reviews. However, due to the lower number of reviews, we almost decided to go somewhere else with more reviews, but thank goodness we stuck to our guns and decided to drive down over an hour just to try Iraqi Kabob. What more can I say other than the kabobs were delicious. Juicy, tender, flavorful, well seasoned, and perfectly (not overly) charred on the outside and moist and just done on the inside. We got kabobs with basmati rice, lentil soup, and a salad and really delicious bread also came out with it. My boyfriend ordered the mixed plate which had chicken, beef, and liver on it, but we much preferred the kabobs to everything else. This tiny hole in the wall place deserves 6 stars because I'm not even a huge meat eater and we are already planning to go back to get more and I swear they must have put crack in their kabobs.
