Small kitchen and dining area. Ordered chicken kafta, hummus and chicken tekka. $60.38. Bill folder reminds all patrons to leave at least a 15% tip. The chicken kabob and the chicken tekka were both dry. The kabob was dryer than the tekka. Both have good flavor. Needed some hummus to get it down, would have been much better with garlic sauce. They had no garlic sauce. :( The Samona bread is okay, from a local bakery. Hummus was fine. Lentil soup was small, decent. Salad was flat and bland. Pickled vegetables were not so good. Rice was plain. Almonds would have made it better. Expensive for lunch prices. read more

Iraqi Kabob - Iraqi Tea - Middle Eastern Near Me - Dearborn, Michigan

Hands down the best kabobs I've had anywhere in the United States. Every skewer came off the grill perfectly cooked -- tender, juicy meat with seasoning that hit exactly the right notes. This place sets the bar. read more

Tried an Iraqi restaurant in Dearborn and was disappointed with the chicken kebab which tastes more like egg than chicken. At $19.99, I expected better quality--and surprisingly, it didn't even come with rice. Instead, it was served with just a small salad and some bread. The flavor was average at best. On the plus side, service was quick and there's free parking, which is convenient. But overall, not worth the price for what you get. read more

100% the best little spot in Dearborn hands down. The Iraqi kabob is to die for. It's so delicious, made extremely fresh, and it comes with grilled tomatoes and salad. To top it off, at the end they serve you with a hot cup of shai. Pair this kabob with shanina, some bread they give to you, and thank me later. This is a staple when I go to Dearborn. read more

Best kebab best food very friendly restaurant owner and employee glean delicious food

I stopped here because I had a doctor's appointment in the area and decided to get a quick bite. I've had food from Iraqi Kabob on a couple of occasions and thought it was good. Just a disclaimer, they changed the name of the restaurant to "Arab Kabob". Not sure why they went with a different name but it is still the same restaurant. One thing you'll notice when you walk in is that the building and dining area are quite small. There's nothing wrong with that, but you can tell the place hasn't had a lot of work done to it over the years. I ordered a meat kabob sandwich and an okra soup for an early dinner. I found both to be fairly good, but they're both $5.99. I did not think that my cup of soup was good enough to warrant such a price and the meat to bread ratio in my sandwich was a little unappealing. It's worth mentioning that their sandwiches do not come with any sauce and rely on the flavor of the meat to shine through. Unfortunately I didn't think it was enough as the bread made the sandwich too dry and so I used the broth from my soup to give my sandwich some much needed moisture. Thankfully I was relatively satisfied, but the kabob would have been better off consumed by itself. The only reason why I'm not giving this a 4 out of 5 is because I've had better kabobs in the area and there's no reason for me to come back here for them especially since the service was just okay. The lady who took my order didn't smile or make me feel welcome and I could tell she wasn't particularly enthusiastic to be there. read more

Went to Iraqi kabob this morning to get some lunch. Called in before I went in to order , greeted here twice to try to get a response but the lady on phone didn't bother to greet me back and just asked what can I get for you. So I was close by and just stopped there to order. I ordered a plate of 4 scewers of kabob and for the first time, they told me it's only 4 scewers of kabob for the order. So I just had to ordere the rest. Small side of pickles, tomatoes and bread . That's a first for sure. 2 minutes after I ordered, and like I said before it's my first time in there, food came out. I asked the cook did you just cook it and he insisted on it just left the bbq with the grilled tomato. It was half cold and half hot. Had to pay $23.56 for really bad food and service. And like I told him before leaving, never going back there. "You have to pay for bread and pickles " read more

My parents, aunts & uncles & grandparents have been ordering trays of kabob from here for over 20 years, I called there for an order of 6 kabobs recently and I asked if garnishes would be included, she said yes then the cook came on the phone and said no there's an extra charge, so went from $14 to $32 dollar for bread & garnishes (lol) I ended up just ordering the kabob, waited in the car for it to be ready, it wasn't ready upon arrival, I was asked to pay, the women gave me the wrong change and when I spoke up about it .20 or less difference lol the cook was speaking in Arabic maybe thinking I didn't understand saying that I'm counting change, I mean u gave me time to count it, if my food was ready when I was told it would be I probably would have walked out not counting it or caring, if my husband didn't request me to get food from here or the time wasted waiting for it I woulda asked for my money back and canceled the order, don't go here unless you want your food to be cursed by the cook bc that's exactly what happened, place is extremely dirty as well with flies flying around during the freezing cold winter, I'll be sure to spread my review to my family & friends read more

Okay let me tell y'all... BEST KABOB I HAVE TASTED!! Juicy, soft, and delicious as heck!! The interior is very small and just like a typical diner but who cares.. food is amazing. They're also a great price and staff is friendly. I had a friend who came from out of town, and he would come to this as soon as he lands, lol. 10/10 read more

Beef kabob very tender and delicious. Price was good. Service over the phone. Take-out so no ambiance comments.

Never coming back here again, first of all I ordered my food at 8:36 and I got there at 9:10 and it wasn't ready, they didn't give me my food until 9:37, even when I asked the waitress for the reason why my food was taking so long (btw she was very nice and I put no blame on her) she said the tomatoes were keeping your order late, when I get back home I opened the box and the tomatoes were still completely raw, they are slow and offer low quality food, don't recommend to anyone read more

Don't be fooled by the minimal/tea house/diner vibe here ! The food is incredible!!!! The menu is simple, you get to pick between several cuts of meat including chicken if you want. You can do 4 skewers of the same or mix and match ! The original kebab was a clear winner for me, ground meat mildly seasoned yet so delicious and moist !!! As someone mentioned earlier, the bread is not even needed here but still make a nice addition if you wanna use it as a vessel for the meat ! The complimentary tea to end the meal was also a nice touch ! Can't wait to go again !!!! read more

Small spot with ok kabob. Bad hummus, bland salad and not very clean. Out of soup, out of beef tikka.. The server persisted to tell me more than once that they close at 9 and was rushing to get our order. It was 8:30! I get it, you hate your job and u want to go home but that's not my fault. This is a restaurant, a SERVICE! You don't ever make a customer feel rushed or unwelcome. While we were ordering she literally kept leaving the table lol. She obviously wasn't trained right and that's why there is a hiring server sign on the window. Not going back ever. read more

Iraq Kabab was my favorite testy Kabab that I used to test and eat since I was in Iraq and am a regular customer of this restaurant (Mostly carryout) I usually drive for 1 hour from Troy, Michigan to Dearborn to buy the delicious Kabab (WAS and not anymore). On April 16 2022 I made my order ($100 order) but the test was totally different not the Kabab I used to have not sure if management or the cooker was changed. I called yesterday 4/28/2022 and inform who picked up the phone and unfortunately this will be my last time buying from this place .. need to look for another Kabab place. read more

Frauds at its best. Just wanted to try some Iraqi cuisine. Asked them for a half chicken and they told it is 12.99. Was worth it when I heard about it. Came home to open the box and found it was few pieces. Called them up and they said they though we ordered tikka Kebob. Although they charged us for a half chicken! We also ordered a fish, asked them how it's cooked. They told us it is sautéed in light oil. It was deep fried. On top of this I don't know why the health department is not after them. They are dirty. read more

Iraqi Kabob - Middle Eastern Near Me - Dearborn, Michigan

Small venue, but we were seated quickly. Service was friendly but not attentive. Ordered an appetizer that came with dinner. No plates with the salad. Bottled water. For the prices ($11 kabob entrees), the food was meh. Pickled turnips, huge rings of raw, white onions, 1 piece of Iraqi bread with each entree and huge plastic bags of store bought pita. Come on! This is Dearborn, not Livonia. The kabobs were underspiced, bland and undercooked, ground meat shaped into oblong kabobs. The chicken kabobs were better, but still bland. Not a hint of any typical Iraqi spice. Flies buzzing inside the restaurant, and a dirty booth topped off the visit. Keep driving on past. Go to Dearborn Fresh. The store's prepared kebobs, hummus, sandwiches, bread and side dishes are higher quality, prepared more expertly and infinitely better tasting, not to mention half the price. read more

My dining partner got the take out chicken kabobs and I ordered the five kabob comb meal was delicious. I had the mixed combo with chicken, beef Laban, lamb kabob, liver kebab and I think heat Laban. The spices were well Balanced. Each kabob was completely cooked properly and the salad and humus delicious! It took 20 Minutes to properly prepare the meal. The wait was worth it. It was delicious, every customer that came into the place and pick up their carry pit order were repeat customers that loved the food. They each gave me praise for stopping at the best business on Warren Ave. As a Santa, I loved their Christmas decorations but it was obvious that their Muslim faith and faith growing closer to Allah the Great was so obvious. Muslims and non Muslims are welcome to a cheerful and loving business where everyone is welcome! The Arab community and everyone' is best served by this wonderful group of people. read more

I've been here a couple times now and been extremely impressed with the beef kafta kabobs. The meat is extremely tender and juicy. We were also extremely impressed with the grilled chicken tikka! The meat was packed with flavor and was extremely tender. We also really enjoyed the hummous with the tanoor bread. They one thing I would not recommend are the beef kabobs (I'm referring to the cubes of meat, not the ground one). The meat was really tough and honestly hard to swallow. Like I said though, the beef kafta kabobs (which is the ground meat) were amazing and definitely a must try! read more

As soon as I walked in, I knew this was the restaurant for me. But I'm getting ahead of myself. I was in Dearborn. Dearborn is known nationally for it's Iraqi population. I hadn't eaten at an Iraqi restaurant in Dearborn. It was time to eat at an Iraqi restaurant in Dearborn. After spending some time internet sleuthing (AKA Yelping) and driving up and down Warren Ave, I settled on Iraqi Kabob. I pulled in to the tiny lot, parked, and went inside. It was the run down interior; the handful of uninviting booths for eating in; the serious Iraqi gentleman engaged in deep conversation; the arabic being yelled back and forth in the kitchen; the menu that advertised "meat." Everything in Iraqi Kabob says "you're about to get a delicious authentic meal." As soon as I walked in, I knew this was the restaurant for me. So I ordered the "rice + meat + soup", alongside some hummus. The first thing that you should know is that the hummus is fantastic. It's creamy, tangy, and flavorful- everything hummus should be. You would be remiss if you didn't order it as a side. The second thing that you should know is that both the okra soup and the lentil soup are outstanding. The okra soup in particular is by far the best okra soup I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. The third thing that you should know is that "meat," as advertised on the menu, is in actuality an entire delectable leg of lamb. The fourth thing you should know is that the "rice + meat + soup" ALSO comes with a large salad, and the overall portion size could EASILY feed three hungry people. I don't know much about Dearborn, but I do know that this restaurant is a gem. In the unlikely case that I am asked for restaurant recommendations in Dearborn, I will happily recommend Iraqi Kabob. A side note to this review: all of my dining companions identified this as their favorite meal in Michigan. And we ate a lot of good meals. read more

The meat kabob is pretty good but the chicken one was meh not the best but the meat kabob stole the show

Love the kabob, that's all they are good for. It is very greasy, but I guess that's why they taste so good ;) I think they taste better with Naan than a pita. Every ones in a while they serve special bread, that's really good. It's a small place main focus on take out. Wish they made / served whole chicken, because the chicken is really flavorful and nicely cooked. Really cheap and a hidden gem. read more

Iraqi Kabob - Inside Iraqi kabob - Middle Eastern Near Me - Dearborn, Michigan

Amazing, this place is right off the boat from Baghdad. The kabob was plentiful and flavored. Our talkative group was silenced, everything was so good all we wanted to do was eat! The menu is in English (on the reverse side) as well as Arabic and the waitresses all speak English, so come on in. Little parking area in the back read more

Dining at Arabic restaurants in America is always somewhat of a mission when your boyfriend is Saudi and nothing is ever authentic. But thank goodness at least we live within driving distance of Dearborn to get the ultimate Arabic food fix. Apparently, what Americans know of as "kabobs" are actually something else called "au sal" (skewered cubes of meat) and a real kabob is ground meat (This may only be a Saudi thing). Regardless, thanks to a local foodie on instagram, I came across what looked like what my boyfriend had described to me as a "real kabob". I then checked Yelp for reviews and saw good reviews. However, due to the lower number of reviews, we almost decided to go somewhere else with more reviews, but thank goodness we stuck to our guns and decided to drive down over an hour just to try Iraqi Kabob. What more can I say other than the kabobs were delicious. Juicy, tender, flavorful, well seasoned, and perfectly (not overly) charred on the outside and moist and just done on the inside. We got kabobs with basmati rice, lentil soup, and a salad and really delicious bread also came out with it. My boyfriend ordered the mixed plate which had chicken, beef, and liver on it, but we much preferred the kabobs to everything else. This tiny hole in the wall place deserves 6 stars because I'm not even a huge meat eater and we are already planning to go back to get more and I swear they must have put crack in their kabobs. Also tempted to buy more next time and bring it home to stock up in my freezer... 10/10 definitely recommend. read more

OMG these are the juiciest and most delicious kebabs I've ever had outside of Pakistan - and the portions are huge. One order of kebab is enough for two people since it comes with a great Arabic salad, grilled veggies, and bread. And when you dine in, you get bombarded with Shiite Muslim iconography and Iraqi TV . A great experience. Oh and they're used to non Arab clientele, so don't feel awkward if you're the only non Iraqi guy there. read more
