Its My first time buying from them and it was horrible I waited 30 minutes for fries and they wasn't cooked and the guy who works there start yelling and screaming after I told him that. Don't recommend. read more

I ordered from golden chicken earlier tonight, ordered 2 whole chicken, a large frie, hummus and then an order of rice with ground beef, i paid at the register and asked the clerk to please double check everything because i dont want to come back. He allegedly checked everything and than i left. Arrived home and was starving i open the boxed and completely dissatisfied immediately i unwrapped the whole chickens and they had a very strange stench, the rice and meat was just completely wrong, they wanted to compensate after forgetting my french fries, with an extra side of rice like that was going to do anything. So i drive back down to the store come home again and then Open the french fries and they were completely burnt / over cooked no taste whatsoever then He offered me a large yellow rice that literally looked like it was eaten from or somebodys left overs. Im absolutely disgusted and will never step foot in this place ever again. I really dont care if this review nakes them look bad or not. I work hard for my money, and we are in the year of 2026 for a business to have such terrible service where everyone cuts in line infront of you, to the messy unsanitary countertops to the terrible flavors if the food its disgusting!!! And just a word of advice when you open a Lebanese restaurant employ a Lebanese chef who understands the quality and texture and flavor profile of Lebanese authentic food!! No offense to all countries! But Lebanese food carries its traditional and authentic flavors and it's own way of cooking and nore importantly taste!!! Later that night we continuisly threw up during the entire night and went to be checked and were told it was food poisoning!!! I am honest to god extremely disappointed and never ever going back to this place again! read more

Golden Chicken is a fantastic restaurant with huge portions, great prices, and delicious food to match. My go-to order is typically something like this: Large Chicken Shawarma Plate - It's like several pounds of meat with a pita on top and bottom to soak up some of the juices. The chicken shawarma here is some of the best in the area, nicely seasoned with some good crisp edges. Large Side of Yellow Rice - has some peas, carrots, and a small amount of chicken shawarma mixed in. Good rice as a base for everything else. Medium Tabbouli - Pretty standard tabbouli, I always get it for some extra veggies. Large Hummus - It's a really good hummus. Really nothing else to say. Toum (Garlic) - Comes with the meal, strong garlic flavor, not much sour lemon flavor. Some of the best Toum I've had. I think Golden Chicken uses less filler than most other places, which is great. This comes to just over $50 and it's easily enough to feed my wife and me for 3 or 4 days. They also give you a cup of toum, a small container of pickles and an entire 10-pack of pita from one of the local bakeries if you spend above I think $30. Honestly the only thing I think could be improved is if they baked fresh pita in house. I highly recommend Golden Chicken if you're looking for great Lebanese food. read more

Best food ever. I drive an hour from Northern Oakland County and never have regretted it! Authentic Lebanese. Couldn't be happier. Thank you for your FOOD! read more

I can't believe this place doesn't have more reviews. We came here to break our fast, the line looked pretty long initially but it moved so quickly. The service was fast, friendly, and homey. This hole in the wall had one of the best rotisserie chickens I've had in a while, and the toum and pickles made it a perfect bite. If you're looking for good food with no frills and kind service, you'll find it here :) read more

I've been coming to Golden Chicken for many years, but this is my time. The service and attitude of the cook is nothing like before. I guess when you're big you get to select your customers not the other way around a small container of meat shawarma for $12 the same amount of meat put in a sandwich?????? Really??? read more

I have been coming to them since they had the hole in the wall location across the street. And when I tell you even then the food was delicious. They are my go to when I want a quick and delicious meal I know my kids will eat. My kids aren't fast foodies so when in a rush I get a whole chicken, yellow rice, stuffed grape leaves and hummus. Oh not to mention my husbands shawarma he gets a different one every time. But the whole trip is for the chicken. I mean it's so full of flavor and hands down the best rotisserie chicken you could ever buy and the prices are reasonable. Definitely a hidden gem. So happy for them being able to move to a bigger and much better building. They now have a lot more seating and the parking lot is bigger. read more

This place is great. They keep things simple, selling Meat and Chicken Shawarma sandwiches, Rotisserie Chicken, the star a whole Chicken on da cheap and a variety of side items. We ate inside a dozen seats and clean restroom. You can get the meat, which is a combo of beef and lamb, or the seasoned chicken. Both are delicious. A whole Chicken 11bucks outstanding Delicious, had one each Chicken n Beef Shawarma along with Sujuk Sandwich OMG fantastic. We spent a hour eating and watching at least 50 customers pickup food. 4 employees behind counter work nonstop making all happy. We going back soon to try more of the menu. You won't find any paid foodies from Instagram, just Arabic families enjoying great food. Prices are low and food is Flavorful what more do you need. Going on 15 year's now a very pleasant experience you must try. read more

My favorite spot have been going here for many years.. people are always friendly. Even towards other nationalities.. the price of the food is cheap always fresh.. and the manager is very cool guy. And also they make the best shawarmas read more

You know the stereotype of a hole in the wall having the best food? This is it! I visited this spot after reading about it here on Yelp. The food was really good but the prices & the hours are what keep me coming back. The food is consistently fresh. They give so much food that I've had to stop them several times. They're open until 11:00 pm but they often run out of food before then. It's always loud & packed with men. The guys behind the counter are personable and friendly. They're always in a rush though. No time to talk to you about the menu. I haven't had their signature dish yet - the rotisserie chicken but not because it doesn't look and smell good. I usually get rice with some of the meat & veggie stews. This has quickly become my go to spot whenever I'm hungry and don't know what I want to eat. read more

As a Lebanese citizen who lives in Florida, I look for authentic and traditional food that reminds me of Lebanon. I have visited Dearbon over 24 times. I have tried most of the restaurants. But, I loved and enjoyed the rotisserie chicken, grilled chicken, falafel and kabobs at GOLDEN CHICKEN. The customer service and hospitality of the staff are superb. The prices are the lowest in the area. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious leb food. read more

Golden Chicken is a hole in the wall, dilapidated, hidden gem? Actually idk how to describe it? But how about this? It is about 90 degrees today and they have no AC. The seating booths, the floors, the entrance, the back, the parking lot look so rundown lol. But the traffic is bustling. I was there for a good 30 minutes waiting for my food and I think I saw 15 people come in and go out, some ordered inside, and some had pick up orders. Personally that's a sign of a good restaurant. I did a few walks around my car while waiting for food and this guy next to me said hello, i asked after greeting him how the food was? And he said he drove 45 minutes just to have some Golden Chicken and how their food is never old, fresh all the time because they get a copious amount of orders. It's hard to keep left overs. This got me even more excited. I order two chicken shawarmas(not pictured) and a mixed grill combo(comes with rice/salad). My total came to $21 or so. Mind you, this food was good for 5-6 people. The shawarmas were heavily filled to the brim with delicious season shawarma chicken. And a few pickles and lathered in my all time favorite garlic sauce. The mixed grill came with lamb skewer, beef shish kebob and grilled chicken kebab. On a bed of rice that could feed 4-5. It came with so many pita breads, a crazy amount of hummus and pickles(i guess thats the salad). The yellow rice was delicious, round grain. Had some carrots, and green beans and corn in the rice. The kebabs were delicious but the shawarmas were memorable. Only $3.50 each, now that's cheap! Next time I'll try the whole rotisserrie chicken but my oh my, food is fresh, good and cheap. The quantity is crazy filling. Discovered this way too late but it's better than never! read more

There are myriad places to get a shawarma in Dearborn, and you're likely to hear ten different answers if you ask ten different people to identify the best. Having tried most of them, though, this is my personal favorite. Ultimately I'd recommend this for a casual lunch with friends or for carry-out, as it's not really set up to be a supreme dine-in location. It's a tiny place with only four booths, one of which is usually occupied with freshly-delivered bread. The shawarma sandwiches are the best I've ever tried, especially on French Bread (I know it sounds a bit odd, but try it!) The meat (chicken or lamb) is always succulent, juicy, and flavorful. The onions, pickles and tomatoes give it the right veggie flavor, and all the breads are fresh. The staff is friendly, the side dishes (garlic potatoes and yellow rice are my favorite) come in GIGANTIC portions, so be prepared to split even a small order. read more

Excellent hidden gem (though seemingly well known in the surrounding community). Rotisserie chicken unlike any other around metro D. The chicken has a char and crispy skin which adds a wonderful touch. They used to wrap it in lavash bread but since my last visit now use a common pita seen everwhere. I tell them not to wrap mine in bread. Some of the best toum/garlic sauce in the area. Get an extra larger sauce for home. Thank me later. Note: I have a trick. When taking the chicken home, I immediately open the foil exposing the chicken. This allows the steam to release, thereby retaining some of the chicken skin crispness. read more

If I was just eating the food , I'd give 5 stars. But because the customer service is just inconsistent, I have to meet halfway. I've been here many times, sometimes they're insanely busy & other times not so much. The place itself is tiny. A couple tables, pretty outdated, not somewhere you'd wanna sit but more of a takeout. So I call and place my order about 15 minutes before I get to the area because I'm in a rush. Once I get there, I give em my name. "Oh we forgot about you" , huhhhhhhh??? They had forgotten to start my order - mind you it was just a sandwich - so I just waited. About 8 minutes later it was ready, but they forgot to even add the pickles. What's a sandwich without pickles? Another time I called for the same thing, they told me I can't order one I have to order two.. because it's a waste of chicken to make just one. The following time when I asked if I still had to order two the employee said he had no idea what I was taking about. Due to all of this I'd say the main issue is customer service consistency & a the unappealing interior. Aside from all of that. The sandwich was good. Chicken is good, fattoush is also good, everything is reasonably priced. The rotisserie chicken is the best here compared to other places in Dearborn. I think it's about 11-13$ for a whole. So it's a good price. I'd definitely come back, but I think they need to work on the service. read more

It's a true hole-in-the-wall, bare bones decoration and only 4 tables. The food is incredible though! Some of my friends strongly recommended the grilled chicken shwarma on french bread. It has such good flavor, juicy and every ingredient fits perfectly. I truly savored every bite and I was tempted to order another one because it was so good. I also had their garlic spread with it and it was good but not necessary. I also ordered their pita bread and hummus. It was good as well but not quite in the same league as their chicken shwarma. We came here around 11.30 AM on a weekday, this place was really busy around noon. If you plan on coming, either go early or go late. I will be back soon! read more

Oh so close to being 5 stars. I have to review this place because people gotta know. Came here with my boss and co-worker (the first time) and have been a repeat customer ever since. AMBIANCE: located next to a hookah joint, you're not going to want to take a first date here (1. lack of decor, 2. garlic sauce, 3. more garlic sauce). The place really is a hole in the wall. With 3 or 4 tables, this place primarily caters to people getting take out. Oddly enough, every time I have been here, I have made it a point to dine in. SERVICE: ABD! (this is what the owner Abdullah goes by). On only my second visit, ABD completely remembered who I was, and even remembered my order. ABD and his son do the cooking and the prep work and are very charming and personable. Considering I knew what I wanted when we came there, they did point out dishes to try, and even let us sample other things in case we might want to get it next time. MENU: not the largest of selection. Of course as long as you're doing all of the dishes right, what does it matter. I'm always a fan when I see the rotating meat spigots. They have one with chicken and the other with beef (and lamb sprinkled in here and there). Sandwiches and their rotisserie chicken is what they are known for. They also have your typical appetizers (grape leaves, hummus, etc...). FOOD: I've eaten at a number of joints in Deaborn, and I dare say this is my favorite place to get a chicken shwarma. The chicken shwarma is juicy, filling, and grilled just slightly to give the pita a little crispness. Dear lord, I'm getting hungry just typing about it now. I've tried the meat shwarma as well, and I must say, while it is good, it is no where near the level of the chicken shwarma. You would expect the chicken to be good at a place called "Golden Chicken" after all. We typically order a side of rice as well. We usually go with the yellow rice (has chunks of chicken and other veggies in it). Definitely a nice combo with the chicken shwarma. The hummus and grapes leaves are also tasty, but again, it's all about the chicken here folks. OVERALL: a chicken shwarma, a plate (or two) of rice and a drink for $6? Don't mind if I do. Definitely glad my boss turned me on to this joint. It's my new Friday tradition. CELEBRITY RATING: John Cusack read more

Every few weeks at work, we have someone who offers to go to Golden Chicken and pick up food for everyone. And everyone orders. What ensues is a spreadsheet of chaos but it's worth it because this food. Mmm. Disclaimer: I don't eat meat. Truth: I love this place. I don't know who came up with it but eating a shawarma with French bread is wonderful. It is worth those calories. I have the salads and the falafel French bread sandwich semi-regularly. It comes with some garlic paste that is A+. Everyone loves it. At work we joke about avoiding meetings after Golden Chicken because that garlic paste just elevates the flavor and is hard to resist. It's also a small shop and I wouldn't recommend eating here. Come by, pick up food and find a place where you can sit down and relish it. Golden Chicken - Shawarma racks - Middle Eastern Near Me - Dearborn, Michigan

I have had this place many time, my friend always gets a couple chickens to go, every time I have had it (at least 10 times over the past 3 years), the chicken has always been way too dry. I think it is dry because it is Halal. Most of the Halal stuff I get in the area is always dry. I will say I like the garlic and bread that it comes with. If you like juicy chicken, this is not the place for you. But most of my Lebanese friends that only eat Halal love it. read more

This place is great. They keep things simple, selling meat and chicken shawarma sandwiches, rotisserie chicken, and a variety of side items. I go here strictly for the shawarma. You can get the meat, which is a combo of beef and lamb, or the seasoned chicken. Both are delicious, and served on french bread or pita. I recommend the french bread, which is toasted in a panini press so the crust is crispy. The sanwiches also include pickles and a garlic spread. I had to knock off 1 star because occasionally the meat is dry, but this has only happened a couple times out of the many that I've eaten here. Side items are standard middle eastern fare: hummus, saffron rice, spiced potatoes, etc. I'm a big fan of the rice, its very flavorful. The portion sizes are very generous. The small sized sides could feed 2-3 people easily. Seating is very limited, recommend getting a take out and heading over to one of Dearborn's parks to eat in the summer months. read more

Dor employees reference. This order was made on july 18 ar around 3pm I don't usually leave bad reviews but unfortunately this was the most annoying experience I've had not from the service the guys are great they sweet talk you very nicely but when I got the food home it was a different story the chicken and beef shawarma were so loaded however they had no flavor, no garlic for chicken and sooooooo salty beef shawarma sauce, the bread was cracking and it would not stay as a sandwich.. The rotisserie chicken waasupposed to be the ultimate signature dish and unfortunately it's unedible it was burnt and it seems it has been sitting out for a long time while they claimed it was fresh you can see the skin is all wrinkled and there's a very thick crust of burn all over the chicken the wings are basically black other than the fact that the whole chicken is as big as my fist I used to come to Golden Chicken all the time but I haven't since about six months and I decided to come back to it but I guess either management change or employee changed or they are careless.
