First visit to pick up a preordered Pasty. Ordered two Italian and two traditional. Boy these were delicious. They have an option to buy them and cook at home, which is what we did. The location was difficult to find, and we had to call and ask for help. The shop is inside a bar. You get a lot of food for a fair price! They also carry different foods from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

Our server Dylan was excellent, and the rest of the staff kept our waters filled and dishes cleared. We tried the Vegetariano panini (fantastic) and the Lombardia pizza Bianca (also fantastic). Everything is clearly prepared with intention - the greens on top of the salad were perfectly dressed, and the veggies on the panini were chopped into small, uniform pieces so every bite was perfect. It was hard to decide what to order, so we will be back to work our way through the menu!

It was IMPOSSIBLE to talk to each other. It was so loud, we were basically yelling at each other, the waiter too. Our table was so tiny, it barely had room for our food. What if we had ordered more? Our waiter was super nice and very knowledgeable. However, when he was telling us about the pasta special, we both heard him talking about adding berries to it. But when it came it, we were confused what he was even talking about. The pizza was great BUT only when you eat it fresh. After it got to room temp/cold, all you could taste was the burnt crust. Unfortunately, now that it's off my list of place to try, I probably would not go back. Also, we had to wait 30mins which was fine but a party of 2 who came AFTER us, got seated before us.

Despite that our party of six was seated quickly and we were offered dining room, patio or covered patio tables. We chose the dining room which is cute, dark and unfortunately a bit loud. Our service was good and our server was friendly, but it was difficult to hear her and her us.A couple of us had Manhattans, which were very good, but the glasses were different sizes, which made me think maybe mine was not the same volume. My dad ordered the beef Marsala pasta, which was a generous serving and he seemed to enjoy it. The rest of us ordered different pizzas - everyone liked their choice but there were a couple standouts. The walnut was a revelation, walnut puree, fontina cheese, whipped cream cheese, mushrooms, and roasted walnuts. It was unique and tasty. My truffle pizza was also excellent, with authentic flavor and not the overwhelming fake truffle notes you sometimes get. The sausage pizza was also good, according to my BF.

The cheese pizza for the children was as plain as a cheese pizza can be -- but that's why we ordered it for the kids. It was exactly what the picky eaters wanted and they seemed to enjoy it. For the adults we ordered two large veggie pizzas. We opened the first box and dug in and I have to say it was quite good, A nice cracker crust, decent sauce, a goodly amount of veggies evenly distributed over the crust and enough, but not too much cheese. On to the second box, and what a disappointment. The pizza was over-baked, extremely dry, and actually charred black in places -- not just a bit on the edge of the crust, but whole pieces were inedible. The amount of veggies was significantly less than the first pizza and the distribution of the toppings was uneven. How two "identical" pizzas can come out so differently is baffling. All I can say is that quality control and consistency in the kitchen seems to be lacking and that is ultimately a management problem. I'm glad we happened to open the box with the well prepared pizza first. At least half of our meal was decent. Two out of three equals two stars from this reviewer.

This year we decided to come to this location. We had a party of 4. The seating hostess showed our final guest to our table and we were ready to order. I started out with the pasta e fagoili soup. It was hot and flavorful as always. After soaking up the last drop with one of their amazing bread sticks, I ordered a plate of rigatoni with the new spicy 3 meat sauce. The pasta was cooked just past al denté, which is the way I like it. This sauce is a keeper. It is meaty, saucy, and spicy. Our waiter was always prompt when bringing out more bread sticks or pasta bowls. The thing I was disappointed about is that they had ran out of pumpkin cheesecake. This was 90 minutes after opening. How could this be? It's the reason for the 4 out of 5 stars.
