We've heard about it but have never been in the immediate area to try it.... until today. While we waited, we spoke to two women, both confirming the food here is authentic Syrian cuisine. The hummus is good and creamy and the falafel is loaded with flavour. The tahini is a perfect compliment and the spice is right-on. However, the meat shawarma was dry and the tabouli salad tasted off. I did like the shish kebab with rice. It's a friendly place with friendly people. A very enticing atmosphere yet unassuming. Well lit, very clean. It's not often that we're in this area, when we are, we'll be sure to stop again. 01/26 read more

Delicious food. We had the beef shawrma sandwich and the mix kebab platter. Meat was well done, fries crispy, and salad was great. Customer service was very kind and generous. Presentation of the food was also very well done. All in all would come back again for sure read more

Bursting with flavor! I stopped in tonight for the first time to pick up a takeout dinner after visiting someone who lives nearby. I got chicken kofta Perfect with rice and soup, salad and vegetarian grape leaves. I figured this would be plenty of food for dinner today and dinner tomorrow. First of all when you walk in the door it smells fabulous. Lots of good food in the process of being cooked and served. Service was great. I got takeout and I didn't really have to wait very long. The chicken was delicious. Perfectly cooked and very flavorful. Big portion of rice to go with it. The fatoush salad with dressing was yummy. Finally the vegetable grape leaves were so good I can't wait to get them again. There is indoor seating so if you're inclined to dine in you certainly can. Great location ease of access and I was on my way home. read more

The owner is the NICEST person ever! Super willing to answer questions. The food itself I might rate at 4 stars. There was definitely a large ~quantity~ of food, but some of it was more hit and miss than others. The chicken shawarma was great, and the almond rice with toasted almonds was AMAZING. I just wish the lamb shawarma that we got had some more crispy bits that we love. The baba ghanoush was a tad too smoky (didn't realize that was possible!) with possibly too much salt as well. We still really enjoyed our takeout though, and we'll be back. read more

Just got carryout for the 1st time and... WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE?!? Easily my new favorite place for beef kabobs and rice pilaf... and garlic sauce... and hummus. And tawook was awesome too. I will definitely be back to try other favorites like shawarma and baba. Really enjoyed the friendly customer service and super clean atmosphere. Thank you guys!! read more

Had a really great meal here. Feta Fatoush was great with fresh pomegranate seeds, tomatoes and Feta with a great dressing. Had a chicken cream chop sandwich which was quite good and girlfriend loved her Kabob sandwich. Reasonably priced for the great quality. Staff was friendly. Will be back. read more

Let me begin by saying, they have THE BEST salad dressing I've ever tasted! This salad was amazing! I've never seen one with the citrus on top. The feta on the fattoush gave a new spin to an old favorite. I also had a chicken shawarma (not pictures). It was your regular sandwich and came second to the salad. I wish they were closer to my house because I would make this my normal go to spot! read more

Well.....my first trip (carryout) was approx 3 weeks ago and I ordered the hummus with chicken shawarma, fattoush salad and rice with almonds. Rice: outstanding! Salad: very fresh, wish it included crispy pita chips, dressing was slightly tangier than our other go to place. I didnt mind it but suspected that my hubs would (I dined alone this trip) Hummus: verrrry good (garlic too) Shawarma chicken:.......verrrry dry I was disappointed the chicken was small chips and dry, crusty edged pieces. I had seen the meat on the spit and it was rather skinny so I thought perhaps I had gone late enough in the day that I was getting the end/overcooked part of the days offerings. Owner was very nice, double checked the order and wished me well. Hubs ate the rest next day, said it was good and determined that we would try it again read more

This place came highly recommended to me. Picked up a carryout order for dinner. The gentleman who cashed me out (I'm assuming he was the business owner) is extremely polite and welcoming, so a great first impression. He knew I was fasting at the time, so he gave me a free dessert to go with my meal which I appreciated. Overall I thought the food was great. The salad was quite large and I especially enjoyed the dressings that came with it (both the pomegranate vinaigrette and fattoush dressing). Go light on them though as they are very tangy if you over do them. Lamb had a good flavor, but was a little overcooked for my liking. When I made it into a sandwich with the fries and garlic sauce, it was quite a good meal. The only thing I would say I didn't care for was the lentil soup. It wasn't bad by any means, just different from what I am used to. Still despite the shortcomings I think this place deserves its high rating. read more

Been trying to get inside this restaurant for over a year, since Covid Closed the dining room. How cool just reopened a couple weeks ago. Only a handful of Authentic Syrian Restaurants around Metro Detroit. We had a marvelous hour plus experience, the owner and staff treated us like family. Whenever we hear the names of dishes like fattoush or hummus, we think of the Lebanese cuisine. However, these dishes are also part of traditional Syrian cuisine. This is mainly because the traditional foods in Syria have been derived from various other regions of the world especially after the Islamic era. Having gone through various conquests by the Arabs, Persians and Ottoman Turks, the traditional food in Syria are similar to other cuisines like the Levant, Lebanese and middle-eastern cuisines. Kinda went over board had 4 large containers with leftovers, three of us stuffed with unique outstanding food's. Here's a list hopefully not forgotten anything. Fatoush Salad, Lentils Soup, Toum, Hummus, Syrian Spicy Red Bread. A most delicious Cauliflower n Tahini Sauce dish WOWED. Real Lamb Kafta and Chicken Kafta both bursting with unique flavors. Tender moist Rice n Falafel perfect for sharing. A smashed Lamb in a pita Arayes and a plate of very best ever Batata Harra. A OMG dish instant addiction and a must try. Batata Harra literally means spicy potatoes--a fairly popular Middle Eastern skillet potatoes dish. So Happy for this small family business open 4 year's now is very popular with hundreds of regular customers. Best Mediterranean ever! Mosaud (owner) takes special attention to food requests. The beef kabob dinners are our absolute favorite. Only tenderloin beef used! Perfect spicing and tender every time. Their rice with almond slivers is always fresh. The fattouch salad with fresh vegetables is never wilted. We pay extra to add feta cheese...yummy! The grilled vegetables are also very fresh...extra side order....with mushrooms, green and red peppers, onions and carrots is ALWAYS an add on to our orders. We order chicken kabobs also as 2nd food choice. Yep...we are regular customers...no special discounts for this honest review...lol! read more

I will be back - this place gets it! I worked in Dearborn for years and experienced some great Middle Eastern food. I thought I would try someplace closer to home and was very impressed by the pride they showed in their food and its presentation. Great house salad and dressings. Both the chicken and meat were flavorful and moist. Kafta had great seasoning and well cooked. Hummus was exceptional and a bit unique - absolutely smooth and slightly nutty with just right amount of garlic. I had the falafel platter and veggie grape leaves. My husband had the chicken shawarma. DELICIOUS! The falafel were a bit different than anything I've had before, and I loved them!!!! They were shaped kind of like little donuts instead of the typical like round dome shape, and they had these toasted sesame seeds that gave the falafel a bit of a nuttier flavor. Tried this restaurant today for the first time. So good! Had the chicken shawarma meal on Baba ghanouj with fries and a salad and a cream chop chicken sandwich with tabbouleh and garlic sauce. It was a lot of food! The chicken shawarma meal was HUGE! I was shocked when we opened everything up and found a full portion of each salad, fries, and chicken for the price of one meal. Their website made it super easy to order online and everything was ready when we arrived. We ordered take out and had a picnic at a near by park! Highly recommend this place! read more

Amazinggggg. Just wow. Went there for a late dinner after traveling from lax. Almost closing time and they were just so accommodating and truly truly amazing. Gave us some appetizer while we waited for our food and the shawarma was soooo juicy and so flavorful. Truly I can't stop thinking about it. Ordered the molokhia soup, lentil soup, combo mazza with fattoush less pita instead of the salata masria, feteer chicken shawarma and side of falafel. $49.78 They are out of the Fakhfakhina drink, sounds interesting with the strawberries, ice cream, sounds kind of like a float. I couldn't try a taste of the molokhia soup to see if it would be good or not. I have no idea what Jute is, had to look it up. It's a green leaf soup. I went with the feteer chicken since it's a light breading vs the hawashi. The lentil is extremely runny, doesn't taste as expected, rather subtle flavors, mostly bland. Some rice as filler. Comes in a small cup. The falafels are shaped like small donuts, they are crispy, but the inside is soft. They aren't too bad, just mostly taste the oil from the fry session more than the chick peas. There is a good amount of seating. And everything was clean. As far as location goes, it's in a great spot right on Inkster Rd. Whether you're in the neighborhood, driving through, or coming from the hospital, this is an easy spot to get to with easy parking out front. This is not a complaint--in fact, it's the complete opposite. It's a heartfelt thank you. I had ordered a Feast for Two as a birthday dinner for my husband, with a pickup time of 8:45 p.m. On my way to the restaurant, a severe storm rolled through. I tried calling several times but couldn't get through. When I arrived, I discovered the power had gone out. I know situations like that can be incredibly stressful for a restaurant. Customers are disappointed, phones are ringing, and everyone is trying to figure out what to do. Through all of that, your staff remained calm, kind, professional, and genuinely compassionate. They checked to see whether my meal had been completed, explained that the power had only gone out a few minutes earlier, and apologized even though the situation was completely out of their control. They took my name and phone number, assured me my refund would be processed once the power returned, and even offered to remake the meal the following day if I wanted. When I explained that it was my husband's birthday and that, unfortunately, this was the second birthday celebration that had gone sideways, they truly cared. They wished him a happy birthday over the phone and even offered us pie to help celebrate. That simple act of kindness meant more than they probably realize. I've eaten at many restaurants over the years, and when unexpected situations happen, it's often the attitude of the staff that determines the experience. Your team's attitude was outstanding. They were patient, empathetic, and treated every customer with respect despite the difficult circumstances. I'm a very easygoing person, and I understand that Mother Nature doesn't check with restaurants before ruining dinner plans. We ended up finding another place to grab takeout and still enjoyed some wonderful pie for dessert. In the end, we were reminded that birthdays aren't really about the food--they're about spending time with the people you love. Because of the way your staff handled this situation, I will absolutely be back. I don't even live close to your restaurant, but you've earned a loyal customer. I'll gladly recommend the Westland Famous Dave's to anyone looking for not only great barbecue, but exceptional customer service from people who truly care. Consistently good carryout. Nice kabobs, good shawarma, cooked on a spit the traditional way. Nice fresh salads, carryout has dressing on the side, a nice touch. Good homemade dressing, and delicious rice with toasted almonds. This place deserves more business, I think the location probably hurts a little, but come on folks, this is the best you have around for traditional Lebanese food. Prices in line or a little lower then the other restaurants serving this style. I'll put up with the longer lines if it means they stay in the neighborhood. read more

Absolutely a tasty alternative for Middle Eastern food in Westland. Ordered a takeout for my family last night and the service was amazing. I was even offered to taste a sample of the chicken as I waited for my carryout order. The Fattoush salad, the tabbouleh, the hummus were all delicious as was the grilled chicken! For vegetarians and non-vegetarians, the falafel, hummus and tabbouleh sandwich is a perfect choice. Food is just super fresh, reasonably priced and flavorful. I was visiting a relative who lives in an apartment near the restaurant. I love Chicken Shawarma, so thought I would give them a try. I ordered two and ate one for dinner. He added some house-made hot sauce when I said I wanted spice. The food itself is great. Well flavored lentil soup and a very well made lemon oregano chicken tawook. Falafel tasted good but the dressing or the salad that were packed along made it soggy in the bottom. Good flavor though. Chicken Kabob Wrap was okay. Shish Kofta Wrap wasn't char grilled. Both the wraps were very dry and small portions.

The lady who was at the counter helped me as I was a first-time customer and the staff were friendly and welcoming. There were a handful of carry out meals in works and a few regulars. This restaurant is located in a plaza that could be missed. Inside it is clean and there are a few tables available for eating in. One could see the open grill flame where the meats are cooked or the large ovens where the fresh pita bread is made to order. You can watch the food being assembled. I ordered a lamb Bowl and a chicken shawarma pita. There is an assortment of vegetables for the bowl and pita building experience. All in which taste fresh and full of flavor. My mom had no complaints and said she would go back! I enjoyed my pita! There are an assortment of sauces to select from to I enjoyed their garlic, there was a spicy harissa, and another I forget the name-- they were all bursting with flavor! As I waited for my meal I was planning what I'd like to return and try. I would definitely say if you like mediterranean food, you don't wanna miss the spot.
