Some sort of insect that I didn't order was in my salad ... after I ate most of it. Will NOT be returning.

Ordered the lunch combo with a sandwich and two sides, fries are undercooked and soggy, I'm pretty sure the chicken is undercooked as well. Side fattoush was just okay but I'm starving so I ate it, to my wonderful surprise I was taking a bite and noticed something that I thought was an eyelash ... nope, it was some kind of bug. Needless to say everything went to the trash.

Okay this is my second review. I said I would try other dishes and I have been here 3 times this week. My second visit I did pickup. I ordered the Fattoush salad again with the vinaigrette and it did not taste the same. It also had chunks of carrots which I didn't understand. The taste may have been because the dressing taste different. I give t 6/10. My third visit I did DoorDash again because I didn't have time to pick it up. This time I ordered the Veggie Ghallaba entree. It consisted of sautéed tomatoes, onions, orange peppers and a few carrots. The flavor was very nice. Next time I would omit the onions. I'm not much of an onion person. The side salad tasted like the first one with vinaigrette dressing. I don't know if the smaller salads are more flavorful or maybe it was a hot or miss when I ordered the large salad alone. Overall very good place to have food.

This is a tiny place inside a gas station but pretty descent. Prices are pretty cheap. I have tried their chicken shawarma sandwich which was pretty descent ,considering there are so many better options in this area. I felt they should add more sauce to the sandwich making it less dry. They do add lots of meat but if the ratio of meat to sauce is off then the sandwich becomes very dry.

Billis NEVER disappoints! As always, I was greeted when I walked in. Order was taken immediately and accurately made. The store is clean and smells great. This not so hidden gem continues to crank out great food at a great price. Great food. Great service. Great people!

Seen this place and wanted to try it out, so for lunch, staff ordered their meals. They delivered! Yeah! I ordered the almond rice with salad and a side of hummus! One of the best and flavored salads. The almond rice was seasoned as well. I can honestly say, I'm looking forward to now visiting the restaurant and having a sit down meal.

Sarah walked me through the menu and showed me some of the more popular items and how to eat them. The food! I ordered the Fatteh with meat and the spicy potatoes. It was just me and this was a lot of food. There was pita and assorted pickled veggies served as well. Every bite was like a flavor bomb. So good, so delicious. I loved the seasoning, spices, and texture. I would order these items again but next time I will have to try some new things. So many things to choose from. Service was great. Sarah was helpful since it was my first time here. She encouraged me to try some of their more popular items but also explained other options on the menu for now or next time. There is a good amount of seating. And everything was clean. As far as location goes, it's in a great spot right on Inkster Rd. Whether you're in the neighborhood, driving through, or coming from the hospital, this is an easy spot to get to with easy parking out front. Al Tayeb gives you a great taste of Lebanese food and flavors right in your backyard. I will come here again and bring friends.

Parking spaces were ample as the neighboring businesses weren't busy at all during this holiday week. The inside was not ornately decorated as some of the fancier places in the area that serve this type of cuisine. Between the booths and tables, my estimate was that the seating capacity was around 50 customers. The menu booklet contained several pages of offerings across the categories of appetizers, soups, salads, sides, wraps/subs, traditional dishes, and seafood/chops. For beverages, there were juices, smoothies, coffee, tea, and soft drinks. My friends each chose a different type of wrap for their meal. I picked one of the entrees from the traditional dishes which was the Gallaba over Hummus. In my hometown, I don't see gallaba as often as items like shish kabobs and shawarma. My order consisted of a choice of meat (lamb was my pick) sauteed with green peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, and carrots with special spices added. The mixture was served on a bed of hummus with my choice of rice on the side. A cup of chicken rice soup (instead of lentil) also came with this traditional dish. While we were waiting for our food, a basket of warm pita bread and a cup of garlic spread were provided. The spread was very pungent so I used it sparingly. An extra dinner salad was mistakenly added which I saved for leftovers. The gallaba was essentially a Middle Eastern version of a meat stir fry. The pieces of lamb were tender and not gamey. The spices added flavor but not saltiness. Between the bread, soup, rice, and gallaba, it was a generous portion size that also became leftovers for later. For the quality and price of my meal, I gave a four star rating for our visit to The Sheikh Restaurant.

The food is even better than its predecessor in the same location. In my opinion, it has the best fahsah (even better than another Canton location or their Dearborn twin restaurant). More flavor, more meat, and a tastier crunchier bread to go with it. The other options have more variety than many other places. I like the broiled chicken, the chicken shawarma, shawarma combo... tons of delicious options. I can't stop thinking about the fahsah, though. It's a "stick in your mind forever" kind of dish, especially the way they prepare it here. The appetizers (Kibbee, Ghanouj, Hummus, Spicy Potatoes) were all fantastic. Careful with the veggie grape leaves, though! They tasted like a pile of bitter lemon and were a bit tough to eat - only bad thing I've ever had here. One of the biggest improvements over the restaurant that was here before is the service. Previously, we went and felt ignored as the servers left water cups empty and didn't bring parts of our meal and chatted with their friends - the service was terrible. This new restaurant, with a different menu but with some familiar items, doesn't share the same fate - the team members here are attentive, and friendly, and the place feels cleaner and more well-kept. I highly recommend going to Al-Jannah. Did I mention the fahsah enough times yet? :)
