Good: Friendly counter service from Ahmed. Bad: I wanted the gyro which after asking is both lamb and beef combined for $10.95 but I was directed twice to the beef shawarma for a $1 more. This is apparently one of the top sellers with chicken shawarma and hot spicy chicken. So, I was told comes with onions, tomatoes and tahini sauce. The beef is cooked well but rather tasteless and not seasoned well. I had skipped onions, just got tomato/tahini sauce fyi. Was a bit disappointed so saved half to go home and doctor it with hot sauce to make it more tasty. read more

Was in the mood for Shawarma and grape leaves, I'm an Abu Omar Halal regular, they don't miss the mark, but wanted to try something new and saw this place has high number of reviews in Google and a good score... and they didn't disappoint!!! 100% recommended! For whatever reason each time I go to Abu Omar Halal, they never have Lamb, these guy do! So I ordered the Lamb Kebab and the Beef Shawarma to try both, i honestly wasn't impressed with the shawarma that much, it was good don't get me wrong, but it just didn't impacted me that much, but what was impressively good was the Lamb Kebab !!! MAN!!!! And the orange sauce they cook it on is just so tasty and makes the lamb so juicy! The grapes leave where a different experience to what I'm used to as well, they're more spicy here which I liked, and they served very hot. My wife and I shared a plate and a couple sides and it was more than we could eat. The All Inn Grill plate was tasty, the beef kefta, spicy chicken and chicken koobidah with rice, jerusalem salad, hummus, an extra side of baba ganoush (pureed eggplant) and pita bread were 5 stars. We even enjoyed a cup of black coffee. The only thing that could have been better was a cup of ice for our cans of diet soda. The manager of this establishment needs to seek anger management therapy and find a job far far away from customer service. My friend placed an order online. She had proof and confirmations of her order details and payment. The employees could not find her order in their system, and called for the manager who then proceeded to SCREAM at her, claiming she was lying about placing an order (despite her having literal proof). No person should ever be spoken to like that, especially a customer who is showing you literal evidence that she placed an order and paid for your subpar food. Customers beware: when you arrive to pick up your order, make sure you have your order confirmation, bank statements, 2 pieces of mail, your SSN, updated credit score, and your birth certificate handy. Because there's a good chance you'll be met with aggression and allegations rather than a decent manager who has even a crumb of problem-solving skills or basic human decency. read more

Oh my god??? It's SO good. This will definitely be my go-to for shawarma and Mediterranean food--even over Fadi's. The meat and vegetables are all served perfectly and the sauces were also really good (garlic, tzatziki). We also had some hummus that tasted very fresh and balanced. This place used to be House of Kabobs. I don't know if it's by the same owners. You order at the counter. If you pay with a credit card, there's a 3.5 percent charge. I ordered a small hummus and a tabbouli. The hummus comes with one pita bread cut in half. It's quite good. But $5.95 is too much. The tabbouli was missing something. Perhaps the parsley needs to be finer. I asked if I could get another pita bread. The cashier said, "It's $1.50, I think." The spicy was not spicy for my standards, but the seasoning was mouthwatering 4/5 for both shawarma. I also got the baklava. I was good, 3.5/5. The service was spectacular and welcoming. TLDR: There are much better Mediterranean food spots along Westheimer and Richmond with better service. We ate here tonight (1/2/24) because we saw them featured on a Houston foodie Instagram post thinking it was going to be good. It was completely empty, but we gave it the benefit of the doubt. Walked in, it looked clean enough, but no greeting. I had to ask if we just sit down, and the person at the register said yes. We'd never been here before. They gave us menus, and when we were ready to order, we let them know. The person at the register said we're supposed to order at the counter. Okay. We order the food, wait, and when it was ready, we were told it was ready to pick up at the counter. Oookay. I think to myself, "It's a self serve restaurant, I guess. Don't know why I had to tip, but okay." We eat, and a an older Arab man and his daughter (could be his wife, not sure) walk in to order. They offer this man and lady some coffee. This was advertised on the Instagram as complimentary. We were not offered coffee when we came in nor for the duration of our time there. I thought that was weird but brushed it off. Some time passes until their food was ready, and we were finishing up. I want to emphasize that they served them their food at their table while we had to pick ours up from the counter. We're a diverse group, and I feel like that attributed to the mediocre service. My friend asked for a to go box, and the man at the counter just pointed to the to go boxes above the counter instead of giving her one. My boyfriend bussed our own table. Why do I have to leave a tip if we had to do all the service work with people who were actively sitting around instead of waiting tables? It was only us and the couple in this restaurant. I've frequented many Mediterranean restaurants with better, friendlier service and do not mind tipping there. I've worked in customer facing jobs before and know that customer service makes the restaurant. I've been here once to try it, but I will not be back. read more

The shawarma is good but their garlic sauce tastes horrible. Idk what kind of garlic sauce they use but it's literally the worst garlic sauce Ive ever had and it ruins the entire meal. You can't have good chicken shawarma with garlic sauce. Abu Omar, Al Mankal grill, Shawarma king, Phoenicia, literally every other place in Houston has better garlic sauce.
