I've been a customer here for over 18 years, and every time I come, I receive the same great quality. Whenever they update the menu, I usually enjoy the new items. However, the new cashier an older lady has a very bad attitude. Every time she takes my order, it makes the experience uncomfortable. This has been a spot that has been here for years. When I tell you this is the best middle eastern cheese pizza in town. Believe it. It's made with akawi cheese. My favorite is the falafel bread which has falafel, tomato,pickles. Parsley, and tahini. . The falafel one was $7.95. The cheese bread one was $5.35 I believe. The service is always friendly. It's been going on for thousands of years, how did I not know? Soft tender flaky crust topped with one of the favorite Lebanese toppings like Za'atar, cheese, or meat. This casual and informal bakery was where I had lunch today. It's located in a run down strip center and there is enough parking in front if you are patient. At the counter, I ordered a meat and cheese pizza for $3.75 and added a sambosik for another $1.25. Along with a hot tea my bill with tax was about $7. Here you get your tea the old fashioned way...fill your cup with hot water and then add a teabag. The food was ready in less than 10 minutes. My pizza was about 9-10 inches in diameter and quite good and tasty. The cheese and meat on the thin crust was delightful to eat. Nothing fancy with just those two toppings but it's good cheap food (4). The sambosik is like a pastry with fillings of cream cheese and a few olives. The dough and cream cheese was ok in taste but at that price point I really couldn't complain (3). This place isn't open at night. They also have beef and chicken shawarma. If you know anything about mana2eesh from back home, this is the middle eastern spot you want to be at every morning for breakfast. I am not from here, but as soon as I pulled I could smell the bakery brewing it's best pies! Really felt like home again. Even the ordered process is similar to the middle eastern way, there is no necessary line but once you pay and get your number no one jumps the gun there. The crew is great, fun and amusing! Getting my truck fixed and asked my mechanic of middle eastern decent where I should try out. With hesitation in his eyes after looking me up and down, he pointed across the street to a dim small bakery across the street. I'm glad he did. The aromas and spices hit your nose upon entering and you somewhat know before trying the food this place will be good. All pastries are cooked in brick ovens. I got the kafta with cheese and it was delicious. My Lebanese friends told me to order the monoushe. I didn't see that on the menu but next time I will try that. read more

While for the basic za'atar and cheese, I still prefer Abdallah's because of the slight difference in the dough itself. But that's not to knock off this place - this place churns out tasty Lebanese manakish/pizzas/pies! And the popularity of the place shows - when I came in, it was packed, tables full, and people waiting to take out. That oven never had a minute of rest for the entire time I was there. Their pies are still one of the best in Houston, and I've known them ever since they started off in a small bakery by Bellaire and Highway 6. They grew and grew, and kept growing still. Their variety for the manaqish are still unparalleled, with toppings of sujuk, labneh, harhoura (veggies), cheese, meat, kafta, halloum (seems to be popular), shawarma (beef and chicken) and more being available. They have an impressive 20 different toppings to choose from! So come for the mana2sh (yes, I've written the spelling in three different ways already). They also have sambusik which I haven't tried but seems to be popular. And also the kunafa that they make in-house were gone when I arrived - so that's something I'm going to have to try next time. They also started selling something called mashrouha or mashrooha which isn't exactly a popular name in the US - but these are larger and thinner manaqish. If the dough for mashrouha is more to my liking, then I'm afraid Abdallah's going to have to run for their money. This place is a must for every Lebanese-pie lovers out there. read more

Very good mana2eesh to eat here. They have pita bread, and lots of options for mana2eesh, which are a type of dough with toppings on top. Similar to a pizza but so much better. The atmosphere is really cozy in the morning when sitting with your family. They have outside seating too. I would've gave them a 5, but a little annoying incident happened there with an employee that was treated unwell unfortunately. Other than that, food is good. read more
