I'm honestly so confused on these yelp reviews because this place was not it. The inside looked nothing like the pictures and not at all appealing. I tried ordering hummus and they didn't even have any. The pitas were horrible and not freshly made, literally just tasted like a crispy packaged tortilla. Everything was just bad there. They had a random fruit stand that had fake fruit in it, they sell can drinks and bottled water, which is ok because I probably wouldn't feel safe drinking actual fountain drinks there. Decor was plain and scary. The service was nice though and they tried. Overall I'd never return or ever order anything here. read more

What a wonderful find! My husband and I decided to try something new and randomly decided to come here because we were in the area and I'm sooo happy we found this place. The food, OMG, it's hands down the BEST Mediterranean food we have ever had! Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. We ordered the Combination Platter #1 and it was amazingly delicious. The chicken shawarma was literally the best we'd ever tasted and the chicken and beef kabob were melt-in-your mouth tender and flavorful. The Hummus and Baba Ghannouj were to die for and the extra side of Tzatziki was also amazing. The service was lovely and very personable and the price was super reasonable. The meat was super good quality and that was especially noteworthy considering so many restaurants are skimping on the quality of meat they serve because of this horrible inflation. Tastes good but not a lot of food at a pretty high price. I ordered the mixed grill for one and it had two small cubes of chicken and beef and a short ground beef kebab. Terrible food. Disgusting service. Overpriced and overhyped for less than Mid middle eastern food. Order $140 worth of food and only about $30 of it was edible. The shameful part was this was a to go order and didn't realize until we got home that more than half of the food they packed was burnt. I'm not talking slightly charred I mean burnt completely black and smells and tastes burnt. This was the first and absolutely last time. What a shame! I've never experienced anything like this at a restaurant. Instead of focusing on customer service, they seem to be running a towing trap. While I was there, I saw car after car being towed -- easily 15 to 20 in one day. It was shocking. Customers shouldn't have to worry about their vehicles being snatched while they're just trying to grab a meal. Whether or not the restaurant is directly involved, it feels like they're working hand-in-hand with the towing company, and it comes across as predatory. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, I'd stay far away. There are plenty of honest places to eat that don't put their customers at risk. read more

Simply put, this place is a lot of hype and not much getting it right. The prices make you think portions or at least quality is much higher than in reality, where you're actually paying for a bit of pomp and none of the circumstance. If it wasn't for the rave reviews of fellow foodies down here in Houston, I wouldn't have even stopped here at all. Service here is quite dedicated to the upsell, which I can kind of understand, because if you spend a little extra you'll end up getting the meal portion you originally wanted. Food takes a fair amount of time to cook and for some reason during my visit, they just didn't have anyone staffed at the front for multiple periods. There's not much to look at in terms of ambiance while you're waiting either. As for the food, it's pretty average to disappointing Meditteranean food overall. The fries were my favorite part with seasonings and sauce abound, while the chicken shawarma followed with the same leg up. Their hummus is not smooth, beef shawarma slightly bitter and their roast chicken much, much too conservative on their supposedly famous sauce. If only my mouth ate as well as my camera did. Overall, it's not the worst food I've ever eaten, but between what I expected and what I got, it's certainly one of the largest gaps I've found. I'd suggest going to one of the many other Mediterranean restaurants around Houston instead. read more

The chicken, and beef aren't over cooked and dry. You can choose sides like adding french fries or tabbouleh. I really enjoy their tabbouleh because it's limey, herby, and packs a punch of freshness. This is one of those places I'd like to keep to myself because it's yet to be discovered by the masses BUT in the end really want to inspire others to take a chance on this inconspicuous restaurant that sits off Westheimer but gets overlooked because of the vast parking lot of food trucks next to it. Definitely doesn't look like much on the outside BUT the grilled chicken was nothing short of AMAZING! The sauce was tangy, the chicken was juicy and it's a taste you'll not soon forget (or want to forget EVER). The fattoush (salad) was also stellar, it was a hot summer day & I was craving a fresh, crisp, invigorating salad, it hit all the marks for me. We found this restaurant on Yelp, it had good reviews and everything looks amazing. It's a small hole in the wall type of establishment. We walked into an empty place, looked at the menu board, it had a good variety of dishes that would please pretty much anyone. We had to ring the bell for someone to come out to take our order. Combination Platter - 1 (3 stars) came with half Grilled Chicken, 1 Kabab Skewer, 1 Chicken Shawarma, Grilled Veggies and 2 Sides. We decided on the Hummus and Baba Ghannouj. The Grilled Chicken had good flavors with some smokiness to it, the sauce was really good. The Kabab was a little on the dry side, we've had better. Grilled veggies was literally a small wedge of an onion LOL, they did include some fresh diced tomatoes and slivered pickles. The chicken Shawarma was probably the best. It had great flavors and saucy/moist inside. The pita bread that came with the appetizers were terrible though. It was tough and stale. I got the combination platter 3. the rice was buttery, garlic aoili with a capital G, enough bread to roll kabobs and then some more. He pioneered that vinegary sour yet savory bbq sauce on the coal grilled chicken...you will clean or accidentally ingest the chicken bones.. super flavorful. the sandwiches are not just side kicks here. Chicken Francisco has creamy corn mayo and is panini pressed so you don't drop any ingredient out. The chicken shawarma bites are bit messy ..but who cares.. you got mayo all around you.. the goat chops were tender and butter knife worthy. yes.. goat chops tasted like goat..(if you don't like that goaty taste, you've been warned) Even the fries have that crisp texture and were rich velvety inside. For ramadan they also had complimentary lentil soup..which had roasted garlicky butter taste. I got 2 bowls of it. I also got their fresh fruit cocktail. antioxidants, vitamins and the perfect way to top off the feast. Everything in picture and drinks and gratuity came to $109.53. Man the sandwiches here are actually yummy but the customer service was confusing...let me explain I ordered via the link on their website(which btw I later found out everything is more expensive when you order on their website rather than using Grub Hub...how does that make sense?) Anyways when we got there, he said he didn't receive the order and we had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the food. Just order off Grub Hub if you're going to order ahead because it seems like they pay more attention to those orders. As for the food: The sandwiches were dang good and still fresh tasting even after driving 25 mins back to Sugar Land. They taste very unique and I love how crispy the naan is on the outside- ask for extra crispy! We ordered one chicken tawook sandwich and one shawarma sandwich and tbh they tasted basically the exact same LOL. Like idk if he accidentally gave us two of the same thing but either way we enjoyed them regardless! Order either one and you'll be satisfied.
