I came in and was greeted by a sweet and kind women who took my order. I had the Falafel wrap, lentil soup and hummus. It was so delicious I came back the next day and ordered their homemade golden bread, 6pc falafel, Fattoush salad and grape leaves. A gentlemen took my order and again was very kind along with the women. He even let me know that if I warm the bread in the oven it will be delicious rather than the microwave. I am still in the establishment writing this review bc the vibe here is one I can feel enriched in family, culture and good energy. I didn't want to forget to give them love written in this review in exchange for food made with love. Thank you Schawarma & Grill family.. I will be back.. (maybe too often ;) my only regret is that I didn't ask their names and offer mine bc now we are officially in a food/love relationship. P.S the smell of the food is so fantastic! Tried this place for the first time. Food and service was good. It's more "authentic" than my usual - Cali Kabob. Gyros were good (homemade), albeit on the salty side. Rice, Falafel and Tabouleh were all good. For some reason the salad that came with the Gyros plate was made with cabbage, I much prefer lettuce. The Tabouleh was tasty, but had almost no grain in it. It was pretty much a parsley salad. Hummus was uninspired. Not terrible, but kind of bland, which I would never say about any other place I've had hummus including the grocery store. The plate sizes were very large, but the prices were quite high too. Overall, I favor Cali Kabob slighty due to their bolder flavors. If I was getting Gyros, I'd come here. read more

Very pleasant surprise!! The food was outstanding! We especially liked the gyro as it was fresh and flavorful. The rice, hummus and salad were great accompaniments to the platters. The rice was flavorful and fluffy. The hummus was smooth and had a nice citrus flavor. Overall will definitely go back based on the freshness and flavors. I really love the food here but man have they raised the prices! I want to go back, I really do...but it's not economical for a family of 5.

This place goes the extra mile to give you your money worth. The spinach soup was probably the best thing there. The hummus was the best I have ever had and you have to try the stuff grape leaves! You could tell they were proud of the product they were serving, that is hard to find anymore these days. All of the meat was well seasoned, well prepared, and served with care. So so good! They really put care into making their food. Super accommodating of our family's food allergies. Chicken kabob has yogurt marinade and garlic sauce has yogurt, so not for the lactose intolerant but the chicken shawarma and ground chicken kefta kabob are both dairy free. All of the meat, veggies, rice are gluten free and they took care to put the pita in a separate container. Really flavorful. Definitely ordering from here again! read more

Just moved to Temecula and was on the hunt for my new go-to Greek spot and this place was NOT IT. So I came here the other night and ordered a combo plate with chicken shawarma and gyro meat and also ordered a Greek salad. The gyro meat was good, but the chicken was flavorless and the garlic sauce it came with not garlicky at all. My Greek salad was sooo salty it was inedible. I literally took two bites and had to toss the rest. Such a huge disappointment. Guess I'm still on the hunt for a go-to Greek restaurant around here. read more

A must-try! On our way home from the Pechanga resort, we decided to take a break for a bite to eat. Our combo gyro and beef plate was perfect. There was plenty of meat, which paired well with the rice and hummus. I liked the gyro better than the beef because it was more tender. It's a good idea to add hot sauce and sour cream to the dish as they enhance the flavor. I would definitely frequent this place if I lived closer! This is my favorite place to get Mediterranean food in Temecula. Sometimes the wait can be a little long but the spices and seasoning and flavor are always on point. The only reason I'm giving a three is because today I received the wrong order and I found plastic in my beef shawarma plate today...I'm really shocked. It looks like it might be cling wrap or something, but I'm just surprised as to how it got into the plate. Delicious shawarma just minutes from where we live--hooray! The meat is authentically cooked in upright spits making for tender and flavorful beef, lamb, or chicken to put in a wrap or in a plate. The restaurant is casual with a few tables inside for dining and a dog friendly patio outside. For clarification, their gyro is lamb only and their beef is a combination of beef and lamb. When you order a wrap, it's prepared different if it's a gyro wrap versus a beef shawarma wrap. The gyro is is loosely wrapped and filled with a generous serving of meat, topped with tomatoes, onions and sauce. It's messy. The beef wrap is tightly wrapped and tomatoes and onions are barely visible, not so much sauce, neater to eat. But, in my opinion there is no comparison in the tenderness and flavor of the gyro meat. The gyro may be messy, but it is by far my favorite. I haven't tried the chicken and plates yet. Their sides also look good. I will be back often to try more of the menu. read more

Came on a Saturday night and ordered the combo plate (gyro and chicken) and the beef plate, both were excellent! I would highly recommend for anyone who wants a BIG plate of delicious and healthy food I wanted to write a review because I realize how lucky Temecula is to have so many cultural restaurants. In Wolf Store Plaza (there is Greek, Irish, Korean, Mexican, and more). Cmon Temecula, bring in more traffic to your local restaurants! Schwarma Grill is top notch and truly a must try for all locals. I love the family vibe of Schwarma Grill, they even offered me some of their red lentil soup (delicious and flavorful) :) I will definitely come again, as mentioned before: a must try! Quick stop for lunch with friends here today. And we were hungry. Ordered the kebab combo plate and I enjoyed every bit. The pita was fresh. The hummus was creamy. The salad was crunchy, though it had cabbage which was not preferable but an unexpectedly good addition. I didn't really like the dressing but tahini sauce on the salad was a good move with the dressing. Rice was soo good. And the meat was perfect. Shawarma Grill is an awesome Mediterranean restaurant. Located on the interior of businesses near Kalarneys. Kind of a hole in the wall....but who cares I found it! Probably 7 to 8 tables inside and I believe 4 tables on the patio....dog friendly patio! The shawarma is first rate and totally legit. The meat hangs on the spit waiting for you the lamb/beef is the bomb in the gyro. We got so much meat that I take some out so I can taste the veggies and tiziki sauce. The plates I saw looked awesome and they even have boba ganesh. For dessert Baklava which is brought in. Great atmosphere here and the staff is very friendly! The bathrooms are unisex, very clean and nicely decorated, and Jen G approved! Cant wait to work my way through their menu. This is my new go to for shawarma!
