    Red Snapper in Sauce

My son and I were in south Jersey in search of a good meal and we found it. The red snapper and shrimp creole is definitely something to talk about . The black rice, cabbage and Mac and cheese was something that made you taste buds scream for more. The customer service was more than I expected it was the best I have ever had. Must definitely try the wings they leave you with less to desire. Most importantly the restaurant is extremely clean

Top notch- my wife loved the fish with black rice. She stated the cornbread was the best she ever had. Super friendly counter girl. Props! - Neil

Mind blowing flavors. One of my favorite restaurants. Try the ox tail and their rice is very flavorful.

The portion is big and includes fried plantains. All dishes on the menu posted by me on Nov 15 are available every day. Their host is extremely friendly and eager to please your needs.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem. I just so happened to search for Haitian black…read morerice and griot and this restaurant popped up. The griot pork is what I always get, most times along with another entree to try out. As an entree I usually get the rice and beans (delicious flavor rice that sells out quick), 2 fried green plantain, a small condiment of "picklie" pickled slaw to add a kick, a small condiment of gravy and a small portion of macaroni salad. I've also tried the whole snapper and Ox tail, white rice with black bean sauce, and the black rice. Honestly everything has great flavor. My faves are the pork griot and ox tail. My only reason for not giving 5 star is that for the price, the portion size has not always been consistent and if they run out of a side I have not gotten it equally replaced with another option. I hope they improve in that area. Other than that, I highly recommend the flavorful dishes.

It's not your typical restaurant they have like 2 or 3 tables but there's old men (probably family) sitting there talking in Creole. There's no menu anywhere, so if you're not familiar with the food already you won't know. The food isn't labeled and they in the tin pans. However, the food is amazing. The piklis is so good/spicy. The griot and black rice were so flavorful. I will come back. The ambiance isn't great, but the authenticity of the food is what drives their business.

It's home-cooked Haitian food, and it's worth the visit as I enjoyed my food. The service is typical of a home-cooked place: you'll get your food quickly, but this is a grab-and-go spot, not a dine-in experience. One thing to note: if you ask for anything extra, like I did for an additional scoop of rice, expect an upcharge (in my case, $5 for just one scoop). While an up charge for extra is understandable, just make sure the upcharge feels reasonable. Would recommend if you're craving authentic Haitian cuisine!

What a welcomed surprise!…read more We were craving some authentic Jamaican food and as per, Yelp didn't disappoint. We placed an online order for pickup (no dining in) and within about 3 minutes the owner (Orville) called us and alerted us that the steamed fish can take about 25 minutes. This helped us plan our trip, and we greatly appreciated it! We ordered the Jerk Chicken, Curry Chicken, and the Steamed Fish. We selected rice and beans/peas for our starchy sides and green beans for our vegetables. And we threw in an order of Fried Plantains (I cannot pass them up EVER). The restaurant is small and immaculately clean. I had the pleasure of chatting with Orville while he completed my to-go order. I love a hands-on business owner who genuinely cares about his product. The aromas were making my stomach growl, and I couldn't wait to get home to dig in! The portions were huge, and this made my day, as I love having lunch options for the next day (and the day following!). Everything was piping hot and sensational. You know how you can tell when food is made with love? Well, our dishes were created with extra helpings. SO GOOD. The restaurant is located in a strip mall with ample parking. There is nothing worse than circling the block and trying to find street parking...not so here! We are so thankful for having found this little gem!

I ordered takeout so I did not discover this mistake until after I got home. So disappointing and underwhelming.
